The Causebrook Legacy
« on: September 18, 2010, 04:14:56 AM »
This is my first attempt at a story of any kind so bear with me. Oh and its a legacy not a dynasty I am so not brave enough to tackle a Dynasty just yet.

So here goes

Meet Rachel

yes she does have her head in a bin

oh and she is blue. Unofficially she is blue with Green hair because I wanted to see how long I could keep that skin and hair colour in the family. But if you want you can tell yourself that she comes from the planet upsquilion 5b and is trying to take over sunset valley.

Anyway this is Rachel and She is here on the very lot in Sunset valley cause I made her um I mean she was sent down from the elders of, what was that name I made up again. Yeah upsquilion 5b to start a new race.
She is an Insane, family orientated, natural cook who enjoys Gardening and cleaning.

Her lifetime wish is to be a five star chef (I really want the special fridge)

so Rachel trawled the town until she met Leighton in the library. It was not love at first sight but he was a single male with a pulse.

so they met got married got pregnant yada yada. For some reason I didn't take pictures of these life changing events. For those who are interested in such details Leighton wore his underwear and Rachel wore an evening gown. I didn't change her into it she was wearing if post woohoo

Here is the new bride with her step son Sam

Teaching Sam to walk

I found a pregnant picture. The happy family still haven't bought a house leighton brought a measly 1200 simolians. I was not impressed 1200 and two mouths to feed pah.

Here are mum dad and new baby girl Stella. Stella as you can see has a slightly lighter hued skin colour to her mummy.

daddy doing a night feed

A toddler Stella with her mum and dad.

Rachel pregnant again Leighton has a lifetime wish to raise five children from babies to teenagers. So I thought we would get it out of the way before the house gets too crowded, and by house I mean patch of grass.

Introducing Evie who looks a lot like mummy

and here is Karina causebrook who looks a lot like daddy.

So that's it for now in my game the babies have just aged up to toddlers.

The twins have aged up into toddlers.

this is Karina she has her mums original hair colour and her dads eyes and skin colour. She loves the outdoors and is excitable.

This is Evie she has inherited her mums skin colour and her dads hair and eyes. She also loves the outdoors and is easily impressed. Which is a good job because right now she is living in a field.

The girls all seem to get along could be the shared love of the outdoors trait. On a personal note I think its cool that they all so diverse looking with regards to genetics.

Back to the story
Life goes on in the Causebrook house

Rachel has been going to the gym in order to lose some baby weight. Yes she is working out in her formal wear. Why? That's just how she rolls.

Sam is now a teenager and has his eye on Bella Batchalor. She visits most nights and they do their homework together. Young love how sweet.

Thought I had better start a new post so as not to go over the screen caps limit.

Just a quick update

Stella is now a child she has added insane to her love of the outdoors and athletic traits. The three girl all love the outdoors this is pure coincidence because i rolled for all the traits.

Big news we now have a house its not a great house but its home. Although I think my little family were quite happy living outdoors.

Random shot of Stella playing peek a boo with Evie just because I thought it was cute.

So what will happen to the Causebrooks will Leighton and Rachel have another child ? ( Leighton currently has a wish to have five total children, have a child with Rachel and have a child. This bloke seriously wants a kid.

Will Sam marry Bella or move out on his own?

Will I ever remember to take pictures of something interesting ?

Will Rachel ever get a promotion after being on maternity leave for most of her young adult life?

All these questions and more might be answered next time.

Those children are adorable, and I love seeing how the colors have come through randomly.

I think legacy in a way is harder than the dynasty, but I love them both.  I've managed to lose all my legacy people through multiple pc issues

Can hardly wait to hear the questions answered!  Oh, got one more for you:

Will her alien nature shine through as she tries to repopulate the world?
What?  Grannies can't play games?

Life continues in the Causebrook home

Rachel and Leighton have some alone time, outside next to the bin.

Hold on where is Leighton going to in such a hurry

oh, better give them some privacy

In other news

I think Bella is stalking Sam she shows up every night and stands outside until Sam gets back from work.

Evie has aged up she loves the outdoors is easily impressed and friendly

Karina loves the outdoors is easily impressed and excitable.

Besides the colour differences the twins are spookily alike.

Stella has also aged up she is Insane, evil, athletic and loves the outdoors.

Here is Stella after I made her over. It is surprisingly difficult to choose good make up colours to match her skin tone.

Yeah they are just about to age up into toddlers. I am looking forward to seeing what colour hair they have.  I am hoping that the unusual genetics can last at least two or three generations before dying out.

The four youngest members of the family have had birthdays

Evie who I personally think is very pretty you know for a blue Sim. It looks to me like she has shades of green in her hair, what do you all think?

Karina I think she is quite alien looking even though she is a "normal" colour

Lola who looks a lot like big sister Stella

Leila who has inherited her daddy's colouring. I think she has the green tint to her hair too.

The story is great, Rachel!  I love all the toddlers and all the mixed colors.  I have a Sim who has that brown-green hair.  I think it's a color generated by the game.

My Sim ate watermelon for the first pregnancy only. The only reason she ate watermelon the first time was because the family were poverty stricken and she was harvesting plants from the lot across the road from the legacy plot.

Life continues in the Causebrook house.

The three eldest girls enjoy some quality television time

Leila and Lola have a birthday. No more toddlers in the house sniffle.

Evie chats up some bloke in the park

Stella visits the gym to hunt down meat I mean men and finds old people and women

Karina decides to go fishing, yes fishing, after curfew and gets into trouble.

At the moment in my legacy my family just seem to eat, work, go to school,do homework and go to sleep. So here they all are sleeping.

I think Leighton is pleased that all the kids are finally at school

Stella obviously thinking of the lovely home she will have one day. Yeah not a chance love your staying with mum and dad.

Karina wants a holiday apparently

Leila wants to be outdoors

Cool Lola wants to play on the Sims or do Sims play Humans

Finally Evie wants to learn a new recipe this is not likely to happen the one and only time she attempted to cook we had a fire. We may let her back into the kitchen once Leighton finishes the upgrade to the oven.

In other news Stella had a birthday

She aged up into this

So we tried a girlie do, which did not suit her insane and evil side

We went funky it didn't work

We tried the cute cheerleader look that was a big no no

Little house on the prairie didn't really work either

Back to the short crop it just seems to suit her

Stella rolled a LTW ,about 4 days before aging up, to be an astronaut. So as soon as she could she joined the military.

Some members of the family work out together unfortunately Leighton doesn't appear to be following the exercise DVD properly.

Leila and Lola aged up into teenagers thereby fullfilling Leighton's lifetime wish to raise five children from babies to teens

Here is Leila

And Lola obviously

Evie and Karina aged up into young adults
Then we had a bit of an oops moment

Yes this is Evie being sick,

This is Evie announcing her pregnancy to her dad
I genuinely thought I had pressed the woohoo button when she invited her boyfriend over. So this came as a complete surprise to me.

So introducing our new heiress Evie Causebrook

A short update a lot has been happening but I forgot to take screen shots for most of it.

Karina and Stella moved out of the legacy house. Rachel has painted portraits of Stella, Karina and Evie. Sam painted portraits of Leighton and Rachel before he moved out so we are doing well with points there.

Evie delivered Saskia who to my disappointment was not blue.

Rachel aged up to elder and had a make over

Saskia aged up and inherited her dads black hair

So because I prefer my heirs and spares to grow up together and get the maternity leave out of the way all in one go, Evie got pregnant with baby number two. I also have a theory that it is more likely to have a baby with different colour skin if its twins or more. So with that in mind Evie got the fertility treatment and produced

Anastasia with mummy

Natasha with Grandpa Leighton, who also got a make over.

To my surprise they are both blue. A darker shade of blue then their mum or grandma. So bang goes my theory that one twin inherits skin colour from mum and the other from dad. Time will tell as to what colour hair they have.

I want the blue skin colour to pass on to as many generations as possible so it is most likely that either Anastasia or Natasha will become heiress. But I am also intrigued to see if skin colour could skip a generation and leave Saskia as heiress.

I didn't know anything about legacy rules, and your story is my first experience with it, and for now, it seems way too many babies :D
I'm also curious about genetic in game, and look forward to see more pictures of this beautiful and strange Sim girls!

I don't know what it is with all the girls my Sims have only eaten watermelon during one pregnancy. I prefer to leave the gender to chance so no doubt there will be a whole bunch of boys later on.
There has been a lot of babies but that is because I wanted to get the raise five children from babies to teens LTW out of the way before my legacy house got too full.

There has been four birthdays in the Causebrook house Leila and Lola aged up to young adult and Natasha and Anastasia aged up to toddlers.

Here is the lovely Lola who aged up looking exactly like this.

Leila who again looked exactly like this so I didn't see any reason to change anything.

Natasha who has inherited her mums hair colour and possibly her dads eye colour. I haven't had a close up look of her dad.

Anastasia who has her grandmothers original blond colouring

Are these twins both a darker shade of blue than your original Sim?  I looked back and it seems like they are.  I never would have thought they'd get darker.

This is Evie and eldest daughter Saskia

Anastasia with the blond hair Natasha with brown hair and Rachel in the chefs uniform. I love that both Rachel and Anastasia are pulling the exact same face. They share the insane trait so it might be that.

Anastasia,Natasha and Evie.

I do think Anastasia and Natasha are a different shade of blue to their mum and grandmother.

Finally an update.

Rachel passed on at the age of 96
Leighton passed at age 92 but I didn't get a screen shot of that.

Saskia left home and got married. Here is Danita one of her twin girls

This is Nikki. I think their ages were glitched, they aged up really quickly.

Anastasia married her high school sweetheart Antoine on a beach at sunset.

They had a daughter named Viola who as you can see is not blue.
So we tried again and got..

Paris

Milan

And Vienna

Viola as a toddler

Vienna

Milan

Paris. At first I was wondering where on earth Paris hair colour came from until I saw this

Anastasia has orange roots. I have never messed about with anybodies hair colouring.

In other news Leila has a son named stephen and Stella has a son named Jonah.

So we are on the fourth generation. I have found that the blue skin colour seems to pass on to multiples rather then one baby. Although Stella's baby boy is blue like her.
