Thanks, Chronic.  I have to admit, the news that we'll be able to control the animals in Pets interests me strangely.  Depending on how it actually works, I could certainly visualize a doggie dynasty.  Headed by a schipperke, of course!  ;)

Awesome! I loved it Schipp! Read it all the way through, and it's beautifully written!
Sometimes it feels like I've been here for a few minutes. I check a few threads, write a few posts, and three hours pass. When the fourth rolls by, I'm rubbing my eyes, threatening myself to get to bed. When the fifth hour gets here, I almost pull the plug from my computer. When the sixth hour rolls around, it's around 9PM. My feet are numb. At the seventh, I've been sitting at a thread for ten minutes, contemplating when to press refresh. At the eighth, I think about how wonderful it is to have such wonderful moderators. At the ninth, I remember it's a school night.

About 3 posts above me (namely, the one at the top of the page), you mentioned visualising a doggy dynasty. Now that Pets is out, could you possibly start another Dynasty with a Schip at every Generation? (Like, your founder is James. James adopts a little Schipperke to be his Generation in the Doggy Dynasty. James becomes immortal, while James dies.)

Funny that you should post here Seabody. I was about to start reading this dynasty for the first time.
That's a neat idea.

Thanks for reminding me of this, Seabody and Sportsfan.  You're right - it's time to start thinking about this idea.  I don't think I'll ever do another Immortal Dynasty.  I gave up on the second one I started because it wasn't holding my interest and because I couldn't face the excruciatingly long load times I had in this game near the end.  But I could definitely see some sort of story centring around dog breeding.  I've never played a legacy so maybe what I should do is look up the rules and think about how they might be adapted.  Yeah, that could be fun and give me something to keep me busy this winter.  :)

If you come up with something good, you could submit it as a Project.  That would probably be a big hit.

Just read this whole story today :) You're definitely making me want to start a dynasty myself, though I get bored too easily I think.
It's wonderful writing and you are masterful at telling a story! Great job!

Welcome to the forum, Rebecca, and thanks very much for taking the time to read this story and comment!

Yes, a Dynasty is definitely a long-term project.  But it's very rewarding too.  If you do decide to start a dynasty, you'll find a lot of support and encouragement from other players in the forum.  :)

All I can say is WOW. Great story and brilliant effort.

I have attempted this Dynasty a few times and I find that it is way harder than you think it would be so kudos to you on a job well done!

Cheers from me, too. What an undertaking. If I ever attempt this challenge myself (*gulp!*), you'll be among my inspirations. :)
