In the "Ambitions First Impressions" thread, Pam mentions some users getting Ambitions early. For those users who got it early, how did you do it?

It is my understanding that those users that got Ambitions early were individuals that did pre-order and just happened to get very lucky to receive it before the release date. Personally I am kicking myself for not pre-ordering it. Oh well, I am very happy for those that did get it early.

Yes that is correct. I had preordered mine in the beginning of April and was shocked that it came when it did. So yes it was due to a preorder!

Maybe that's what happened! I pre-ordered it, but not til May 20! So others pre-ordered it before me and got theirs early! Does that make sense?

I pre-ordered mine very early (I believe the first part of April), but I won't get it until tomorrow at the earliest. Probably Tuesday, which puts it exactly on the release date. Drat!

Uh-Oh! Now it doesn't make any sense! I'm keeping my fingers crossed that even though it's Memorial Day, UPS runs at least to my door lol

For some people, it might be location: UPS started shipping my copy from Kentucky and it has to travel to Florida. If someone IN Kentucky ordered a copy, I would assume that they would have gotten it a lot sooner.

You are probably correct on that Branr. Mine was also shipped from Louisville, Kentucky and I am in Northwest Indiana so driving distance is about 4 hours or so and I got mine May 28th. So that makes total sense.

Mine also says it left from Louisville! If only I lived in KY!! Oh well, tomorrow isn't that far away I guess!

I am facing utter horror, my parents want to go out for the day and take me with them, our post gets here at 12pm!

I might miss the arrival of my game!

EDIT: Okay so Not Utter Horror just the Beach!

Anyway it's now 1pm, Postman came, Postman Left. Me Glaring at him as he left too. My Game has not been delivered! On it's release day! Now to the Beach to try and forget about it till tomorrow when it should come!

I didn't pre order my game and got it two days ago. I *thought* the U.S. release date was June 25. I went to Best Buy and they had it. I beleive EB Games has it now as well.

Where did I get June 25 from? must have been some old news. Anyways, glad I got it when I did.
