You might want to look up the word "spelt", there is no such word, the correct pronunciation is "spelled".  Just thought I would throw that in there, since you have been making corrections. ;D

From Webster's dictionary:  Spelt - past of Spell.  As recommended, you might want to look it up.

I concur.  'Spelt' is the more common spelling in the UK.  Considering we all speak the same language, there certainly are a lot of differences.  I'm from the UK but lived in California for a time, and at school I was once graded down for writing the word 'whilst'.

I stand corrected, but it is not a frequently used word.  I used that word in school and thought my teacher was going to have a fit when I said it.  It does not even sound correct. ;D   So we move on.

The difference between British, Canadian, 'American', Australian or any other variant is absolutely nothing compared to how far you can push mutual intelligibility. The Scandinavian languages are far enough away from eachother that most words are either spelled "wrongly" or used completely incorrectly altogether, but still we have the ability to push some sort of understanding between us with relative ease for being different languages. I think that just one word here and there are overestimated differences which shouldn't be counted as wrong by anyone speaking English.

That being said, this has little to do with the guide as Salty said. Please get back on track. :)

I'll get on that last batch later this evening. Don't scour the guide with a fine toothed comb, some of these pages only see a few visits a day and I doubt people are really turned off by a small typo here and there. I get them in the newspaper every day. The primary goal of this board is to fact-check, so that I'm not feeding glaring misinformation.

Ok I'm sorry. The next time I come across a mistake, I'll keep it to myself.

And my sincerest apologies for assuming that 'en route' was incorrect.
