I'm fiending (as my brother's ex-gf would say, so he'd say it too) to find out how you guys are getting these scores. I'm almost two-thirds of the way done and though they have made what I thought was decent money so far, when I look at the leaderboard I'm resigned to being in the bottom again. Oh well, maybe things will pick up when I get to the last section.

After the Random Challenge, I'm just so tickled I can change my Sims' clothes and hair whenever I want in this one, though.   ;D

Yeah, to be honest, Largo's score took me by surprise. That's why I needed him to satisfy my curiosity and spill the beans as to what he did. I was completely satisfied with his PM. In fact, he did two key different approaches than I did and it was very smart.

That's really cool. It'll be great to read about all the different types of approaches high scorers took. Even if the end of the Challenge (officially) still seems so frustratingly far away!

No, you're okay. As long as he only makes money from the 3 da Vinci skills, you're fine.

No. There's no career restrictions for the da Vinci Sim. Only skill/income restrictions.

Well, that's true, and obviously the income restriction takes priority. I'm assuming DeNile was asking if for example, a self-employed painter could still be registered as a sculptor at the courthouse. Something like that.

(This is why I can't bear to uninstall Ambitions even though it's preventing me from digging up excavation sites, but with this challenge banning travel, I don't think that's a problem. ^_^) The problem is having to tend needs - I seriously suck at letting needs be filled normally and cheat to keep needs static. I will practice this week on another slot and then, if I can wean off of the magic mailbox to max motives, I will join in.  :D

Is our cooking Sim allowed to get any skills in inventing if nothing invented by them is sold or if they only read the inventing skill book and don't invent anything? I know the rules say they can't but I want to clarify that you mean they can't at all or just can't bring in money that way? Hope that last part makes sense.
