Shift click your mailbox and select Make Needs Static. You’re allowed to use this cheat as little or as much as you see fit. But, remember — you can't reload your game if you forget to use it.

Will this say I can let it be on the whole time or do UI have to take it on and off on and off??

If you would never exit your game and do the challenge in one fell swoop, then Make Needs Static would always remain on. If you would completely exit the game, then you would need to set the cheat again the next time you'd play.

An other question - i had my sims meditate for 6 full days now - but her journal book only counts 60 hours. But i would mean that she should have 144 already - can i have her do the last six hours and then count the skill challenge as done??

Lena, if the Martial Arts skill journal works the same way as the Athletic one, you'd need to stop the activity before the stats are updated. So, if they're just meditating for 6 straight days, then you wouldn't know the total. Break the activity off for a second, then you should have the total in the skill journal when you start them again.

I think it stops counting the total for the meditating challenge at a point if you do it all at once.  If you break it up and meditate for two days or less at a time, it counts it all.

I broke the meditation a couple of times but didnt realise that the number just didnt increase. And suddenly i looked at the time and thought omg you have already been sitting there 6 days but it only counted 70 hours - what is happening? Its only meditation time that dont want to count - athlectic strenght and cardio are counting fine.

Sounds like the Vizard of Vine Challenge for nectar making that does not register properly either. But, the easier thing with that one is you can be assured of doing the exact amount of work necessary by putting in the correct amount of grapes in the nectar maker's inventory to start with. When you're talking about exact amounts of time necessary, Lena, it's a little more of a gray area. But it still sounds glitched, so I'll trust you to put in the full amount of time necessary to take credit.

I'm done with this one. Glad I took it but I didn't have that much luck and not everything went as planned. :(
First sims lived 76-91 sim day, second managed 75-96 and last one was the marathon runner 74-100 simdays.

max skills 12
skill points 9+6+8+9 = 32
skill challenges 26 (and a few more in seconds behind the grim >:( )

anyway my result would than be:

12x100=1200
32x5=160
26x0,25=6,5

1360 x  7,5 = 10200

Hmm after rereading my post I find out that I countet 16 skills when there is only 15, so I checked and doublechecked on my notes and changed and correct result would be:

1315 x 7,5 = 9862,5
unfortunally under 10000
Now I feel like I would try it again :D

I'm clear on the 7.5, but please tell me how you came up with 1315 — lay out the skills and maxed skills.

I would like to join this challenge. It looks nice and short, so I should be able to finish it without neglecting my family (too much ;) ).

A couple of questions I came up with while testing:
  • If two of my sims end up with the same skill, may I choose which to count at the end of the challenge, or do I have to decide in advance which is the right one?
  • One of my sims lost her death flower to a cooking opportunity without me noticing for several days. Is there any way to prevent that?
  • My first test attempt was cut short on day 2 when one of the girls set fire to herself and expired before I noticed what was going on. Would that be the point to count her skill achievements (if any), or should I give her another death flower and let her live on until her natural death?

ik,
from the rules at the beginning:
Your 3 Elders must always pursue different skills from each other with no overlap. (Don't forget that Inventing raises Handiness and Martial Arts raises Athletic.)

This means that your elders have to work on different skills. For example, if elder one learns cooking, no one else can even get one skill point in cooking.

If someone dies for whatever reason, be it old age or accidental fire, then that is where you would take their score from.
When one of your Sims is visited by Grim, the Death Flower will prevent Grim from taking their soul. As soon as Grim leaves, pause the game and note all Skill stats for the Sim. Make another Sim active. Then Shift-Click the Sim (testingcheatsenabled true needs to be active) that was visited by Grim to delete it.

About losing the death flower to a cooking opportunity, I'm not sure of sorry.

Does this count for collecting and consignment, too? What happens if I have a sim out collecting and another one sweeps up a cockroach with his harvester, does this automatically disqualify me? And if my athletic sim dies before they have a chance to try out martial arts, then martial arts will have to go as a 0-skill since none of the others may learn it to avoid gaining athletics points?

Not sure about being disqualified for the cockroach thing (Metro will need to address that) but collecting is to be treated like any other skill even though you don't level up in it.
For the athletic/martial arts, that is correct that if the sim with athletic points dies before doing martial arts then nobody else could do martial arts because they would get athletic points too.

Just do your best to make sure there's no overlap, ik. If an accident happens, I'll understand and not disqualify you.

On the athletics — yes, if your athletic Sim died before having a chance to try out martial arts, then it's still locked out for the survivors.

I was lucky with my sims, all three lived pretty long (95, 98 and 102 days). They managed to get a total of 44 skill challenges and maxed all 15 skills ;D . I did not expect to get that many challenges, but was lucky with my last surviving sim who got two more challenges done that i did not think possible. Total score: 18,000 points
