100 town days plus 100 travel days... I had no idea how long this was really going to be until I was already sucked in.

It's a very long time. I was looking at the Perfectly Happy results just to get a ballpark estimate of happiness totals and despite the fact that you can't pick traits in this one, I'm thinking the best players will score higher than the best results in Perfectly Happy because of the added vacation time. We'll see. It's going to take some dedicated playing for anyone to knock this one out.

I keep forgetting about my travel time!  and 100 days is a really long time, I'm on week 7 and I was sure I was almost done!

;D

Yeah, I'm kind of wishing there was less vacation time for this challenge, 100 vacation days is a ton.  I'm most likely not going to take advantage of it just because I hate traveling unless I have a reason to.

This is most certainly a long one.  Almost daunting.  I'm still gonna go for it though!   ;D

Agreed. I hope a decent number of players finish this to make it worthwhile because it is a heck of a lot of time to invest. If I revisit this idea next year I'll more than likely make it 50 town/50 vacation.

That's a good idea. I don't really like the longer challenges, and I also don't like traveling. But I'm definitely taking advantage of the travel days since it's a great opportunity to rack up happiness points. Unfortunately I'm still not even half way through my town days and just started my first vacation.  :o

Ha ha. Well, you're farther along than yours truly.  ;D  I'm taking this one really slow.

I agree that this challenge is very long.  Especially with four sims to manage, it takes me a lot of time to get through a single day.  However, it is a lot of fun.  With all the traits there are in the game, we are all essentially playing different games.  I think this sort of random challenge could be an annual event, possibly including whatever new features come out in future expansion packs.  But a little shorter next time, please!

Now that I'm thinking about it, do we HAVE to use all that vacation time?  Or can we finish the challenge by using up all the "at home" time and using whatever vacation we like (as long as it doesn't exceed 100 days)?  Because I'm thinking I really don't want to spend that much time on vacation.  lol

One other idea to shorten it, keep it at 100 days played, but shorten the vacation time.

I believe Metro already said that it didn't matter how much vacation time we took as long as it didn't exceed 100 days. So I would think that you can take whatever you would like up to 100 days. I am sure Metro will clarify this again but I believe that is what has been said.

This has already come up before. Aria, if you absolutely do not want to play the full amount of time be it town time or vacation time, that is totally your choice. You would only be hurting your own score by choosing to do that, and as long as you understand that your posted score is final, I have no problem with that.

Ditto!  Though it seemed like I played endlessly for days... I'm still not half way yet.  I'm just glad we have until August to finish!

I totally expect that I will have to post my score before reaching either 100 town or 100 vacation days. I am only just in week 2 and will not be able to play the next three weeks because I will go to the shore with my daughters and will not have a computer with me. But the challenge is fun and I really enjoy what I have played so far. :D

I'm around week 7 with half my vacation days used. I can't believe I'm only half way done! But I'm excited to see how everyone finishes and how many people actually make it. I predict there will be plenty of people dropping before it's over. We just gotta hang in there...!  ;)

Count me in please! It's my birthday...guess what I got for my birthday? Ambitions, of course. So, this challenge is the perfect introduction to Ambitions. We shall see how I do with these new career choices going into this challenge cold turkey.
