Hey, Solstice. Haven't heard from you in a while. You've obviously been busy cracking the whip on your three sisters!  :D Wow. 118!!! That's quite amazing. Great score.

Plus, because of you, I'm now so interested in creating and playing a Guitar Star sim that I'm just dying to do but can't because of all the above in the queue before it !!
Lol, sorry if that was a bit much, I had a lot to say after not being able to post for so long. ;D
First of all, welcome back! I know what it feels like to be without internet and sims for a long period of time! Second of all, can't you just X out of all the queue and do what you want?  ;D I really wish life was that simple!

I'm all done. It was weird because my first practise run was so much better than my other one and the real thing. I had so much good luck. Anyway, here go my scores:

I got 11 skills maxed so 11 x 100 = 1100
I got 19 skill points otherwise so 19 x 5 = 95
I got 13 skill challenges so 13 x 0.25 = 3.25, plus the starting point = 4.25

1195 x 4.25 = 5078.75, rounded off is 5079.

And funnily enough, the brothers Aristotle, Plato and Socrates Athens all died on the same day. Just hours apart.

That is odd. I think that's a first for this event. Good job finishing up.

This seems like a good break from the Da Vinci challenge, in which my main-income Sim has just died in the middle of the expected challenge duration (yikes).  Sign me up!  I have a question about the one of the writing skill challenges, though -- I dunno what it's called now, but it's writing 5 or more books in a certain genre.  Can you count this over and over again with the different genres, or only once/for one?

Welcome to the forums. You would just count that challenge once.

Woohoo! Done at last!
13 maxed skills:  100 x 13 = 1300
zero skill level points
39 skill challenges completed:  0.25 x 39 = 9.75
grim's multiplier:  1 + 9.75 = 10.75
final score:  1300 x 10.75 = 13975

Well, I think I did pretty well without ambitions, but it would have helped! I might have to get it for myself for my birthday next week...

Metro -

I saw this mentioned somewhere on the first couple of pages, by ClayMask, I think? A test game I just launched had an elder who was 6 days older than the other two :o With an average time of only a couple weeks... that would be a major disadvantage if that happened with the final game...  :-\

Was there a consensus reached on what to do if that were the case?

EDIT: I only have the base game, and I'm assuming that's why buydebug doesn't work... I know that's not going to enable me to post a competitive score, but it also means the Death Flower trick can't happen... is it alright if I just keep close tabs on the progress and post it that way?

No consensus is really needed. You just need to play the cards that you're dealt.

Yes, that's fine. You should be able to harvest a death flower from the Graveyard. But, that's only one.

I think buydebug is part of the base game with all of the updates installed.  Or is it really only part of World Adventures?

Buydebug was a cheat that was added with World Adventures.  There is a new cheat that is coming out with Late Night that I read about on one of the many pages of information our loyal readers have been supplying us with.

It was added with World Adventures, but is it exclusive?  Did the base game get upgraded with buydebug?

Finished  :D and it's not a bad score given that I don't have Ambitions yet.

My score was: 12 maxed skills = 1200, 9 skill points = 45, 27 challenges complete = 6.75 (Grims' multiplier of 7.75)

Total: 1245 * 7.75 = 9649

That's an excellent score given you don't have Ambitions. Well done, Helen.

I've been busy and seem to have missed something - you say that the consignment and collecting stuff doesn't count toward the multiplier but to treat them as skills? What does that mean in terms of scoring? Or is it simply that only 1 sim can collect anything and 1 can sell at the consignment store?

No, the Collecting and Consignment Challenges DO count towards the multiplier...

IMPORTANT: Collecting and Consignment shop challenges DO count towards increasing your Grim's Multiplier, but treat these as bonafide skills. In other words, only one Elder can pursue these challenges.

That last sentence is a little poorly worded. What I mean is if your "Elder A" is pursuing the consignment challenges, then ONLY Elder A can pursue the consignment challenges. Elders B and C cannot be working on them too. Elder A could also do the Collecting Challenges or it could be Elder B doing the collecting challenges as long as A and C did not do those.
