Introduction & Chapter I

Hello! This is my first legacy. By the way I love the site! It's a very useful resource. I also love hearing about Pam's Dreamweaver legacy so I thought I would try one out! But I am not going to attempt the Immortal challenge, yet.

Okay! Now that's out of the way. Meet Lucas Hugh Larson

His traits are Workaholic, ambitious, charismatic, schmoozer, and friendly. His lifetime wish is to be a CEO

Here is his humble home:

The sink was hidden behind the wall if you were wondering.

The first thing Lucas did was apply for a job at the Doo Peas Corporate Tower

Then he decided to walk around the town and meet some sims! He was walking to the pool when he saw Jamie Jolina.

He instantly had a wish to talk to her. So I let him

They spent hours talking away and became best friends. Eventually he proposed to her.

But that didn't go well...

So a few hours later he tried again, and it was a success! Note: I originally did not plan for him to marry Jamie, but she has a high position job at the medicine career.

After a long day, they finally went to bed. Tomorrow was the first day of work for Lucas and Jamie Larson.

Tell me what you think! I will post their next day soon!

Chapter II

The first day of work went good for Lucas and Jamie! Lucas almost got a promotion but he managed to befriend his boss. Jamie was in red for job performance, but she brought it back up to green. I found out Jamie had a car in her inventory, so selling that gave the Larsons' enough money to built a temporary house.

I also gave Jamie a quick makeover

Lucas has been working very hard. I bought him Office Hero and Entrepreneurial Mindset. He is able to get a promotion everyday now and will hopefully reach his lifetime wish by next week! When he is not holding meetings he is working on is practicing Charisma.

On Friday Lucas was at level four of the Business career and Jamie was level eight of the Medical career. Then Lucas found out Jamie is expecting a baby! Luckily they have the weekend off to prepare!

On Saturday the Larsons held an office party. Oddly Morgana Wolff showed up but Thornton didn't. I am very interested to see if Thornton and Morgana will stay together in this game.

After the party I found out Nancy Landgraab turned into a vampire!

Then on Sunday, Jamie...

Thanks for everyones replies above! Also, how do I resize the images?

Also, how do I resize the images?

One way of doing it is to go into the album on photobucket, and then click on the image you want to upload. Then click on resize on the toolbar above the image (it's the fourth one along from the left). Then save. I'm sure there are easier ways to do it, but I don't know them.

And I've decided to do the same thing and give the Legacy a go before another shot at the Dynasty.

During the party she was working/playing on my sims computer. You can see her in the image of the party. She wasn't a vampire yet in that picture

I know I can resize images via a photo editor. I was just wander if the bbcode for resizing images worked here. I haven't tested it yet but it is [img=height x width][/img]. Never mind, I tested that and no luck.

Chapter III

Lucas woke up and took Jamie to the hospital with Gregory! Gregory is a loner and artistic. He has his mothers skin tone.

When the Larsons arrived home. Lucas hired a butler. Out of some odd luck the butler's name was Greggory Matthews. At first he was kinda creepy. Greggory has been working non stop. He sleeps for 30 sim minutes then works. Although my sims do have a surplus of food.

A few days later Jamie aged up to adult. The family didn't hold a party because Lucas was working and holding meetings. For Jamie's birthday I gave her another quick makeover.

Lucas was finally promoted to CEO and beyond. I had to midlife crisis Jamie because I frequently found her flirting with Greggory. Jamie's new traits are family oriented, savvy sculptor, artistic, bookworm, and genius. Towards the end of the week Gregory aged up to toddler. Here he is with Greggory. Gregory and Greggory!

That is so strange! I will have to pay attention in my current game to make sure whether or not they stay together. I hate to ask for breakups and Morgana is so pretty. If I'm going to ask a female to leave her husband it is almost invariably Iliana Langerak since I think she is so much fun to play!

Chapter IV

Jamie has been working on sculpting, and she is pregnant again! Jamie wants a boy and Lucas wants a girl.

Jamie gave birth to a girl, Marilyn. I accidently exited out of the window to pick Marilyn's traits, so she is a blank page!

After I bought Marilyn, it was Gregory's birthday! Sadly Lucas and his son don't have much of a relationship, so the butler, Greggory helped Gregory blow out the candles.

When Gregory grew up I was a bit surprised that he was wearing his underwear  :o

Here is a more detailed snap shoot of Gregory.

After Gregory's first day of school he brought home Mercedes Landgraab. She might be a perfect wife for Gregory. My only fear is she will become a vampire.

The Larsons are working on a home renovation, but I ran out of money so it's kinda one third of the way built. I will post picture when I am done. The butler Greggory left, I am not sure where he went but he just kinda disappered. I tried hiring him back, but I keep getting different butlers everything. :(

If nothing else, you can use the midlife crisis reward in order to put them in. I've had this happen to me as well. Missing two traits might be a serious handicap later on in your legacy.

No, you won't get the chance when she ages up to child. They will still be blanked out, or at least that has been my experience. I'd go for the cheat or use the midlife crisis.

Why are you worried about having a vamp? I'm trying specifically to get one in my generation 1 so I can get a black sheep ;)

Becki, the rules say that vamps are banned from Dynasties, and then I remembered that Andrew is doing a Legacy. I'm pretty sure they're banned under those rules too.

As far as I know the Legacy Challenge hasn't been updated at all for any of the expansions. If it has, I haven't found the rules for it. I've been following the Sims 2 Legacy Challenge rules as best as possible because I felt like there's more dimension to them. Since vamps and other "occults" were allowed in the Sims 2 Legacy, I assume that they are for The Sims 3 as well. It never said anything about ghost babies, just resurrecting ghosts, for example.

Chapter V

Sorry I haven't posted in a little while, I am been busy. I recently bought some clothes via sims store so I decided to give my sims a polished makeover. I thought the Diva set would fit Jamie well.

Lucas.

There house isn't done yet but when it is done it will sorta resemble this:

The family has become quite recognized, they all are either a 2 or 3 star celebrity. Lucas has abundant amount of free time after purchasing hardly hungry and a few other rewards. He had a birthday party at the beach. So, he decided to learn the piano. Lucas has an odd work schedule. He holds meeting everyday, so he doesn't socialize with his kids much. Gregory has been trying to grab his fathers attention, so he became the family's writer. So far he has written several novels. Jamie decided to scrap sculpting and change her passion to painting. She achieved her lifetime wish of being a world renown surgeon, and quit to become a full-time painter. She is pregnant again and Lucas is hoping for a son. Marilyn aged up and child and Gregory aged up to teen.

Lucas aging up to adult, while being surrounded by his lady friends.

Gregory is going steady with Mercedes, hopefully his father will accept him if he keeps money in the family.

Marilyn as a child.

Pregnant Jamie painting in her 'interesting' maternity outfit

I would love to hear some name suggestions for the newest member of the Larson family!

For a boy I was thinking something German (Ralph, Conrad, or Kaspar) or something Latin (Quintinus, Augustus, Lucas, or even Nero) I was even considering William. I like your femina name suggestions. Thanks

Chapter VI

It's a boy! I decided to make him the crazy little brother so I named him Nero Thornton Larson. His traits are Neurotic and Insane. I am happy he inherited his fathers hair color, I was getting annoyed all the kids were blondes. I plan on making him a chess grandmaster. Here is a picture of him as a toddler. (I haven't modified his appearance, and don't plan to)

A day after Nero's birthday, Marilyn as aged up to a teen. She applied for a job at the movie studios. BTW I forgot to mention this in older posts but I had to cheat to give her traits :(. Her traits are Star Quality, Charismatic, excitable, and I forgot the last one. I already found her a potential spouse, Elton Keaton. Here is a picture of Marilyn as a teenager.

Jamie's birthday is only two days away and Lucas's is about 7 or 8. I don't think Lucas will every wish to retire. I think Gregory's birthday is in 6 also. I am interested to see what Lucas's is salary is by the time he dies. Currently it is about $500 an hour.

I will post pictures of their house next time!

Chapter VII, Nap first, Clean later.

When Lucas was eating dinner after a long day of work. He finally realized something.

Lucas: This place is a mess, do we even have a butler?

Lucas went upstairs to further investigate this lazy butler. He found piles of dirty laudrury and puddles everywhere. He finally found the butler, She was on her way to take a nap in the master bedroom.

Lucas was inraged he yelled and yelled at the butler.

Lucas: Do you even clean!?!?

Butler: Nap first, clean later.

Lucas: Your FIRED

After the butler left, Lucas called for a new butler. His name was Roderick Shoemaker!  :D And he actually cleans!

Here are the traits of all the Larson family

Lucas Hugh Larson: Workaholic, ambitious, charismatic, schmoozer, and friendly
Jamie Larson: Sculptor, artist, genius, family oriented, and party animal.
Gregory Larson; Coward, artist, heavy sleeper, and loner.
Marilyn Larson: Charismatic, star quality, party animal, and excitable.
Nero Thornton Larson: Neurotic, and insane.

I would love some feedback. I want to know if I should use dialect in my chapters, or just give updates!

I personal like a bit of dialogue but whatever you want to do is fine. I use a mixture of both in my updates. Some people write diaries and blogs to get the story across. In my personal opinion the Clan Dynasty is the best in terms of using different ways to tell the story. It has a bit of everything it is very well written.

Chapter VIII, not the dryer!

It was an average morning for the Larsons, until I was notified the repoman was coming. The family quickly hid the valuables and locked the gates. alas! It did no good. The repo woman arrived and snatched our laundry dryer, a small price to pay. This relieved the Larson's, the only problem was the press got a hold of their incident. The whole family, except little Nero, was publicly disgraced.

That night didn't well. Gregory was caught out after his curfew. He was bought home and his father was waiting for him. The lecture erupted into an argument, and the father and son became mortal enemies.

Next morning the kids skipped school and everyone went to city hall to sue! The family won the trial and walked out with +$6,000 in their pockets. Lucas decided it was time to invest his money. So for Nero's birthday he decided to buy him Doo Peas Corporate Tower, or should I say Larson Corporate Tower. Lucas desired Nero to be his heir, this angered Gregory. That night Nero was held a private family birthday. Nero had a good toddlerhood so he was chosen the Genius trait.

I must admit Nero is quite fun to have around the house. Here is a picture of him arguing with himself.

Chapter IX, Manhood and Elderhood

Jamie and Gregory Larson both had birthdays. Jamie is now an elder and Gregory enter into manhood. Sorry I forgot to take a picture of Jamie, but here is a picture of Gregory.

Mercedes Landgraab also aged up the same day as Gregory. Gregory invited Mercedes over and proposed. Mercedes isn't the most beautiful sim in the world, but she is the soul mate for Gregory. Mercedes traits are Coward, Disipled, Can't stand art, hates the outdoors, ambitious. Lucas wasn't too fond of Mercedes, so he built them a "house" in the basement. They shouldn't get too comfortable at the estate.

The day after the marriage, it was Lucas's birthday. The party was a blast, expect for Uncle Thornton. It must have been to much for him to handle  ;D

When Lucas blow out the candles something changed inside him. He had a "end-life crisis", he suddenly became a snobby party animal. Was it caused by his wealth and power?

Here is a picture of Lucas as a elder.

My attempt at a dynasty failed. Was founder was about to harvest life fruit, then a meteor came and destroyed the garden and killed his heir.  >:(

Anyways, I was looking at the Landgraabs family tree and I saw that Malcolm was dating Holly Alto! Then I was scrolling around and saw Holly, she really let herself go.

The Larson family had a large sum of money in the bank (about 120,000, from painting, scuplting, writing, and their jobs) So Lucas bought a club for his birthday, called The Lighthouse Club. It's exclusive to one star celebrities. Here are some pictures.

--------------

Chapter X, I'll get you, & your ugly pig too!

A few days later, it was Nero's and Marilyn's birthdays. Nero is a computer wiz and Marilyn is overemotional.

The family is very large and running out of space. So, Marilyn decided to talk to her father.

Marilyn: Father, the household is way too large.

Lucas: Daring, I am aware of that. What do you propose?

Marilyn: I am worry that pig (Mercedes) will steal our fortune. Nero is a more suitable heir, even if he is insane. I propose we lock Gregory and his pig wife out of the house. We could buy them a cheap house in town. Also, if we change their last names to Benz, the press wouldn't know. It could be a family secret. We would never see those two losers again!

Lucas: Hmm... what if someone recognizes them?

Marilyn: We buy them a day at the spa and hair salon. Also we could pay the stylists to dye their hair, and dress them in cheap tacky clothes.

Lucas: Are sure you don't have the evil trait?

Marilyn: I am pretty sure I don't.

Chapter XI, Operation Benz is active

The next morning Marilyn told Gregory and Mercedes "The family loves you so much, that we are buying you a spa and salon day! Also we have a surprise for you! We are going to move your bedroom out of the basement!" The couple was so happy to feel accepted. They rushed to the spa enjoyed every minute of it!

When Gregory and Mercedes arrived back at the house, they found a note attached to the gate. It read "Dear Gregory and Mercedes, or should I say Ronald and Mercedes Benz! I hoped you enjoyed your make over and start of a new life. We already bought you a house and got you jobs. All we wish is to never see you two again. If you tell anyone about our little secret, you will not live to see another day. Love, the Larsons PS XOXO Mom"

Ronald and Mercedes weren't able to accept the note and it's contents. The couple tried to open the gate, but they had no luck.

Goodbye Gregory and Mercedes Larson. Enjoy your new jobs (Journalist, and teacher), new house, and new life.

I think Mercedes etc. will be MUCH happier being out of that dreadful household full of mean people.

I guess... But that was still a mean way of getting them to leave.

I moved them out for two reasons. Space, and the fact that Mercedes was just a dread to have in the household. She would scare family members randomly! Mercedes always had terrible moodlets, and I frequently found her flirting with the butler. The Landgraabs didn't even like her! When Mercedes first joined the household she had a terrible relationship with her mother and brother.

mini-update: Ronald (Gregory) and Mercedes had a child, Diana Benz. I can't remember both of her traits, but one of them was Loves the Outdoors.

Sorry I could get a picture of Diana. Ronald and Mercedes won't let my sims in their house.  :(

Chapter XII, The Death Clock is Ticking

Lately I have been on a spouse search for Marilyn. There's not too many decent young adults around, until she meet Mortimer Goth. He was still a young adult and was grieving the lose of his elder love?

I befriended Mortimer and asked him to move in, I was interested to see if he had any other lovers. It turns out he did, but that relationship didn't last long.  Currently Marilyn is just friends with Mortimer, but soon they will take it to the next level.

Lucas has been preparing Nero for his future duties, as head of the household.

Nero doesn't go to school much. He's already mastered logic, and may start painting. He might make a good doctor one day. He did meet a potential spouse. I forgot her name, but 2/4 of her traits are slob and family oriented.

Jamie doesn't have much time left. She has been working like 13 hours a day on sculpting, she hopes to be widely remember in the household.

On a side note: Nero has been having strange wishes. Like "brush teeth 3 times" "Check something" or "Clean something". I am guessing it's the Neurotic trait giving him OCD?

Yup. That's common for Neurotic sims.

I love the way it's going.  Personally, I hate "slob" as a trait.  They constantly make messes all over.

Chapter XIII, A very depressing time.

It's very depressing when your sim is in their elderly years. All of their friends start dropping dead.

R.I.P. Jamie (Jolina) Larson, 96 days old.

Of course, Mortimer is thinking of this inheritance.

Chapter XIV, Death Wish.

The family was greatly affected by Jamie's death, especially Lucas. Lucas couldn't grasp reality, he missed Jamie, he could see living without her.

He knew she did have one final death wish. He must make up with his son, Gregory. Lucas knocked on the Benz door, and was let in. He apologized to his banished son and meet his grand-daughter.

Chapter XV, Marriage and Birthday.

Marilyn Goth and Mortimer Goth are now married (Sorry, I forgot to mention in earlier posts!). Mortimer quit his job in business and pursued a career in show business (Director). They are expecting a baby!

Nero has entered manhood and proposed to his high school friend, Amanda. They will hold a wedding at the beach, tomorrow.

Nero: Will you marry me?

Amanda: Why are you looking at the mermaid statue?

Nero: I'm insane?

Amanda: I know, and yes I will marry you!

Chapter XVI, Troubles, Deep Troubles.

Nero's wedding started out great, it was towards the end he realized there was a problem. His bride wasn't there! She didn't even come to the wedding at all. (Note: I invited her to the wedding!) Although, Nero did meet someone new, Betty.

At the party Marilyn noticed something. Diana Benz might have some DNA issues. She just might be a he. This worried Marilyn.

Nero left the party early and locked himself in his room. The next morning he called over Amanda, and ended it once and for all.

That day when Marilyn was wandering around the town she meet a new townie, John Larson?
