Congrats Wildredchild!  We'll get a leader board going and post your scores.

Poor Metro!  How many kids did you have before you tossed in the towel?

I have a full house.  One child and 5 toddlers.  All girls!  I added a room to the house and that wiped out the bank account.  It's complete chaos.

My woman got pregnant after one Try for Baby, and then I simply thought hard about what was to come to do well in this challenge and I quit. I'm embarrassed, believe me for not sticking with it. Maybe it's just that I have 3 girls of my own and I don't want all the juggling and hectic life of doing that in a simulation. Oh, well.  :)

Hehe.  You didn't even let her have the baby?  You should give it another go.  After all, I'm playing *your* challenges.  And you might find out something interesting or funny about the game.

Well, now can't have anymore until the eldest gets kicked out, triplets, twins and a single, wow, what a bunch, I think she has a couple of money trees and if it hadn't been for the garden, they would really be broke, it has been fun, think will try the Asylum challenge after this, no kids, lol.

I'm kind of stuck waiting now too.   I have 3 teens 2 kids and 1 toddler right now.  I have finally had enough money to bed a better bathroom-  I am using the stalls!

I have 6 boys the poor parents both want a girl.  I am trying to grow lots of watermelon for the next group!

Metro's posts literally had me roflol! :D  Sorry man, just couldn't help it.  I definitely know my limitations and one set of twins for a couple in one of my games is for sure my limit.  :P

There's just no way I would try this challenge...I want to continue playing sims without shuddering.  :D

:D Well, good. I'm glad some humor came out of that post. You have no idea how hard it was to post that! I've never proclaimed to be the brightest bulb in the room, but that was insane. No one likes to look like an idiot. If I had just taken 5 minutes to really sit back and think about what was involved I would have never even jumped in. Crazy.  ;D

Mine are all teenagers now.  Six girls.  It's easier for the parents because teenagers don't need any real care, but the house is chaos!  Mom cooks two meals a day and then just lets them have at it.  It's really not difficult at this stage (for those you who are scared of baby Sims, heh) because the teenagers can be left completely on their own.  No need to really have them accomplish any wishes because they're just going to leave the house when they turn Young Adult.  No need to monitor homework for the same reason.  There's really nothing at stake except getting them grown.

I really wish Metro and any others would give this a real shot.  Would it help if I beg?

Alright, Pam. I'm always keen on a woman begging me to do anything. Usually I only hear, "Would you PLEASE clean our bathroom?" So, I'll throw my name back in the hat. First, I want to see if PJ tops me in Renaissance. It's not looking very good for me in that one. So, I'll probably redo that challenge to see if any improvement can be made and then I'll be off to make some babies.

That's awesome, Saltypaws!  I've added your score to the leaderboard on the first page.

I'm really having a blast with this one.  When it came time to kick out the first kid, I was a little worried because I wouldn't be able to get them a house or anything.  I thought she would be roaming the streets or something.  But no!  She walked to a vacant house and just took it over.  Lol.  Next were the triplets and they each did the same thing.  One of them got a really nice two story house that's miles nicer than the house she grew up in.  And...  the oldest is married and has a baby!  I think that's just really cool and I'm glad to see some story progression with my characters.

Mom Debby (I changed her name because Donny and Marie was a little creepy) has had her first boy and is now pregnant again.  Hoping for another set of triplets.  They aren't wealthy, but money isn't strained anymore and they can buy some upgrades here and there.

In this picture:  Dad Donny, teenage May, and Mom Debby on the couch playing video game.  Teenage June and baby July behind them watching.

I'm done!  Debby had a total of 12 kids!!  Can you believe that??  I actually got all of the months of the year as names.  Rofl!

Two singletons, one girl and one boy.
Two sets of twins, four girls.
Two sets of triplets, three girls and three boys.
All together:  8 girls and 4 boys.

At the time Debby aged up to Elderly (the day after Donny), she had 6 Young Adults, 4 Toddlers, and 2 Infants.  My score is below:

Young Adults:  6 x 1600 = 9600
Toddlers:  4 x 200 = 800
Infants:  2 x 100 = 200

Total Score:  10,600

In this picture, World Renowned Surgeon father freaks out as his wife goes into labor with their 11th and 12th children.  That just makes me laugh.

Good job and I thought I was doing good with 10 kids, lol.  I know what you mean, it was pretty neat when they started getting money so I could give them more upgrades, but those bathroom stalls came in pretty handy.  The triplets moved out together and moved into that big house that has the stream running through it, big screen tv and the works.  I didn't want to take the chance on changing households, so not sure it they even have any money.  Now that I am done, going to go see what they are up to.  Not sure if I want to continue that household with the babies or not.  I am skeered, lol.  Good for you and now onto the asylum challenge.  Yay!

Well, I made good on my reconsideration of this challenge and dove back in tonight. I recreated Gordon and Greta Carbonara. They wasted no time Woo Hooing and Greta was promptly impregnated minutes after they entered their new home. 3 days later baby Gandolf popped out. My first Sims 3 baby! C'mon, now, everyone say Awwww, Metro.  :D

Now the fun begins.

With her great score, Pam has also provided a log of her experiences with this challenge. I just published her baby boomer challenge walkthrough at http://www.carls-sims-3-guide.com/challenges/babyboomer.php

Thanks a lot Pam, and totally awesome score.

It's just perfect how the last kid's name was December.

After Greta and Gordon walked in the door after returning from the hospital with baby Gandolf I paused the game and built the nursery, plus added a few extras in the room — toy box. etc. But, having 0 experience with Sims 3 pregnancies before I had it in my mind that Gordon would need to skip work and go to the hospital with Greta for the big moment. Makes sense, right? Big mistake. Since he's got the Workaholic trait his performance bar nearly hit rock bottom. So, he's got at least two full days ahead of him of perfect work to get a raise. But, aside from that — things are going pretty well. Greta received the Fertility Treatment award and Gordon did as well. So, they took advantage of that and promptly did their best impersonation of a pair of rabbits and the lullaby music was heard. Hopefully I won't run out of money when I need to buy multiple cribs.

------

EDIT: Triplet boys just arrived on Week 2, Day 1. Gandolf turned into a Toddler the day before. So, the growing Carbonara family instantly doubled in size with the addition of Gordon Jr, Gregory, and Gerhardt. If I don't kill myself first I may give Pam a run for first place.

Awwwwww...WTG Metro.  :D

We think you'll find that having babies isn't as scary as it used to be...having multiples at ONCE is a different story...good luck!  :)
