I wish...

I'd quite like a Create-A-Painting downloadable program, that worked in a similar way to Create-A-Pattern by creating a Sims3Pack for the game.  I'd like a choice of sizes, frame or no-frame (poster or wallhanging or large photo-wall mural) and the ability to import pictures of my choice or play around with clipart (as in CAP) or even extract photos that my sims have taken or paintings that my sims have painted in-game.

I suppose it would have to called Create-An-Artwork or something, as both CAP and CAW (Create-A-World / Wall Art) are already taken.

I'm aware that it is possible to create your own pictures, I've done this in both TS2 and TS3, but it's a bit fiddly.  I tend not to buy the Stuff-Packs but would be more inclined to do so, if they also contained programs for customisation.

... Wish over, thanks for indulging me.

(I'm not really a computer whiz - it's just that, rather nerdishly, I like using them.)

I can't see as that being overly difficult to do.  People who make CC have been known to make wall art, so how hard could it really be for them to create a program that allows you to install a picture into a few different types of frames?

There was an official create a painting for the original Sims: Maxis Art Studio.  It's been done before, I'm certain it can be done again.

Oh, sweet irony, deliver me from coincidence.

I think in CAS you should have the option to add extended family members, without having to add immediate family members. Like you can make two sims living together and list their relationships as cousins, aunts, uncles, grandma, grandpa, not just brother, sister, mom, dad, husband, wife, fiancee, boyfriend, or girlfriend.

That is a great idea, Gheez@  This is the kind of thing I like to see on a thread like this.  Not just wished for re-hashed Sims 2 stuff.  What you suggested, Gheez, is focused on Sims 3 and it's feasible.  And I agree, being able to upload our own pictures to have the Sims paint them was be awesome@

I would like to see it too. I have several pictures painted by Mort Goth when he was a child, that are really good.

Also, I would like to see a children/teen version of the LTR "Professional Slacker" one where they can use the interactions "Slack Off" "Sleep in Class" "Talk to Friends" copy their peers' and siblings' homework, even have the kids they don't like do their homework for them, and get away with it.

Jealousy/Witnessing Betrayal Sims 3 style (where the Sim will have a sixth sense on their partner cheating on them, even the babies and toddlers are effected) should effect Sims that are Children or older with the following traits: Hopeless Romantic and Family Oriented (since they seem to take commitment seriously) Sims that are evil, mean spirited, and have commitment issues, should get a joy out of another person's cheating spouse, even if it's their own parents. Since Sims with commitment issues really don't take commitment that seriously, they should remain unaffected, unless they have a full relationship with their partner, unless they are only "romantic interests" and should get even by kissing, or even just flirting with another sim.

EDIT: I also suggest child Sims should have their own set of "romantic interactions." Not like their Teen and older counter parts, more like the children on the Peanuts gang, and Winnie and Kevin on the Wonder Years. (These are primary examples to better explain my future Improvement). The child version of the romantic interactions would not always be mutual, and the mutual feelings, are just simply "childlike" boyfriend and girlfriend. If the feeling wasn't mutual, it would have no effect on the children's relationship, as children in general are too young to experience romance, rejection etc. The children romantic interactions would be "Confess love for," "Talk about future wedding/ask to marry," and even talk about their crushes to their siblings and friends at school. They wouldn't actually propose marriage, just say "I'm gonna marry you." They should also tease, make fun of, and generally be mean to their crushes, to hide their feelings, the way RL children do. I think it would be cute, if the child sim were to wash their hands and face for a good sim hour to get rid of the "cooties" after another sim kisses them on the cheek.

We already have this to a certain degree with the tones while a child is at school.  You can choose Work Hard, Make New Friends, Take it Easy, Talk to Friends, etc.

We already have some of this, too.  If a child or even a toddler sees a parent "cheating," they get a negative moodlet and the relationship with the person cheating goes down drastically.

I do however think it would be cute however if children had their own sets of romantic interactions with their peers though. Not like their older sim counterparts, more like expressing their crushes, in childlike ways, whether it's nice or mean. Since children are too young to experience the type of romance that teens and older experience, their feelings wouldn't always be mutual, and person the child is crushing can be nice or mean about it.

I think it would be funny to watch toddlers, have their own little sets of mean interactions with their peers, and even climb on top of the kitchen counters, and destroy mommy and daddy's books laying around.  ;D

The one thing that's been annoying me since the Sims 3 first came out what that we don't have the ability to move windows and mirrors (and curtains?) up and down the wall. We can do it with pictures and lights, so why not windows?

I've wondered the same thing.  Some windows cut through certain curtains but then others are too high.  I would love it if they added that feature.

On a different note, I wish we could choice frames for the pictures sims paint.  This was a feature in Sims 2, wasn't it?  Sometimes, they just don't fit with the rest of the decor.

I think it would be cool if EA could add body piercings and more tattoo locations as well. Perhaps, even add a piercing shop to the salon?

I'd like to see better house designs. There are houses that are absolutely huge, verging on mansion sized, that are only 1br, 1ba, or 1br, 1.5 ba. In fact, most houses in Sims 3 are like that. Huge places, but they don't hold many people.

I complete agree with what you're saying here.

Like, with the Alto's in Sunset Valley. They have one of the largest properties available, but that can only house 3 people. Then, when they have another child (which occasionally happens), they are forced to move out to a much smaller house so they have enough room for the fourth member of their family.

This is a minor quibble, at most.

Now that we have Vampires, I'd like to see more skills that kids can learn. My born vampire kids max every skill they can learn in days and then I'm bored until they age up to teens  :-\. I hope Generations will fix that problem though!

Yes, the Mach 12 learning rates for vampire children is obviously a bug, and with any luck the Generations patch will fix it.  But by the looks of what Generations has to offer, sim children will have plenty to do (finally).

Another thing I'd like to see is "The Sims 3 Body Shop". Just like the Sims 2 equivalent, we'd be able to make simple "Custom Content" (I guess), but I'd like EA to make sure that the "CC" is harmless. I don't want to get BS, create a skin tone, then have it severly corrupt my game.

And... Create a sim from people! You can upload a picture of yourself, and the game will sim-ify that for you!!! For instance, if I have the nose of Arlo Bunch, then uploading my picture would create a sim like me with Arlo Bunch's nose.

Actually, the feature will be available very soon in Sims 3. Just it's Sims 3 for Nintendo 3DS (released April 11, 2011).

For real? That is awesome! I could actually Simfy myself perfectly for a change lol. I have such problems doing that!  ::) But it's only for Nintendo?  :( I have the PC version.

I would like to be able to place items in different positions on a wall so you could have pictures or certificates running at a angle like this for example.

That's another thing I forgot to include in my previous post about this issue. Being able to move windows/curtains/mirrors/certificates/etc. up and down a wall would be fantastic. But I guess the creators of the Sims 3 are too lazy to add the same capabilities we have for paintings onto those other things.

Another thing that would be nice is the ability to place pictures anywhere along the wall. Like have an alt-key function (like we have for placing objects on the ground/floor) so you can place them at any position along the wall you want.

That would be sweet. Perhaps, a simplified way to create your sim-self. However, I would personally get bored with it, as it would eventually suck the fun out of CAS.

In terms of uploading CC, you know how you scan your computer for viruses? How the computer will conduct a "weekly scan" that will detect worms? I think maybe The Sims 3 Launcher, where you download your CC, should have their own little version of that. In simple terms: there needs to be a "scan" option, that will detect any bugs and threats, associated with your corrupt items, and any items detected as a "threat" will simply be removed safely. Just like you would on your PC. I find myself constantly feeling the need to test my CC and have passed out from exhaustion looking for that corrupted item. The CC detector would eliminate mutated children and toddlers.
