Oh my gosh, is this challenge ever going to end, lol.  I think I am only on week 7, good grief.  I am whittling away and only a few weeks to go. ;D

I spent a bunch of hours yesterday, but it maybe for naught.  One of my guys died.  I have continued playing hoping he can come back as a ghost, but no such luck so far.  This is the first time I have had some one die while they were inventing.  He was 8 on his invention skills and 8 on handiness.  He caught a fire, put himself out in the shower, then fainted and just died.  He died week 4, but I have continued.

I am at Week 6, Day  4.My scores now are:  No 1 62,208, No 2 Dead 17,800, No 3, 49,700, No. 4, 86, 706.  Grand total:  216, 414.

Yolanda, sorry to hear about the unfortunate death. :( Thanks for trucking on and sticking with it. You're a trooper. Make sure to keep that 17,800 points of your dead Sim somewhere safe, so you can reference it when you post your final score.

Almost done with this one...after a marathon session of playing Sims yesterday (can anyone say a 12 hour binge?) I am finally on week 12 with 91 vacation days out of the way.  As this is my first challenge, I am hoping the others aren't this long!  I think after it's over, I'll lock all of these Sims in a room and set fire to it, I'm that sick of them!

Sorry.  Had to vent.

Ha ha. Yeah, I hear ya'. I didn't quite go to that extreme and break out the flamethrower, but I had no remorse about vaporizing the file shortly after I posted my results.

I kinda love my Wishmasters. I got a pretty good, easy bunch, although I wish Artistic or Athletic or Handy was somewhere in the mix; I like those traits a lot. I'm on Week 8, and used around 50 days of vacation, so I have a long ways to go.  ;D This is my first challenge too, but I like how it involves little planning compared to Crazy Eights or Romantic Interests to the Letter, which I thought I might try but then kept on smacking my head on the laptop when practicing.  :-\

The others do not seem as long. I'm signing up for the Grim challenge, which should only be two Sim weeks, so by the looks of how you play, you should get that challenge done in a day? xD I'm figuring I'd get it done in a day or two the way I play, haha.

I can assure you, none of the other challenges are nearly as long as this. In fact there is one coming up soon that is only a couple weeks so we can all look forward to that  :)

I was also extremely excited to immediately delete my family. By the time it was over I was looking at my sims and I couldn't find even one that I still liked. They had their chance to drive me absolutely crazy in that challenge.

It's definately a case of "Are we there yet?" to which the answer is "No, now sit down and stop whining" Think I'm on about week 9 with just a couple of vacation days left. I'll be glad to get rid of this bunch come the end.

Grr. My first WA glitch:

One of my Wishmaster's legs is stuck between the supposed flat ground and the actual stone surface outside the Temple of Heaven in China. Whenever that type of stuff happens outside challenges, I would simply moveobjects on and get the guy out of there. Problem is 1) Is cheating to get my guy moving again allowed? And 2) can't do moveobjects on a Sim outside of build/buy modes... and there are no build/buy modes on vacation. Are there any other cheats to fix this?

He has about two days left on vacation, and while his siblings are still roaming around, I wouldn't want Chad to spend the rest of his time stuck in marble.  :(

@BlueJay:  I'm going to speak for Metro since he's sleeping right now.  You may reset that Sim and still be legal with the challenge.  Click here for instructions.

Pam, thank you for stepping in. @BlueJay, when glitches like this happen you can definitely use cheats to remedy the situation as long as you just give a shout out to me in the thread and let me know what's going on in your game. Let us know if resetting the Sim fixed your issue.

I am plugging along.  Some of my friends can't understand why I play.  It's the surprises.

I am right with you there.  I was off yesterday and today and have played almost non stop on this challenge.  I thought I was really making headway and looked, 8 weeks 2 days.  Snails pace, I say. lol

I've been really busy with summer classes lately. Fortunately, today is my last day of summer classes and I was almost 2 weeks before Fall classes start! wohoo. But I'm with you guys, I feel like I'm really getting somewhere and I look and it's like omggg it's barely moved lol!
I'm hoping to be playing sims non-stop in those 2 weeks and get this challenge done :)

I know that it is late, but please add me.  I will try to get it done in time.
And also, when I finish, do I just post my score on here?  Is that all I have to do?

Welcome to the forums. I added you to the leaderboard, and yes, just post your results right here.

It's all fixed! I've never reseted before, so I was a bit worried, but everything is good! Thanks so much.

I'm on Week.. 10 with about 3 or 4 vacation days left. xD This is going to be long.

I've also never reset before and I would like to just ask a quick question if that's okay.
When you reset a sim do they just pop back up in the house with all the same points, levels, moods, inventory, and everything? Or does it do anything else to the sim besides move it?

@Sushi:  It will reset the needs bars, but that's all.  All moodlets, wishes, inventory, etc. stay the same.

I know it's very, very late, but I just got The Sims 3 for my birthday tonight.
I'm a newbie. Can you please add me to the leaderboard? And once I've finished
the challenge, do I just post my reults here?
Thankyou!! ;) :D

Metro, can you please remove me form the leaderboard. I just simply couldn't cope with 200 days with 4 sims.

Ha ha. :) You bet. I apologize to everyone on how much of a grind this turned out to be. It's just one of those "hindsight is always 20/20" moments. If I do schedule a similar event in 2011, you've got my word that hometime/vacation time will each be cut in half.
