Just finished with 1,164,668 on the account. Had a good timing too because 15 min after I wrapped it up and started playing a bit with the couple  - hey, they were there and they were loaded with cash - I got smacked on the head by code 16, immediately followed by code 12. I think my game figured out I really started to hate my DaVinci couple a.k.a. Dumas-Clarke household (after Alexandre Dumas and Arthur C. Clarke).

Most important lesson learned? Sims 3 has some serious hiccups. I'm patched to my eyeballs but apparently I attract bugs like crazy. The black hole called consignment store, empty slots in family inventory, opportunities with zero simoleans, code 16, 12, etc. I never noticed it so much before because I usually dump my sims after the second generation maxes skills, jobs and some random hobby I punish them with.

I think i squeezed max out of it though.:P Hats off to all the people finishing in 2 mil+ range. Congrats to everyone playing this challenge & I'm really looking forward to reading all the tips.

There's just about two and a half days left in this event, so don't forget to post your final results by Sunday night.

Good luck to everyone finishing up.

Oh dear, I will not be finishing this one.  This week was my school's Homecoming week, and I forgot how busy those can be with float construction and all.  So, Metro, can you take me off the list, please?

If I have to finish by midnight here on the east coast, then I'm done. Due to a save glitch, I lost 4 days. Oh, well. Anyway, this is from Week 11, Day 4, 2:24 AM:  $674,901.

If I had until midnight Pacific time, I could've added to that a bit. Hope I'm not ineligible because I ran out of time!

Edit: Weird! It looks like I posted right after twelve, but it was 11:57 PM!

I really wanted to finish this challenge, but sadly I just didn't have the time. It didn't help that my PC was out of action for a week!
O well - Metro please take me off the list  :(

This event is officially closed.

Congratulations to Largo the Stampede for winning. And my thanks, as always, to all participants. I'll be updating the World Ranking later today based on the da Vinci results.

I didn't get to finish this one either which I was annoyed about as I was having fun with this one, silly me didn't check the forums and had the wrong finish date in my head, so I thought I had another 6 days.
I might finish it anyway just to see what I would be able to score.
We could learn a lot from crayons:
Some are sharp, some are pretty,
Some are dull, some have weird names,
And all are different colors....but
They all exist very nicely in the same box.
