Mountain Voyages - A Creamy Dynasty

Mountain Voyages

A Dynasty

This is unfortunately, my second attempt at a dynasty.
My last one was trashed by a meteorite, which deleted my game entirely.
So I’m starting a new one.

Meet Tintin á la Crémé.

Tintin á la Crémé

Tintin's story is one of tragedy and mystery.

This young man never knew his father, and woke up mysteriously in Sunset Valley one day in a bed.
From that moment forth, he knew he was destined for greatness. He knew, that he would have to live forever.
(According to an old Papyrus written by Caesar Metro himself).
So, where to start?
A spouse was what this great man needed.
But who, who would be able to fit such a man, a man of such glory and messy hair?
Who?
None other then River McIrish.
But that comes in later.
You may have guessed, but Tintin will be following a beautiful lifestyle of guitars (hopefully piano, drums and cello come Late Night), meditation, and cooking, lots of it.
His traits are: Virtuoso, Natural Chef, Disciplined, Hopeless Romantic, and Angler.
His lifetime wish is: Golden Tongue, Golden Fingertips.
And he’s hopefully going to be brining in the cash through the tips of his guitar in the park.
I decided to send him to the Fire station, where he is setting up temporary residence. But first, I of course bought him is very own guitar.
Laced out with rosy pink flowers, this guitar is super cool and way awesome.
No, I’m serious. I didn’t actually buy it for him, the truth is I sent him to the junkyard to look for any cheap furniture and I found a sooty old guitar, it was only $300 to restore, so I went ahead. And was stuck with a Barbie guitar. (Not that I have anything against Barbie)
Anyway, he headed down to Plaza, where he started strumming away. Nearby, hiding behind a newspaper sat a journalist-in-the-making, following in her mother’s footsteps, every body, it’s RIVER MCIRISH!
With her amazing grace and style, Tintin could not but help wonder…was she the one?
He put down his guitar, hiding it behind a rose bush, and walked up to her.

Tintin: Hi.
River: Hi.

In one of Tintin’s forms, Hergé mentioned in manuscripts that he was of a gentle nature, but often liked to get to the point, thus:

Tintin: Are you single?
River: Umm…Yeah.

What sweet music to the hero’s ears. So sweet in fact, that something most peculiar occurred.

His first flash back of his amazing heritage.

HIYA!

Then a voice spoke to Tintin:

“……she is right for you, oh grandson, propose to her, and the Purple Dragon will be on your side…….”

How does Tintin react? Find out in Chapter II, The Love of Rivers

Great start!  You have me intrigued.

Thanks, Joria.

I hope you keep reading.

Since Tintin was refereed to as the young Sherlock Holmes, I've decided to weave this mysterious story into it, while following the objective of the dynasty. It'll be challenging but fun, and it should hopefully pick up some pace. It's a new style of writing for me, and I'm glad to be able to try it with something I love. :)

Mountain Voyages

A Dynasty

I don't have any pictures for this one, yet. I'll have them in before I release the next chapter, because....well...there's some interesting things in there. Mainly because my flash won't work, but I don't know how I managed to get the guitar pic just from copying and pasting from Chapter I.
EDIT: I have photos! Like them? On the note of the pancake: It looks very unrealistic, I have to admit. It's come out kind of different in the photos for some reason, and whenever I take a picture that isn't close up the Pancake is enlarged, and vise-versa. BIZZARE! I have an idea for getting rid of it though.
Anyway,

So here it is.

Enjoy!

Chapter II,
The Love of Rivers
Part I

Shocked by this strange revelation, or maybe by the fact that there was a flying pancake next to River's head, (???)
Tintin froze, as did the rest of my computer. I held my breath, but the seizure stopped and the game resumed.
Phew.
Tintin, being the sly sleuth he was, charmed River up a bit. Then he laid on jokes about waking up in beds without a clue where he was, about makeshift households etc, until he finally laid it fully on River.

Smooch.

She threw him one of those: Wow, you're hot looks
Or maybe it was: Wow, I can't believe I just kissed someone who has such messy hair looks.
Whichever one it was, soon River was leaping into his arms.
There was no time to waste.

Tintin: Hey, River, will you umm…marry me?
River: You’ll have to pay me.
Tintin: I make good pancakes.
River: Then I’m in!

They had a lovely little private wedding, accompanied by the flying pancake, which married them with the final words.

As they walked home, holding hands a few loving words were shared between them:

River: You know Tintin, if I’m going to be seen with you, you’re going to have to change you’re appearance a bit.
Tintin: Well then you’ll have to get rid of that floating pancake. Is it a hair accessory?
River: You’re mad.
Tintin: I know.

River: I love you.
Tintin: I love you, too.
River: But we seriously have to fix your appearance.
Tintin: How?

River: Trust me, I know what I’m doing.

Tintin: Oh boy.

If you scroll through the posts, you can read that a meteorite shut down my game, and when I re-opened it, the JeffGuy Dynasty was gone. :(
I'm glad you thought it was interesting. I myself felt it was kind of dank. I wasn't really happy.

UPDATE: (on the Dynasty, not the actual story)
I won't be releasing my next chapter until 1. I've put photos up of Chapter II, and 2. When I know the date of something very important next week, and it's going to be a HEE-UGE update.

Schipperke, do you mean you can only see images from Chapter I?
Because if you can see the pictures in Chapter II, they've only just been uploaded, and Joria wanted pictures of the odd glitch of the flying pancakes next to River's head

It's a scant time for this Dynasty right now, folks.
My game's gone. Lost all data. Lost my dynasty.
I've mailed Metro, so...I'm holding my breath.

The only pictures I can see are on page 1.

I'm very sorry to hear of the problems in your Dynasty and hope it can be salvaged.  It seems this is a bad time for Dynasties just now.

There is probably...I'm going to hand it in sometime, see if I can track the data. But I think the game has reset-itself because it was in Tutorial mode, and if you look at The technical help, you can see the symptons of this strange epidemic.

The reason I said that was when I released Chapter II, it didn't have pictures, so I uploaded them yesterday.

Great pancakes! Wonder what's her favorite food ;D
If you have too much trouble with uploading pics try different upload web site, I use imageshake without any problem at all, and it doesn't even require registration.
Now that you put pics in Chapter II, I hope you'll continue this story, till the very end of the challenge. Good luck.

I found the problem, it was just a small bug that prevented me from upgrading my flash, but photobucket is working fine now, thanks for the advice, I'll keep it in mind for the future if there are any more problems. :)
There are some problems but I might have found a way but I need Metro's permission first. I still haven't heard back from him.

Mountain Voyages

A Dynasty

Well, this is a BIG mouthful, so get your slippers and mug of hot chocolate.
So, in the last chapter, Tintin courted and married River McIrish, now River á la Crémé.
Now: problem: River only brought $1200 in cash into the mix, so there's going to be some problems, do not ask me how I pulled off the house below *oh, sorry, spoiling it*
Anyway,

ENJOY!

(Please)
Chapter III
The Big Date

So, they arrived home, finally. Both pumped up in energy.
And...

Oh my god, Tintin, you say this is an appropriate area to bring up a family??? And the accommodation, what of the accommodation??? And where are the pancakes, hey, where are the flying pancakes???

Tintin: Well, maybe we can just stay at the Firestation for now!
River: Argghhhh.

So they headed to the Firestation and went to sleep...in desperate beds...uh oh.
But by morning, they were happy, and they headed back home to get to work.
Tintin laid down the laws carefully:
We must build a basic accommodation, with simple but providing furnishings and...
Woosh
What was that? Are you, okay, River?
Woosh
Oh my god, River, what have you done?

One there...

Some more there...

Some doors and windows...

A few grueling hours later, by night...BOOHYA!

And that is the cream of the Crémé

It's not much, but I have just a few ideas,  8).
Tintin had actually left early after River promised him she wouldn't go over the top - oh, boy - and when he came home, his economical temper sprung up.

River, you promised me! And how did you pay for this? How much cash do we have left?

Tintin, just calm down, honey, I pooled together some cash from my friends and some things I harvested and I also sold a car that I've owned for a while...

YOU SOLD OUR CAR??? ARE YOU CRAZY???

It brought in $4,800

You're a genius!

Chapter III
Part II

They woke up at the firestation next morning.

Tintin: So darling, what's going to happen today?
River: We're going to go to the house.
Tintin: Ok.

So they hopped in a taxi and made their way to the house. River looked around and was struck by an idea.

River: Tintin, could you do me a favor?
Tintin: Yeah, anything.
River: Go practice your lovely guitar skills, and leave me for a while. I need to do some remodeling.

Tintin quickly agreed and left for the small park opposite their residence. He started twanging and got a song going:
We will not fall...(twang)and we will protect our lives, we will protect our loves(biong)we will protest! We will protest! We will protest!(ziiing)we will prot-eeeeest!

Be quite! This is an outrage! We will protest!
The neighbours didn't seem to happy with Tintin's amazing talent.

Barbarians!

So he toddled off to Simhenge. Were he played to his heart's content.
But Tintin managed to get his music level to 3, which started sounding good.
So Tintin braved the streets again (probably because a rattlesnake being chased by a lama made him get away from Simhenge - since when do lamas chase rattlesnakes?) and he set up station in the park next to the fountain, a traditional place of mine.
He started playing and wo-ow! People cheered and were happy, all celebrating his music.

Woah! Cookies!
By four o'clock, he felt he should get home.
So he hopped in a taxi and got home fast, good news too, because Tintin got home, and he was suddenly afraid River had moved house against the rules, but then she saw her, in all her beauty and he was suddenly very happy to be home, and my, what a home it was!

Take a tour of the á la Crémé Chateau

Outside view of lot:

Shot of main house:

1st Floor Main House:

2nd Floor Main House:

Bathroom:

Outside Kitchen & Dining Area:

Pond:

Tintin: River, this is beautiful.
River: Thank you. But...could you do me a favour?
Tintin: Anything. As long as I don't have to play in the park again.
River: Please, fish by the pond. I want to paint you.
Tintin: Sure. What for?
River: Surprise.

So Tintin started his fishing skill, and River started painting.

Her first painting didn't turn out too well.

So I made sure she was in a good mood, and started her painting again.

Hopefully it will come out well...it looks a bit watterish. :) River is level 5 painting, level 4 cooking, and Tintin is level 1 cooking, level 2 fishing and level 3 guitar. 1, 2, 3.
Ah, what a long journey.
Stick around for a new update soon!

UPDATE IN A SHORT YET LONG VERSION

Well, the painting turned out okay. I'll use it.

River: I'm tired, shall we go rest?
Tintin: Yeah, lets.

So they headed upstairs with only a few problems that were quickly fixed.

And they cuddled for a while.

River: This is part of something bigger, right?
Tintin: *sighs* Yeah.
River: Ah well...2nd Generation?

Agreed. The bed filled with hearts and strange noises, and wind chimes at the doorway clinked as a breeze rustled through the park. They retired after that, quickly, as they were exhausted.

I'm working so hard. Next update coming soon.  :'(
