My little group of misfits is waiting on their lot.  I don't have a picture, but they are:

1.  Jane Austen:  Neurotic, Bookworm, Eco-Friendly, Snob, Heavy Sleeper.  "I want a washing machine.  I want a dryer.  Where are my mirrors?"

2.  Cookie:  Unlucky, Natural Cook, Frugal, Schmoozer, Friendly.  "I don't need much.  But where is the stove?"

3.  Harold:  Hates the Outdoors, Neat, Handy, Photographer's Eye, Artistic.  "What do you mean, I have to stand around outside until Friday?  I need walls and a roof!"

4.  Ludwig:  Insane, Absent-Minded, Unlucky, Virtuoso, Never Nude.  He's the only one not complaining - he's over in the corner talking to himself.

Oh, this is going to be fun!

I'm thinking I might want to do this....? But what does a high freewill do exactly?

High free will lets your Sims do things without you directing them. The opposite would be no free will and they don't do anything at all unless you give the command.

Oh wow....That's weird!! Whenever I play this game I get really neurotic and I plan out all the things they have to do. For example: I have them sleep...when they wake up take a shower eat, watch tv, clean the house, etc. There are times when my queue is full. But I guess I could try that. :)

Ok, count me in. :)

Also with the lifetime rewards, could I use them? Like for example if I wanted steel bladder, could I spend my points?

You still get to control your Sims when free will is on high, but they can still do things on their own.  With it turned off, they'll just stand there until you give them a command.

As for buying Happiness Rewards in this challenge, the restrictions are listed in the rules on the first page of this thread.  :)

My town will be in Twinbrook

1. Bella Cullen: Easily Impressed, Good, Great Kisser, Hot-Headed, Light Sleeper. LTW: Forensic Specialist: Dynamic DNA Profiler. Food: Dim Sum; Music: Pop; Color: Spiceberry

2. Jacob Black: Grumpy, Heavy Sleeper, Lucky, Photographer's Eye, Slob (I hope I end up with a Neat Sim!) LTW: Jack of All Trades. Food: Key Lime Pie; Music: Latin; Color: Irish Green

3. Charlie Swan: Good, Lucky, Mooch, Virtuoso, Workaholic. LTW: Renaissance Sim (I've never tried this one before so I thought I'd try it out) Food: Spaghetti; Music: French Color: White

4. Leah Clearwater: Angler, Athletic, Computer Whiz, Evil, Perceptive. LTW: Pervasive Private Eye. Food: Goopy Carbonara; Music: Kids; Color Red

This is going to be very interesting w/out a Neat Sim or a Natural Cook

I am considering doing so when I get home from work tonight. Until now i did not know the lots are really supposed to be in the towns since they never show up in mine unless I place them manually. I will let you know if reinstall will fix the problem.
I found the problem before reinstalling. What I normally do in all but the challenge games is go into edit town right at the start of game, before i create or choose the sim(s) to play. This seems to block the placement of the new community lots. With my latest game I first chose the household to play and did not go into Edit Town until i had started playing, and the community lots are right there, unlike the games I tried before. I am not impressed with the placement (they seem to have placed most lots back to front in Riverview), but at least the lots are there :) .

I'm taking this on a trial run and came up with a question - once we've randomized them and started playing, can we edit their clothes & hair?  I know its all random but I look and can't find my Sims cause they just look like NPC's.  (except for one who looks identical to Amanda23a's Leah Clearwater!)

Also I know we can't go into Edit Town but Twinbrooks library has no skill books..... don't suppose I could add just one skill book shelf?  :)

No. No changes at all.

Yeah, I'll make an exception for that. That's clearly a bug given SV and RV libraries always have skill books. I'll make the edit.

thanks Metropolis Man!

another question- this challenge is all about the Lifetime Happiness Points - can we spend them on anything or the challenge based on unused points?

sorry if they are dumb questions - just want to get it right!

:)

No questions are dumb and better you ask now for clarification than make a slip up later. The 4 scores are based on all happiness points acquired. Hover your mouse over the treasure chest in the happiness points tab and you'll see that the total is points spent and points unspent for everything that has been acquired.

Actually, the new towns don't spawn the lots, you get a choice of where to place them in your new town or is that what is happening in other peoples games.  I get to choose where I want to put my new stores in mine, just checking.

When I wrote this I had not been in a new town as of yet, so now I know what people are talking about, when you start a new town, the game automatically places the buildings, in your old games when you go back into them after you install ambitions, you get to place them yourself, wonder why.  They place the buildings in the weirdest places.  Sorry to get off topic, but just commenting on what was being talked about.

When you had originally posted the blurb for the challenge I thougtht you were going to add an additional rule that you must fill up your wishes with the first available wishes and that you would not be able to delete them. For the truly random experience. :)

Heh. Yeah, that thought had crossed my mind. But, I think most of us will be going crazy trying to fulfill whatever wishes spawn anyway given the scoring mechanism.
