The Cydonia Dynasty
« on: October 06, 2010, 10:58:33 AM »
Newly arrived in Sunset Valley from Cydonia, Harry knew that his bright green skin tone would make him stand out from the crowd, so what better way to take advantage of that than to try to become a Rock Star?! With that in mind, Harry took on the Sim traits of Party Animal, Friendly, Flirty, Virtuoso and Charasmatic, and discovered a liking for Pancakes, Black and Custom Music - after all, why wouldn't you want to listen to your own music? He also had to get himself some Sim clothes, and yes, those are real leather pants. He even sleeps and swims in variations of them! He is convinced that Formal Wear consists of the addition of a black leather jacket and suspenders hanging down. Having very little money, Harry had to take his bed where he could find it - in his case, under the stars. But like a true muso, he didn't care where he slept as long as he had his guitar.

Also like a true muso, Harry didn't always know where his next meal was coming from. One day it might be a picnic with friends, and the next a juice box on the only available 'chair'.

One morning when Harry was enjoying a breakfast of someone else's picnic basket, he was fortunate enough to meet Willow Hennessy!

Alright. Another Rock Star!  :D Did you choose Charismatic with the idea that Charisma will be a skill Harry will be pursuing? I'm assuming so, but am wondering if you realize how difficult it is to accomplish the Guitar Star Challenge when skills other than Guitar are thrown into the mix.

By the way, welcome to the forum.

Later that same evening he met Tamara Donner outside the theatre. Being a Party Animal, he didn't really need an excuse to throw a party, but felt that inviting Tamara to a Formal Wear shindig in Cental Park might be a good way to convince her to dump Cycl0n3 Sw0rd (especially if Cycl0n3 wasn't on the guest list). Needless to say the party was epic, and the rouse was successful.

The following night Harry went to bed still pondering ways to convince Tamara to come over past her bedtime. He was rudely awakened by a neighbour staring at the sky.

Unfortunately for Harry he was to discover the reason for this all too soon.

Harry begged, but to no avail. Sunset Valley has another resident ghost.

Thanks. I'd actually chosen it to help him make friends and throw parties, and then play around with it a bit more later for the Charisma skill (I'd seen the issues with the Guitar Star Challenge when I was checking up to see what skills were required for the Rock Star career).

Kinda moot now.   >:(

Oh, my gosh!  :'( That's gotta be one of the fastest Dynasties to crash and burn yet! Wow. Sorry about that. Yeah, don't get me started on meteors because the forum filters may have to kick in on me.  ::)

Get a roof over your head next time asap. That does help ward off the stupid aerial attacks.

Remember when I first started the one challenge, same thing, went downtown first thing and wham, got hit by a meteor, but yes, get a roof and keep an eye on the sky, so to speak.  At least it is at the beginning, that is the only consolation I can think of.
Is it true that cannibals don't eat clowns because they taste funny?

Was wondering if that would be the fastest. Week 2 Day 2 = squished by satellite. Kind of appropriate ending for a green man though.

I'm mostly annoyed cos I always play Sims the same way ... Green Thumb, Angler, Natural Cook, Love the Outdoor and something more random at the end, and run around trying to max all skills. Plus this is the first time I've had a Sim die of anything other than old age

I feel for ya. I enjoy going the outdoors method of playing myself and a meteor took out my museum items in an earlier attempt of mine. So, I've had to adapt and live indoors. I don't hate it, but just the whole meteor thing is a crackpot idea IMO. Hey, did I say don't get me started on meteors yet?

Hmmm,  considering an entirely new dynasty made up of Wyrd sisters, or perhaps Angua could make an appearance.  I LOVE TERRY PRATCHETT!  So,  are you starting a new dynasty?
What?  Grannies can't play games?

@Joria - Yep, and my SmurfSim just turned into a FeegleSim when I remembered about the bright red hair option ... I'd love to play as Nobby and Colon living in the same house but two men (well, one man and one presumed man) can't make an heir under the Dynasty rules. Another game perhaps.

@Metropolis Man - I just started reading your Dynasty, and completly understand your hatred of meteors.

I ran into a little problem with the Feegle plan. Tattoos are banned.

Plus they don't have any cows to steal.  ;D

Awww.  Well, you could do one from Tiffany Aching's point of view.  She did have some interesting times even without the WFM.
