Carl's The Sims 3 Part Time Jobs Guide
Taking a part time job is available to any non-working Sim in the Sims 3. This is the only way a Teen or Elder can work, but any Sim in between can also take up one of these positions. They're an excellent way for Sims who pursue skills to get some extra income, or for the younger and older generations to bring in some extra income for the household.
Almost all part time jobs have similar pay, so pick the job with the hours your Sim would like to work, rather than basing the decision on money. You may also want to perform some job for role-play purposes, such as the graveyard jobs. Since they're almost all the same, I'll dispense with the tables and give you a short rundown of the various types of jobs that are available. Note that base pay figures are given, and your Sim can earn raises after level 3 if they keep their job performance up. All part time jobs have three promotion levels. Generally, working at the spa or graveyard provides the best part time jobs as they earn $8 an hour more at the second promotion.
