The Sims 3 Challenges List
2012 Challenge Tournament Season
The final tournament season is upon us. A lot has changed in regards to rules and how the challenges are approached. Please be sure to read the 2012 Sims 3 Tournament Overview. From there, you are good to go starting January 2 and throughout the year. Remember, it requires three entries in order to achieve a world ranking.
Special Challenges:
Tom Schlueter, aka Metropolis Man, has created many challenges for our forum. He has made two stand-alone multi-generational events for The Sims 3. These are the Immortal Dynasty and Townie DecaDynasty challenges. Click to learn more and get the rules for these non-tournament events.
About our Challenges and Tournament
Although this page covers our Challenge tournament, players looking for Sims 3 Challenges may pursue those that were created for the tournament for their casual play. You can also run a search for challenges with our custom Sims 3 search to see the many challenges that have been created for our site.
Our Sims 3 Challenge Tournament Coordinator, Metropolis Man, decided that instead of requiring you to state intent to participate this year, you're free to jump into any events you'd like to play throughout the season. For information on how to do so, read the Tournament Roster and General Rules page. There you'll find guidelines for how the tournament is conducted and the all-important Honor System.
This page will be kept updated with the latest challenges available to players, and as events close the World Ranking will be mirrored here. To see the results of the 2010 tournament, click here. For 2011, click here.

Challenges in the Sims 3 2012 Tournament Season
Jan 2 - Jan 29 World Handyman Championships
The last couple renditions of handiness challenges have been team events with multiple Sims. This time you’re focusing on one Sim. The scoring is also changed to add new elements of strategy to your home time and vacation time. Put down the hammer here.
Jan 2 - Feb 26 Career Caps and New Digs
There’s been a House Hunter’s Challenge and there have been many career types of challenges, but I’m combining the two concepts in this event — you can move into any house you want, BUT you can only do so after you hit the cap in a career (rabbit-hole or self-employed) or profession. The player who wins will be the one whose sum total of all house values is the greatest. Check out the ruleset and put your career into high gear.
Feb 27 - Mar 25 The Trophy Room - The Most Rewarding Sims Challenge Yet
This Mini Challenge is all about acquiring as many different types of placeable rewards you can have your Sims get their pixelated hands on — Skill Certificates, Career Rewards, Service Rewards, and Lifetime Happiness Rewards. Ultimately, you'll put all of these objects in a Trophy Room and if you end up with the most objects, you'll get the best trophy of all, the Championship!
Feb 27 - Apr 22 Sunset Valley: Attack of the Clones!
Start with 4 Sims and by the end you are to own all businesses, buy all properties, and have all your Sims (created via Clone Vouchers) occupy all residential lots in Sunset Valley. Sound impossible to do in a reasonable amount of time? You may be surprised. Click your heels three times, and say "There's no place like clone."
