hehe Good luck, Metro-man!

Every time I've tried getting anything on release day I've been either too late, or they didn't get enough. That's why I usually just pre-order.

I'm sure plenty of folks will post pretty pictures, so I'll be okay until I get my copy! :D

Heh, yeah, we'll see. I'm pretty sure my local Best Buy had Ambitions on release day which is when I picked up that expansion. If they don't have FL today, no big deal. My 10-year-old daughter is completely addicted to making mix CDs from our iTunes library of over 5000 songs, so I need to get more blank CDs anyway.  :D

Fast Lane is pretty neat, couple new haircut and clothing options for both genders, 8 new cars and 2 new motorcycles (street bike at last!), and some misc. seating, decor, and lighting objects.  Metro there's definitely some Manly rides!  Here's my DaVinci guy Hans VonArtenstien cruising the night away in his new F1 racer :)

Yeah, I can almost guarantee you that today's patch is already on Fast Lane. I'm off to Best Buy to see if it's in yet. I want my Dynasty family members to cruise around SV in some Manly new wheels!

Hahaha, Manly new wheels with a capital M. :P This accessoires pack must be made for you. :P

I can always count on Target to have these new releases the day they come out.  Fast lane is looking good so far.  I have a family that has a ton of money, so think I will buy then the new cars.  Have fun.

Welcome to the forum gerrr00. I haven't see you around here before.
That picture looks very funny. Like gnomes really will cross the road. :P
I still haven't see the game in stores in my country yet. Weird.

Has anyone had trouble registering Fast Lane?  When I go to the EA online register page, The Sims 3 Fast Lane isn't on the list of games I can register.

I can only guess they have yet to update the website and someone is in a lot of trouble for not doing it already xD

I'm also having trouble getting my Store items reinstalled.  I can download them from the Store, install them through the launcher.  But that's where it stops.  When I actually open the game, my purchased items aren't there!  I uninstalled Fast Lane, reinstalled it, and nothing.  I uninstalled/reinstalled Fast Lane and Ambitions.  Still nothing.  I've written to EA about this problem.  In the meantime, anyone have any suggestions or me?

Sheesh. Here we go again. Didn't this same problem happen to you (and many others) after you installed Ambitions?

Are you on a mac or a real computer?  :D

Have you tried install through the game...dl dashboard thing?

It's not really a problem with the game, but the launcher so you shouldn't have to uninstall/reinstall anything unless you play modded.

Even though I know you're joking this is not funny at all. There are quite a few Mac users on this forum—me being one of them. Please edit your post and remove that comment. Thank you.

Just got back from shopping where I picked up a copy. Got it in JB HiFi (for you aussies) but their in store price was $10 more than the online price. Thing is, if I bought it online I would have to pay postage which probably would have been close to the $10 plus have to wait.
Anyway, it's installed and registered on the main site and I'm just about to dive in and take a look.  ;D

I registered it from the sims website.  On the top under the heading "My Page" click on "My Account".  Once on that page you can click on the third option which is register game.  I was able to do it successfully.  Or that is what it said to me at least after I put in my serial code.

Ooh! Ooh! Ooh! Sold!

But seriously, will these items be available to buy individually at the Sims Store? I'd rather just buy the sign.

I am not sure.  Has anything from HELS gone to the store?  I don't remember what I got in that stuff pack but I don't think it has gone to the store.

Also I wish the sign came with a pole.  It is like a painting, it has to go on the wall.  I would love to put my gnome crossing sign in my veggie gardens.

gerrr00,

I've not seen anything from High-End Loft Stuff go on sale in the Store individually.

I can't say for sure, but I seriously doubt EA will ever offer content they sell as part of a Stuff Pack in the Store. From EA's point of view, it defeats the purpose of even shipping (or offering) Stuff Packs.

And I guess (I've not looked), but aren't the Stuff Packs available as digital downloads at the EA Store? For the folks who want to skip the whole process of buying and keeping the physical CD?

Ha, they've brought back the splines  ;D  ;D
We have followed the spines from when they were reticulated in the Sim City loading screen and then when they were included in the Sims loading screen, then Sims 2 and I'm sure they were in the intro screen of Sims 3, but not once HELS came out. Just loaded up Fast Lane again and there they are.. adjusting (I think it was) splines. Wonder how many other people missed them lol

I bought mine with leftover birthday money. I do love it. Especially the old style truck.  :D I also love the rug, but why dose it have to be the most expensive?  :'( I cant buy it on my 'I'm being Honest' family. I guess I have to make another one and follow one of the styles.

If you don't mind using the "moveobjects on" cheat, a post could be placed in the garden then the sign "attached" to it.

I keep forgetting about that.  I have only recently starting using cheats, well "moveobjects", thats about it. I think I will have to do that.  Now I have to start a family and get lots of gnomes and hope they congregate near the sign! Thank you for reminding me of that.
