testingcheatsenabled true and then delete the child (click or shift-click, I'm not sure which).

Immediately follow up with testingcheatsenabled false

Great, thanks for the quick response.  I wasn't sure how to delete someone using this cheat so I used moveobjects on and then switched it to moveobjects off right after.

Ah, I seem to have forgotten how hard it is to play The Sims without cheats!  :D

I'm around week 5 and all is well so far. All LTWs are completed, solid income, and positive moodlets.

Tommy Bombpops - Hit Movie Composer
Megan Bombpops - CEO of a Major Corporation
Sally Bombpops - Forensic Specialist-Dynamic DNA
Susan Bombpops - Become an Astronaut

I normally use mods when I'm not playing forum challenges. Playing without mods is a challenge in itself! :D

Please sign me up for this one, but I won't be starting it for a while. I've been taking an extended break from forum challenges while working on an apocalypse challenge. I'm only about halfway through House Hunters and I haven't started Crazy Eights yet. I've got a lot of catching up to do.

Had major issues with the game.  Maybe because I installed WA recently for this challenge?  I installed WA after ambitions. So i just uninstalled everything, installed i order and repatched in the process.

Had to give up the challenge in progress and hope I don't have those issues again, or I'll have to just play vanilla and ambitions since I ahd no problems then.  So am I out, or can I re-start?

Sorry to hear about the technical issues, John. Please be more specific about what happened in your challenge game.

Does it have to be exactly 100 vacation days or can it be less?

Not sure why you would want to go with less.

Well, you can't make up the difference and tack on more town days, so it's up to you if you don't want 100 vacation days.

Because the available options don't divide well into 100 - particularly if you take prepared traveller.

I planned to take all 4 on 1 15 day trip = 60 days plus have each of the couples take a romantic break to France = 2x 18 days. Which in total is only 96 days, so to get to exactly 100 I'd then have to take them either all on 1 token day somewhere or 1 sim take 4 days somewhere alone and remember to come home on time.  In a challenge this length, those 4 days are not going to make the difference for me. This is not my challenge, I'm joining in and having a laugh - I'm doing my best but I'm not exactly gunning for the top spot on this one. I'm staying true to the spirit of randomness and just going with it. I've even decorated the house randomly. But if I botch it up and stay on vacation too long I'd have to withdraw and that would suck.

Thats absolutely fine. I didn't expect to get more home days.

As usual, it's not the maths that's the problem, it's the 'human' element that introduces errors! Knowing what you have to do and doing it are two different things heh.

I know. Just teasin' ya.  ;) And for the record, I do want to win this one. :) No mercy on my Sims. I'm pile driving all of them straight into the ground. I'm running out of challenges. Skilling and money-making has always been my strengths, so this one and da Vinci I'm hoping to turn in good performances. Of course, I just put my neck on the block so we'll see.

I know you're just teasing ;)

This one is so long but I'm having such a better time since I upgraded to an SSD yesterday - it is soo smooth, I think I wasted at least half a day whizzing around the map going 'weeee'. I'd been chugging soo bad before, it was the collectors challenge that finally made me bite the bullet and upgrade - all that zooming in and out of the map looking for spawns - it was painful.

I'm looking forward to da Vinci - kinda bummed it got bumped for the Alphabetical lovers but I think my crazy eights experience should really help with that one - I know all the easy girls in town ;) Just got to work on the fellas

Ok, I have a question.

The game starts with 4 Sims, what if one of them dies while playing (ie:electrocution)?  I know the rules are "not to save during any unfortunate occurances and restart."   But it also must be played with 4 Sims to be valid.  I only ask cause my Sim, August, got electrocuted while fixing a stereo.   Luckily for me she had the unlucky trait and the Grim Reaper didn't take her (and they call it unlucky?)

So I finally found a use for the "unlucky" trait!

But seriously.. what happens if a Sim dies? do we have to go through the chore of resurrecting them via: opportunity or ambrosia?  or is it just game over *insert Pacman game over music here*

:)

No, it's not game over at all. You just continue with your 3 remaining Sims. There's nothing in the rules stating that you have to play 4 Sims for your game to be valid. What you can't do is add more to your household.

100 town days plus 100 travel days... I had no idea how long this was really going to be until I was already sucked in. Hopefully I'll do better than the House Hunter challenge since this doesn't really involve strategy. I wish myself luck.  :D
