July 2010 Building Contest Results!
« on: July 31, 2010, 05:35:26 PM »
Wow!  I'm amazed by all the amazing new houses in Sunset Valley!  I had no idea that I'd be able to afford anything even half as nice!  It was REALLY hard to choose between all of them, but there are three that really stand out.

The first one I liked was built by LenaLJ and listed with Demarco Building Company.  I loved the floorplan of this house, and the way the rooms had such a nice open feeling and interesting shapes.  The color of the interior was very soothing, with lots of flowers.  It felt very comfortable, and had all the essencials.  And let's not forget the pretty brick exterior with charming pathways and landscaping!

Name: Natural modern Starter
Lot size: 30x20
Price: 15.009 $

Store items: None

And then there was the house built by Caliban, offered by Mysterious Island Realty.  I love the modern roof-line of this house, and how the floorplan branches out in three ways with so many windows to make the most of the view.  The landscaping was low maintenance, but very attractive.  So lovely!

3. Lot size: 20x30
4. Store: None, Base Game only
Cost :16,417

But the house that I ended up choosing is really the perfect house for me!  It was built and listed with TommyT Real-a-T.  This house really had the WOW factor for me!  I loved the use of natural materials, with the rock pathways outside, and wood paneling on the inside.  The huge windows, and modern roof lines were outstanding!  Plus it included a lot of useful features that some of the other homes didn't have, such as a laundry room, book case, and even a TV!  This house really will make starting out my new life easier, and very stylish to boot!  Ahhh, it feels like home...

Congratulations Tom.

@Aria — I love how your Sim made comments on some of her favorite choices. It just continued the whole story and theme. Really nice touch. Great job running your first of many events.

Dear Sarah,
I am so bummed out that you got to buy my favorite house before I could put a down payment on it!  Just joking!    I know you will enjoy it as much as I would have.  Ok if I come visit you and just enjoy the ambience?

Tommy T Real-T is one of the best in town.  I'm sure he'll have one ready for me in no time.  He is such an awesome architect and his firm is very reliable.

Congratulations to all three.

I also liked how the results were presented here - Sarah looks so happy in her new home  :D
