The only thing about Late Night I'm afraid of is that I accidentially count a Late Night moodlet.

I didn't say Late Night moodlets were banned, I'm saying you just need to make sure to adhere to the above rules I quoted.

Why not metro the challenge started long before latenight and the first score is already in, isnt that unfair if we use something the first person couldnt do?

But, trying to separate Late Night moodlets and other moodlets is really asking a lot of players. A lot of headache. I honestly don't know how much of a factor it will be, Lena because you can't add the Late Night buildings to a new town. So, for example, all of the nice new drink moodlets will not be available to a player in this event.

Unfortunately, this will always be an issue—expansions coming out during a challenge. I can't force players to not purchase an expansion and having them try and sift through what they think is new and old is too much to ask IMO.

Always pays off to check these boards often! I was feeling behind in my research (as in, I should have started it by now), and am really excited about a one week extension! :)

I'm having a spot of bother with this one, I made one of my sims a criminal and I've been having terrible problems with career progression (the xp bar not moving until work is 2/3rds over) and now she's stuck at work and I think she might die - I've changed her to 'take it easy' but the stress moodlet isn't going away and she's starving hungry and really tired.

Go ahead and use the ResetSim, Nancy.

I don't suppose there's a ResetBuilding... my grocery store just stopped working. I'm not having much luck at all with this one. I guess thats what I get for not finishing it before the expansion came out.

If the problem you're having is you can't sell items at the grocery store it might be because of special seeds in inventory (you probably already know that trick, but thought I'd throw that out there).

He couldn't interact with the grocery store at all - but you're right, he did have special seeds in his inventory and now he's planted them he's all better. I guess I usually go to the store before picking up the special seeds.

When the snapshot is taken do we have to count *all* positive moodlets - or can we skip one and not count it if we plan to get the same one with a higher value later one someone else?

Well, I would just write them all down for simplicity's sake and completeness. Then, if it gets cancelled out by another Sim, you just draw a line through your note on the previous one. But, do it however you want, as long as you don't count dupes.

Its a good job this one is a lot more relaxed and less time dependant than the other challenges we've had - things are going from bad to worse for me lol, one of my kids just drowned in the pool... I knew playing tag in the pool would end in tears.
Regarding scoring for him - I had him earmarked for the child stage but hadn't taken a snapshot yet - do I submit only 6 scores or can I replace (or resurect) him?

Yeah, you can resurrect him via the Science op (it's not against the rules), or adopt another I suppose, whichever you wish.

I'm hoping to resurrect him but I already dismissed the Op twice before the kid died - one was just the day before. If it doesn't show up soon, I'll have to make a new one heh. Either way the timing is inconvenient for what I had planned but its not a disaster.

Less than 10 days to go an only 1 score posted - did everyone else lose interest? Its a bit of an anti-climactic finale.
I'm mad busy with work but one way or another I'm going to get my score in on time - I've only got 1 of the 7 due to my son dying but I'm lining up 3 of the others to come in fairly quick sucession and then I'll just need to spawn some more children. Still no Oh My Ghost but I'm going to give it a few more days before I give up and replace the Son.

Nancy your not the only one working on this, but I'm busy too.
I will post a score for this one no matter what, even if it will be in the last minute.
But it is a bit sad to see so few scores :( maybe this challenge was to complicated for the normal player metro?

It kind of is, but I guess that's the way it goes. :) My own excuse is writing a bunch of Late Night articles for the Guide, then when those were done I spent a week catching up with my Dynasty, and then when that was done I was in the mood for something a little darker and started a Diablo II tournament!  :D Crazy. And the nail in the coffin was my family is leaving for Florida bright and early tomorrow morning for a week, so I just never got around to this one. There are only so many hours in the day.

This challenge is actually one of the more relaxed ones - if you're shooting for the win there's a lot of organisation needed but you really have a lot of time to play your family normally without even really thinking of it as a challenge. The only posted score is actually a pretty good one based on my calculations so may that's put people off? I'm going to work on mine some more this afternoon after I've taken care of some work stuff - pretty much writing off this week its been a disaster.

I agree - the one posted score does look pretty good. I've done my practice and have a spreadsheet all set up, but it's been tough finding time to start my actual challenge family and put my plan into action. We'll see how it goes with the holiday coming up. I'm determined to post a score no matter what, because it looks like there might be a chance for my first crack at the top ten in a challenge. lol. good luck to anyone else working on this one! :)

I am actually working on wrapping this one up.  I was hoping to get it done this weekend, but life sometimes gets in the way of playtime :D

I'm still working on this one. I've done some research, then gave up on my test family because I realized I'd gone about it all wrong. So now I'm just going for it and I'm going to try my best. Fingers crossed!

Well I finished this one.  My teen was not cooperative so I was a bit shy of what I planned but overall not bad.

Infant 35
Toddler 40
Child 150
Teen 95
Young Adult 350
Adult 280
Elder 420

Total 1370
