Death Flower and the Mummies' Curse
« on: July 29, 2010, 02:57:31 AM »
So of course this has to happen to my Collector Challenge girl...

She was exploring Egypt for an adventure, and a mummy popped out. It attacked her, and the first time one of my Sims fights a mummy she gets cursed. Great.

Now, if I let her "die", will the Death Flower she collected from the Graveyard still save her? I know it works on old age, and the guide says it cures all forms of death, but I never tried it out on the Mummy's Curse, and it does seem it could be a bit... different. I really don't want to waste time trying to kiss a snake.  But I like the girl, even if she's totally not going to do great in the challenge.  :-\

You can go the soulpeace chamber in the Sphinx to cure her.  You have to pray to the soulpeace statue and that will cure her I believe.  I have never had to do that, so don't know exactly what you have to do to get her cured that way.  Here is a link, http://www.carls-sims-3-guide.com/worldadventures/mummies.php , to find out all the details on getting her cured.  Good luck!

What rotten luck!  I can't say for sure that the Death Flower will spare her from death because I haven't tested it personally.  But I don't see why it wouldn't.  When Grim comes and your Sim has a Death Flower, she whips it out and gives it to Grim and he spares her.

It's also true what Wildredchild said about the soulpeace cure.  You have to go all through the tomb in the Sphinx to get to it, but it's supposed to cure the Mummy's Curse.  It will take a bit of time.  You can probably get the snake kiss within a day or two of steady snake charming.  You have to get good with the initial snake and then upgrade to the Cobra.  When you get good with the Cobra, you can get the kiss.

I just cured one of my Legacy sims via the Soulpeace statue - it took about 1 1/2 sim days for her to do it, so about the same time as the snake-charming, only slightly more interesting! Plus, you get some nice graphics of shiny sphinx eyes...

As upper people said, you can do that soul chamber thing, but also you can use lifetime reward item, 'moodlet manager'

For a quick, simple cure.

I had no idea the "Moodlet Manager" could pull that off!

But for my money, it's worth the "Sphinx cures the Curse" experience just for the snazzy graphics and mood benefit!
