correlate scientific data?

i'm enjoying the science skill, but my sims often get wishes to 'correlate scietific data' and i can't find any option to do that anywhere. can someone fill me in please?

If you read Carl's guide to the Science skill, you'll see that this is an option you get halfway through the science skill.  In order to do it, you need to click on the science building  to find the option.   It's based on the amount of samples you've done recently or something but I haven't figured out the trick yet.
