The Constellation Dynasty
« on: November 08, 2010, 05:41:54 PM »
I finally had to put my Colour Dynasty to rest.  I
just could not get a decent save and I have spent
too much time on trying to recover it and too
much time playing and then not being able to save
it.  Error 12 strikes again.  Oh well, I think I will try
something totally different this time and make this
dynasty first person like I did my Ming dynasty
story.  I think it makes for a more interesting read.

Chapter One:  The Move

Hi, my name is Aquila Constellation,  I know, I
know, before you make fun of my name, let me
enlighten you some.  My parents were what were
called, "moon children" of their era, I suppose.
They loved everything to do with the stars, the
moon, the sky, you name it.  They even had their
last name legally changed, to, you got it,
Constellation.  My first name is the name of a star
or something, I am not sure, I didn't take on their
enthusiasm about that stuff.  I do know, the kids in
school made fun of my name and I had to toughen
up to defend myself, but that is all behind me now,
which brings me to why I am here.  My parents
died tragically a few months ago and left me a
small amount of money and a lock box.  I just took
it and ran.  I did not want to stay in that town for
another day, so I ended up in this small town,
called Riverview.  I did manage to purchase some
property on Riverblossom Drive.  I have always
wanted something of my own, so now I have it,
just what to do with it is another story.  Here I am
in my new surroundings, allergies and all.  Guess I
need to find a store around here to fix that.

I got my allergy stuff and found a library.  I was
trying to read when a really large family came in
and I could not even concentrate.  Where is that
librarian when you need em.

I gave up reading and decided to go ahead and
find a job, seeing how that buying that property
almost left me broke.  I found a job in the business
profession and was really pleased, so now, lets
see if they have a listing for single men in this
town.  Hmmm, Jon Lesson, Billy Caspian.  Will
have to remember those names, but right now, I
think I will see if I can find someplace that serves my
favorite nectar and wind down some.

This place is real friendly and that bartender can
sure make the drinks and he is kinda cute.  I
thought to myself, I had better just concentrate on
getting some sleep and feeling refreshed for my
new job.  I was talking to the really cute bartender
and he said I could probably stay at the fire
station, hmm, firestation, firemen.......I wonder.
Oh good grief, I gotta get a grip here.  I left the
cute bartender and found the fire station, no men
though, and ate some soup and found a comfy
bed to sleep in.  I couldn't get my new job off my
brain and even dreamt about it and the cute
bartender.

The next time I post, I will fix the size of the pictures, not sure why the paragraphs are so short, I used the same thing as always, but will see what I can do.

A long time ago, I tried to download a sim from the exchange.  I didn't know at the time about cc and I guess this sim had the different hair, fingernail polish and something else, I can't remember.  Well, the sim did not go through, because of the mods, I guess, but I got to keep the fingernail polish.  So now it is in my accessories with the rings and gloves.  When I found out you have to have this and that to install cc, I didn't download anymore sims from that point on.  I really like using the polish though. :)

After work, I decided to go into town to see who I could find, I mean to see what was going on.  I was standing outside the bookstore listening to someone play the guitar and saw this good looking man walk out, so I introduced myself and he said his name was Billy Caspian, where does that name sound familiar, oh yeah, he was one of the names I found at the library.  We talked for quite a while and this hunky man was standing behind me, really distacting my thought process.

Oh well, I was hungry and decided to go home.  I had purchased a small bed and a couple of other comfort items for my lot, no roof yet, but I had better get some money somewhere, I heard Riverview was famous for meteors and they seemed take kindly to people without homes, good grief, just what I need.

I got home and decided to call Billy and chat some more, but when I looked in my address book, he was not there, that was strange, we were almost at the friend level.

NOTE:  Apparently it is one of those strange things, Billy must have moved out of town that very night and he was not at the  graveyard, so that takes care of that relationship, lol.

I happened to notice the neighbor across the street, so I thought, what the heck, I guess I will go make a pest of myself.  I found out his name was Jon Lesson and he lived here alone and he was rich and he was musician, oh my.  He is also very cute too.  So we talked for a while and then he just up and left, I guess work or something.

I decided to go ahead grab something to eat once he left.  Wow, what a gorgeous house, I wouldn't mind living here.  I decided to go home and finally see what was in that lock box.  What I found, I was not expecting in a million years.....

I had some time to kill, so I decided to finally see what was in my lock box my parents gave me.  When I opened it, I found a journal, not exactly what I expected, but, anyway, I started reading it and I could not believe what I was reading.  First there was a letter from my parents, "Dear Aquila, If you are reading this, then something happened to your father and me and we just wanted you to know, we love you very much and just wanted the best for you and your future.  In this journal, you will find out how you can become immortal and live forever.  It has been handed down through the generations.  You are probably asking why your father and me didn't start this quest.  We were stubborn and set in our ways and felt like we could rule the world.  That is why we handed this quest down to you and we really would like for you to follow the guidelines.  We love you with all of our being, our sweet child".

I continued reading the journal and had to really think about what I just read. Do I just ignore this dynasty thing or do I really want to live forever? Oh good grief, my parents are still running my life, even after death.  I thought about where I was and what I wanted and decided to go for it.  Hmmm, I think I need to talk to Jon and see how he really feels about me.  I called him up and he was really glad I called and said he would meet me at the park.  Yippee, off we go!

We met at the park and I took one look at him and that is all it took.  I was hooked, he was so handsome and he looked at me with such tenderness.  We talked for a long time and I finally got up the nerve to kiss him and then I saw fireworks.  This is it, do I dare?  My mind was racing, my palms were sweaty and my tongue was stuck to the roof of my mouth.  Here goes...

Oh   my    gosh......he said yes.  I could not believe my ears.  I was so happy right at this moment, I did not want it to end.  So heck, lets just get married right here and now...

I could not believe it.  I, of all people was married.  I was the one that said I would never get married, let alone have kids and now I was thinking of babies already.  So, now what, no money, no house, no nothing.  Jon said not to worry, he brought some money with him and an expensive car.  We would have plenty to start our little family with.  He said he loved me and he would never let anything happen to me, ever.

Things went pretty smooth and Jon had a small little house built.  I had always wanted to sculpt and he bought me a sculpting station.  He would practice his guitar and actually took up painting, which suprised me, so that will come in handy in the long run.  I have not said anything to him about the dynasty yet.  I guess I really should, but right now, things were going really well.  We were so in love.

Jon always gets after me for sculpting outside in my undies, but it is too hot for clothes.  It covers everything, they will get over it, hehe.  Guess we will have to build on so we can put this big thing indoors.

Jon left one afternoon and didn't tell me where he was going.  He was gone for a while and when he came home, I almost didn't recognize him.  He had got his hair cut and got some new clothes.  Oh My Gosh, he is even more handsome than ever.

He was taking a nap later, so as I was walking by the bed, I thought, hmmm, now is the time to try for a baby, wonder what he will do.....

Needless to say, that went well.  Sorry, there are just some things that are private. Jon asked, me "what was that music".  I figured I would just let him wonder.  The next day, we were going about our business, I was sculpting and got to the point that I could do ice sculpting...do I dare (looking around).....

OWWWW......Omg, that hurt.  Well that was stupid, I won't do that again. Good grief. I felt kinda funny and had to run to the bathroom...

Hmmm, could I be, maybe I am, yayyy, I am going to have Jon's baby.  I have never felt like this in my life.  I was so extatic, could't hold it in.

I had to tell Jon the news.

Of course, he was so very happy and a very doting husband and father to be, he would rub my back whenver I needed it.......

I had alot of morning sickness, but I kept trying to sculpt and keep my mind occupied, when suddenly, it hit me.....

At first, I didn't know what was happening, but realized, I was having the baby.  Actually, it didn't take long and then little Celeste was born.  She was precious, looked just like her father and Jon could not have been more proud.  He immediately took his little angel and hugged her and played with her, so I could rest.

This is Celeste's room, which Jon did in his spare time, not sure when he found time, but it was adorable, all of the little stars and moons.  He was so thoughtful.

Little Celeste was a good baby and
it wasn't long before she grew into
a toddler and she really looked
like Jon then.

She loved her daddy and she
preferred he take care of her
moreover than me, but that was ok,
I would have a lifetime with her,
she needs to spend as much time
with her daddy as possible.  He
made her giggle so much she was
beside herself.

Jon pretty much did most of the
training and it felt like I was
living a fairy tale.  So I guess it
is true, that people can be truly
happy if they find that special
person and I know I have been
blessed in more ways than one......

I hope this dynasty takes.  I am trying to make the rooms smaller.  My problem is, I get carried away and make everything so big.  So, I don't mind spreading it out, just keep it simple.  We will see once I get going, I can't stop, lol.  I think when the rooms are smaller and have nice furniture, it makes it look more homey.

Celeste has been such a good baby and so easy to teach everything too,  She has learned everything and now just waiting for her birthday and still a few days away.  My eyes were getting crossed again.  Thanks for the comments. :)

O sweet toddler, welcome Celeste, what a beautiful name!
I absolutely understand the problem with big rooms. It is so hard not to get carried away :D I hate when build too big, and it takes them forever to reach bathroom of fridge! But have no doubt you'll make them perfect home. Why you think that this dynasty won't take? Are you having some problems with them?

Well, for one thing, I wasn't thinking and I had the founder get a job in business.  I wasn't even going to have the founder work, so I do not know why I did that.  Oh well, she is young enough, she should get done what she needs to get done.  Jon has already done the portraits, so that is a plus. :)

I am not quite sure how it happened, but Jon and I are two star celebrities.  Little did I know, that Riverview had celebrities and now I find out they have vampires.  I am not too sure about this, if it was up to me, I would be so outta here.  I even saw someone looking in our bathroom window, ewwww......

There is not too much going on.  Jon says I am starting to nag him too much lately.  All I ask him is if he changed the lightbuld, sheesh, you think I had ask him to paint the house, hmmm, not a bad idea though....

It will be Jon's elder birthday tomorrow.  How time flies.  Celeste will age up to youth in a couple of days also and I am not too far behind.  I love my little family, so here are a few more pics of our little angel.  You will notice, she is so intent when she looks at us, like she knows what we are thinking......

Well, I must get things ready for Jon's party,  I am going to invite a few of his friends, so don't tell, ok....bye for now.

This is the first time that I actually had paparazzi really become a pain.  I have five star celebs in the other game and no paparazzi at all.  Go figure. :)  There were three at one time when my sim was trying to garden, I guess you just have to live with it and I only just started this dynasty and they already have two stars.  Oh well, price to pay for being famous, lol.

I suppose, but I just wish EA would tweak the AI so they can't simply walk into your house. That's ridiculous and completely unrealistic. "Hello, Mr. Man, allow me to flush the toilet for you. Can I turn the shower on now too?"

Good tip. I always forget about locking doors. But, in a party situation would guests still be able to automatically come in? (Sorry for dragging this out, Salty).

I am going to put a fence up, just waiting for some more money.  I am going a bit slower on the building.  I think on the other dynasty, I made it way too big too early and the game got jerky.  I did all of the cleanup and tweaking, but for some reason it just didn't want to save and the sims walked like robots. :)

I had to work the day of Jon's birthday, but I had ordered a cake and gotten a buffet table.  I invited a few of Jon's friends and they were suppose to be there at 4pm.  I had a video taken of the event and Jon got a makeover as soon as the party was over, he refused to look his age, but I will love him no matter what.  If you notice the elder in the back with a camera, he is a vampire and he is kinda smokin, ewww and I think a see a few sparks.

I turned into an adult the next night, but didn't have a cake or any fanfare.  We were still recuperating from Jon's party.  The next evening Celeste aged into a youth.  She is such a wonderful child and I will miss her toddler days immensely.

I eventually told Jon about the whole dynasty thing.  At first he just sat there and stared into space, got up and started playing his guitar.  He played for what seemed like hours and then took my hand and said, it would be fine and he would do whatever it took to make it happen.  He will be busy with my portrait and Celeste's portrait, but he is really good and I know he will do a good job.  I have no idea on how I am doing the museum yet, maybe will see if I can get some help from friends like TommyT or Thomas, maybe even Joria, they always have some good ideas on building things.  I am kinda awkward about things like that.  Anyway, for now, we have settled into a routine and will report back when I have more to write about, tata for now.

I guess I am going to have to go for a fourth attempt at my dynasty, anywhere besides Riverview.  I was noticing how jerky my sims were walking and it about drove me crazy.  I did a massive cleanup and defrag and then I decided to play another game with quite a few sims in it to see if it still happened.  All my other games in other towns are fine and run great, except this one, in Riverview.  I cannot see trying to go through 8 generations of that madness, so I am starting another again in SV and again, going to keep it simple at the start and only building on when necessary.  Will take it slow and not go crazy with alot of clutter and this time, it had better take.  I really love playing these games and I get so into them, but again, at least I only had one child.  Thanks for reading and will probably just delete this thread. :)
