The Sims 3 Challenges
2010 Tournament Season
This year we will be pursuing a new idea with the Sims 3 challenges created at our forum. A tournament is underway where players are ranked on their performance in a collection of tasks created specifically for the tourney. Although ranking data is availble for people who've completed three challenges, it's not too late to join the season! Only those Sims 3 challenges crafted specifically for the tournament season will be counted toward a player's world ranking.
It's important to note that in order to participate you will need to register at our forum. Why? You need to state your intention to participate in the appropriate challenge thread before you begin taking one on. This is good for sportsmanship and lets us know how many participants to expect.
The winner of our unofficial Sims 3 challenge tournament will receive not only a complimentary copy of the Sims 3's next expansion, but a plaque stating their champion status in the tournament. We look forward to distributing this prize. While the expansion will save dedicated Simmers some money on ordering their next expansion, the plaque will serve as a permenant reminder of their superiority.
If you came here looking for Challenges for The Sims 3, World Adventures, or Ambitions, you may pursue any of ours, even if they're closed. Your score just won't count for the tournament.

Hall of Fame
Click to view the Hall of Fame, which features intel from challenge champions on the strategy they used to get the highest score. This applies to all closed challenges. Try to beat them for fun, and learn from their plans how you might improve your score in future events.
The Perfectly Happy Challenge
This challenge is now closed. The first challenge of the season, your task is to create and find as many perfect variants of fish, recipe, and plant in the game within the set time limit of 100 days. Planning will be crucial as players are only allowed one trip to each of World Adventures' 3 destinations. Read up on the specific rules by following the link and add your name to the leaderboard before time runs out.
Zeus and Hera's Nectar-Making Invitational
This challenge is now closed. Your goal in this challenge is to make as much money with the Nectar Making skill from World Adventures as possible within 100 days and with a single trip to France. Read up on the rules at the linked forum thread and consider adding your name to the list of participants.
The Sunset Valley/Riverview Team Upgrade Race
Closed. This challenge will send your Sims on a mission to upgrade every item in Sunset Valley and Riverview. Read the thread for official rules, scoring and a list of objects that can be upgraded in the two neighborhoods.
The Career Couples' Grand Slam Challenge
Closed. Earn a "grand slam" by maxing out 2 Sims in 4 careers each. The fastest finish time will win. Completing career challenges helps lower your completion time, resulting in a better score. See the thread for detailed rules.
Baby Boomer II: 50 Days of Extreme Parenting
Closed. A revamp of the original, highly popular Baby Boomer challenge, this one will score you based not only on the number of kids your Sims can make in a set amount of time, but is also heavily weighed on parenting skills.
Political "Traiter" to the World
Closed This is a very interesting challenge. Players are tasked with earning the most money possible in campaign fundraisers, and learning other Sims' traits. Learning the traits of qualifying special NPCs such as the firefighter and becoming their best friend will also count toward the final score. Be sure to bone up on how charisma works, and check out Metro's own article on How to Throw a Great Party.
House Hunters: Movin' On Up
Runs May 7 to July 18. Improve your Sims' lifestyle living in the neighborhood's pre-furnished homes. Your task is to move into better and better homes. The catch? You can only purchase one new item for each house and it can't be a replacement for something that already exists. The final value of all homes you've sold will calculate the final score. For more detailed rules see the link.
The Crazy Eights Collector's Challenge
Runs May 28 to August 8. You'd be way off if you thought this challenge was your typical collecting challenge. Instead, you'll be tasked with completing 8 unique collections of accomplishments. Each collection has 8 things that need to be done, such as acquiring 8 romantic interests, becoming a true snob and getting the finest things in a Sim life, and of course finding some of the rare items gathered through normal collecting.
The Random Wishmaster's Quartet
Runs June 18 to August 29. Try to amass as many Lifetime Happiness points as possible for 4 Sims. There's a catch, however. You'll need to make them randomly and choose from one of the five Lifetime Wishes that come up. It's a whopper of a challenge allows Ambitions content.
Following Romantic Interests to the Letter
July 9 to September 19. Try to get as many romantic interests as possible with a single Sim. There's a catch, however. You must proceed alphabetically by the Sim's last name. For further details, read the forum post. This will challenge your skills with relationship building and romance, and possibly your knowledge of the Sims in town. After all, after reaching Z you're done!
