I love peek-a-boo!!  It was new with the World Adventures release.  I especially love how the toddler makes those barking hiccup laughs!  ;D

I'm not associated with EA, so this is just my opinion. I think they are well aware of what players want to see in the game and I think they will eventually give it to us.  They aren't just game creators, they are also businesspeople.  If they put everything we want into the base game, they would have played all their cards up front.  I'm sure they are thinking down the line and how to keep sales moving.  They gave us the much desired electric guitar in the High End Loft stuff pack.  And the vibrating bed.  But seriously, don't expect them to give you everything in one pack.  They will dole it out a little at a time over the next few years so you can gradually build your game up to be so much more than what it started with.  The old saying, "always leave them wanting more" applies here.  It's a viable business tactic for them.

I agree with Pam, it's their tactic, they want people to buy stuff packs like HEL just to be able to use electric guitar, or have a proper fish-tank (really like that one!) etc.

Otherwise I just think it takes a lot of programming to incorporate a new object in Sims 3, especially ones like the Hot-Tub/Piano - there's lots of career and social options to consider. I miss them too, but the longer we wait the better the objects will get.

I'd like to have a tiny concert hall at my place! Maybe even a gothic one in the basement. Since you can have a stage (will people hear the music? it's on different floors in a way), I want my rich Sims to be able to throw a chamber concert, maybe even sell tickets if she or he is especially accomplished as a performer. The guests would sit on chairs, have fun, and maybe I could invite them to a banquet afterwards (not everyone!).
Maybe a new location in Town? A public concert hall, that you could rent? You could go through door only with the ticket in your inventory.

Also, The Gallery! Why not make Sims have their own art exhibitions, and invite people? It's easy, a banquet table, etc. There's a lot of space in there, it's a way to use it.

*Lots* of new instruments! Cellos, violin, saxophone, harp, keyboard, drum-sets, trumpet - making a musician who can embrace 3 instruments would be harder, and you could choose what kind of musicians you want them to become. And it would be great to use the chairs for learning at home for this. Maybe some duet/quartet options? Quartet/Band concerts? Some swing/jazz/classical music wouldn't kill anybody, right?
What about singing? Why not make it a skill too? If there was a piano you could hire someone to teach singing/have a parent who has the skill spend some time on it with her teen pop-star wannabe. Karaoke would be nice practice. I'd love to see my Sim with a guitar singing for tips. And different songs for tips-earning too!

I feel that the option of having parties in town is to be explored.

The easel should definitely be inventory-friendly. Then maybe we wouldn't cage our self-employed Sim-painters at home, but make them go to different locations around town.
I'm waiting for the sculptor in "Ambitions" :D Great, they have thought about it.

I *desperately* long for a gardener. I know that it would be difficult, but if you could somehow control him, like with what he will fertilize the plants (maybe a question "I have tended the garden, would you like me to fertilize? and yes/fertilize with best fertilizers, yes/fertilizer...), and whatever produce he'd get he could put in the fridge or sim's inventory. I don't mind planting new plants, it just takes so much time to tend your garden. The Master Farmer challenge would sill be there, cause the fruit he picks wouldn't count for other sim's quota. He could be paid per hour - if you've got a huge orchard, it's only fair that he gets fair wages.
What about catering? I think that at some parties it would be great to have guests automatically sit down at the table at a set hour and have two waitresses serve from banquet tables, and then everyone would eat at the same time. That way you could invite more people :). Maybe there could be a different sort of banquet table for drinks, where you could serve your own nectar?

The Holiday expansion pack, one mentioned previously, would also be nice. A couple of new locations, just for fun, where you could forget about work and WooHoo in peace, different hotels to lodge in, clubs with music-themes, open bars, beaches where you could tan, build sand castles, swim in the sea, snorkel, scuba-dive? I've never played seasons, but it could nicely coincide with holiday seasons. Maybe a hot summer romance with a local for an ambitious workaholic to sugar-coat her lack of personal life?

How about book authors holding autograph sessions when they're accomplished? They could convince other Sims to read their books and become famous.

I want to see sims being able to break objects. Like pushing over a vase(if they even have those). They should also add weather. It would be funny to see a storm and having sims run through it.

That makes so much sense since it happens in the real world. Athletes too should be able to hold Autograph sessions.

Can't athletes hold autograph sessions now?  I've never played one long enough to find out personally, but the Prima guide says that once the Sim reaches the top of the Sports career, they can hold autograph sessions.  Of course, there seem to be a lot of errors in that book so maybe this is one more.

Yeah, stupid me. It's right there on Carl's LTW description page. I just had never done it and only have done the Rock Star one.

Or if the trailer gets swept up by a tornado? ;D :D

I would love (being a teenager) if you could view the inside of the school and there was like a heirachy of popular teens and you had to get to the top of it. Or like you could spread certain gossips like Joe is cheating on Sam, Linda go a nose job,  Pam failed a test?

Or maybe: TheLG's boyfriend asked LostGirls to marry him ;)?

I would like to see some Off-Road Vehicles, Farming Lots where you can buy land and produce crops or rear animals, Be able to open up your own businesses, Seasons and weather! Swimming in the sea, as I have said before in this thread about the Gradual Growth things.

Yes, level 10 athletes can definitely sign autographs.  I've done it more than once.  Also, in the music career, the symphonic track level 10 can also sign autographs.  Not just the rock star track.

I don't really see the point in signing Autographs. Fred has done one, but he earned 1,500 from fourteen signs. The theatre got a lot more than he did, maybe it brings in more money for the partnerships if you have one for that location.

Signing autographs is a fine way to meet new people, and instantly befriend them (if you have Charisma skill challenges done).

Whenever you had two parents, and (in my case it was always the dad Sim) who would work later than the children would be at school, anyways, as soon as the father would get home the child Sim would stop whatever they were doing and run (I'm very serious, they stopped and took off for the door at full speed, the first time I saw this, my Sim had been doing homework and I was confused to where she was going!) to hug her father! It was adorable how she did this everyday. I didn't want to just start up a new topic so I found this one again to post in it. I would love to see that happen again in future Sim patches etc. Plus I just found out about the Peek-a-boo interaction and have never said "aww" more at anything in that game other than to that action. It's adorable. :)

Nay, I never liked the auto-hug. It was, to me, a waste of time and unrealistic (well, Sims isn't meant to be realistic but still...), as I not everybody does that anymore.

it depends on the relationship, right? And the mood. If you feel like crying you're not gonna run like a cute puppy-dog and hug your dad.

I'd like more comfortable single beds. The only really comfortable ones are king-sizes.

I'm waiting for the pool table, I hope there'll be a league too, and maybe it could rise your athletic skill? It's an official sport.

More paintings -> I get bored with the standard ones, how many replicas can you have? (of course you can paint new ones yourself, but a little more diversity wouldn't kill anybody).

The ability to have two skill opportunities at a time! It would be a life saver when you're waiting for that omni-plant opportunity! (or the steak one :< I still haven't gotten that one.)

I have something a bit silly and childish. A piggy bank and pocket money! For kids and teens, they can save up for money in it, so they buy the piggy bank, it ages up in value and when you reach adult you sell it!  ;D

That's a perfect idea! I would love that because I have teens who normally get part time jobs, so when they go and earn their own money, it doesn't even go towards their life in the future (like if they move out they get to keep whatever money their parents grant them, and whatever money they earned to buy their own things) I started to notice that with the Sims 2. Whenever a Sim would die prematurely, whatever money they earned got passed along as inheritance (I think this comes with the Universities because that money they earned would show up in their college funds)

Ooo, this thread has really got me thinking! My wish-list for future Sims 3 expansions/stuff packs:

Seasons & Weather - really loved the snow in Sims 2.
Pets - but, as other posters have said, not just cats & dogs, is there any reason we can't have horses? A mad scientist could even do a Jurassic Park & clone a dinosaur for his/her kids! Just think, you could go out and collect amber washed up on the beach, and have the option to extract DNA...
Hobbies - but make it so we can choose not to have a particular hobby please, in Sims 2 my sims would always ended up having the cooking hobby because that would be the first thing they did that had a hobby attached. Grr!
Superstar & Makin' Magic from Sims 1 - I enjoyed these expansions but I never seemed to get very far in the career tracks with them and felt like I'd missed a lot (they got neglected when Sims 2 appeared, of course!), I would love to have something similar in Sims 3.
More World Adventures please! - I just think this is the best expansion pack EVER! And there is so much more you could do! My current top 3 destinations are: Mayan/Aztec (insert culture of choice) ruins in a South American rainforest, Italy for Rome to explore Roman ruins & those catacombs full of skulls under the city, and Thailand or similar (Simkor Wat anyone?!). I am also considering what you could do with Iceland (Vikings & Volcanoes!), a Greek Island (sorta similar to Rome but how about visiting a cave which leads to Hades, paying Charon to cross the Styx & feeding a sop to Cerberus? Hmmm!) and an African country like Botswana or Kenya for a safari (a reward in which you can take an elephant home would be awesome!).

Career-wise, I'm waiting to see what Ambitions is going to include. There is still a lot of things that need to be ironed out with Sims 3 (anyone else had the Invisible Maid service? and the thought-bubble on the ground which turns out to be a friend who is now either invisible or only an inch tall?!), but I'm sure it's going to keep getting better!

This may sound a bit stupid, but I'd love to see clumsy sims do more:

Drop plates, fall over when walking, jogging or running, and fall on the stairs. It would be comical at least.

For longevity of my sims I really wish they'd go back to allowing you to take on another long term goal after you complete the first.

Hehe I agree, I would love to see that, the clumsy Sims now really don't do much but have a little bit more personality, it makes the trait not too important for me, if it did more things like that ^ and maybe allowed a little more restraint on actual things (like working out for athletic skill or what not) then I would definitely use it more because it would add more personality then just a few trips here and there.

I have a silly sounding idea. Wouldn't it be great if you can push a button and see the world through your Sim's eyes? I mean to see how the house looks like and what's he doing etc. :)

You can have a view that is almost similar to that by pressing the Tab key on your keyboard. Unless you mean something more specific, yea, it's cool to follow the Sim's view.
