Since the Grim Reaper Challenge went quicker than i had expected, i would like to try this challenge, too. Just one question so I get this right: Does the da Vinci sim have to sell all their own creations, or can the cooking sim sell paintings etc. that their housemate created, too?

So let me see if i understand this correctly: The cooking sim can earn money by going to work (culinary career only), doing cooking skill opportunities and culinary career opportunities, and by selling the paintings/sculptures/inventions the other sim has made at the consignment store.

Time constraints do not apply to selling items, only to performing the da Vinci skills. So, you can sell items whenever.

I finished this challenge and I have already turned in my scores.  I kept playing.  My da Vinci created a time machine and he and his wife went into the past to try for a baby.  A girl named Sasha wearing cave woman clothes pops out of the machine a day or two after.  That was interesting so they tried again and this time a young adult pops out wearing Middle age clothes.  No going through all the baby, toddler, child routine for this couple. 

I have had couple of people invent and make time machines, but this was the first time children arrived.  Interesting.

As a response to the Sculpting opportunity glitches where you receive 0 simoleons. It seems as though randomly the opportunities do not give out the cash reward that they promise. I have an opportunity not payout when I distinctly remember getting payment on the same opportunity with other sims. It is very random whether or not the opportunities for sculpting will work. I do not think that keeping track of the ones that don't work will be beneficial because you will likely include every one of them in your list eventually. So far in my challenge I have been very fortunate that they worked.

I may not have gone where I intended to go, but I think I have ended up where I needed to be.

My couple, Paolo and Isabelle Fettuccine, finished with a grand total of $1,172,335.

Those high scores at the top of the leaderboard are fantastic! I'm not sure I could have squeezed out another dime, so seriously great job! I'll look forward to reading some of the strategy when the challenge ends.

Well I finally wrapped this up.  $651,717.

I too am looking forward to learning some strategies since I evidently did not do extremely well.  I had never played with inventing or sculpting before so that isnt too surprising.

I learned alot and had a bit of fun so it was well worth the efforts.  ;D  Now on to see what that old Grim Reaper is up to.
