@Nora:  That's funny!  My game generated your middle two for me, too!  They had different traits, though.  That file got trashed after the patch and I had to start over, so they all look different now.

Interesting! There must be a stock that the game goes through when you add more sims. Did you randomize to get either of them?

Hoping not to get too off topic...

CAS will often generate a sim already in the (oh, what's the term) panel containing the existing sims.  Sorry, I have no idea what to call it.  It's in the bottom left corner, the place where you can access your saved sims, above the undo and redo buttons.  Often times when I go into CAS, the sim I want to use will pop up "randomly" because I have her saved and she's in the already-created pool.  It's looks only, the traits won't be the same as the ones originally saved.  So I don't find it too surprising that some of our sims' appearances would be the same when we let the game create them for us.

Here is what I got for sims. Definitely some oddities...

Alec Wheelwright Age: 8 days
Traits: Disciplined, Neurotic, Loser, Schmoozer, Born Salesman LTW: Physical Perfection

Aliza Eberta Age: 0 days
Traits:Adventurous, Natural Cook, Handy, Heavy Sleeper, Coward LTW: The Culinary Librarian

Astra Thana Age: 1 day
Traits: Disciplined, Mooch, Grumpy, Heavy Sleeper, Lucky LTW: Martial Arts Master

Willard Nassor Age: 10 days
Traits: Unflirty, Neurotic, Ecofriendly, Heavy Sleeper, Frugal LTW: Swimming in Cash

By my count there are: two Neurotics, two Disciplined, and THREE HEAVY SLEEPERS?! Couldn't have three Ambitious sims?  ::)

I noticed that too, I know what you mean.  I saw the ones that came up with this challenge when I was making my sim for the other challenge, the romantic one.  I thought, they look familiar.

Unfortunately, my four sims for this challenge were pretty normal, no neurotic, no insane etc.,  all pretty normal stuff.  Darn.  The only one that I don't use very often is the snob trait, that was it.  The clothes were even normal, except the one girl that has a cowboy hat on and those fingerless gloves, she looks pretty funny in the doctors uniform though.  They are a pretty cool bunch, so it is ok.

I played for 2 sim weeks until my game got the fatal Error 16. There is no .legacy file, so I have no idea how to get it back! I guess I'll have to start over, unless anyone has a fix?

Use "save as" instead of the regular save to avoid error 16.

Yeah, that's fine. Just use the same 4 Sims that will be in your Library.

*waves hand in the air* Please sign me up. This can't be any harder than raising the teen, child and triplets my sim couple had.

I tried that multiple times, but every time I would still get a bad save. Will be starting over with the same four.

Did you look and see if your backup file was labeled .bad  If it is remove it and it should work.  That's what I had to do.

I tried that too but with no luck. I'll have to keep multiple saves this time around.

Edit: I was looking around the saves, and none of them have the neighborhood NHD or package file. I know I went into Edit Town to try and switch families to circumvent the error - perhaps that's what broke it.

Metro already said this is ok, but I wanted to share with everyone what happened.

I had an accidental pregnancy.  Either it came from WooHoo or I mistakenly selected Try For Baby.  I was so careful about it, but I still ended up with a pregnant Wishmaster.  My solution was to ignore all of the wishes for that pregnancy and then delete the baby after it was born.  Metro said I did good.  :)

What Pam chose to not tell everyone is that her Crazy Eights Sim, Elvis Presley — aka the Father to all living creatures in her neighborhood — made a miraculous appearance in this challenge!  :D   ;D

Well, no.  Elvis didn't appear in this game.  I know there's a joke there somewhere, Metro, but I'm not getting it.

Heh heh. That's okay. :) I know you mentioned how many kids Elvis had fathered to me before, so him making a "surprise" appearance in this challenge actually caused the pregnancy. Obviously, he did not make a surprise appearance, and obviously right now I'll go sit in the corner and reread my humor 101 book.  :)

I just played 5 weeks and 4 sims days of my Random Wishmaster family and they were all very close to their lifetime wish, even 1 had completed theirs and so I decided to take them to China, what happens? I get to China, the time is going, no family is showing up, no wishes etc. so stupid me, saved over my game thinking if I exited the game, and reentered it'd be fixed, and now when I enter its asking me to move them into China!

So upset at the moment! Have to restart all over again =[

So how close is anyone to finishing?  I'm on week nine with 30 days traveling done.

 :)

Not played for a couple of days, but last time I looked I was on week 8 and have used up 55 days of travelling. Thought I might get bored playing them once they all reached their LTW's but thanks to the insane one and the evil one (and the fact that the evil one hates all but one of her housemates) it's still pretty entertaining! lol

I have to say that this is a lot harder than I thought it would be.  I usually have a plan for my sims and don't fulfill some of their wishes if it doesn't fit into what I think their life should be like.  Unlike my boyfriend who none of his sims have jobs, uses the money cheats and only does their wishes lol
