I think I am going to have to agree with Pam on this one.  I do agree though that some of the hair I have seen is gorgeous, but with all of the colors you can come up with and for the eyes too, it is enough for me.  I realize that the toddlers don't stay toddlers very long, but I would like to see a few more styles for them.

In addition to the stats page, I was thinking bring part of the apartment life over to your main home...what i mean is if you have a multi-person home, you should be able to make individual rooms theirs...not to the point that you cant see in them like apt life, but when you tell the kids to go to bed, they go to their rooms, that you have created for them...rather than the nearest bed to sleep.  Also should be a couple new commands at a parents disposal, after all we have the "can household to eat" , why cant mom just yell "kids time for bed" and have all 3 kids stop what their doing and head to their beds...rather than individual clicks by us?

I would also like the list of stuff taught by parents to be a bit bigger...right now you can teach toddlers to walk abd talk, but parents teach so much more than that...when they become kids, give the parent to option (if they have the skill) to teach their kids subjects..."teach child gardening" maybe up to lvl 2 or 3, so the kids works beside mom/dad at weeding and watering the garden, same with fishing.  And when they age up, add some more topics, like Handiness, Charisma, Writing and so on...give the kids a bit of a jump on the adult life they will have to deal with soon enough.

First, welcome to the forum.  The first idea about them sleeping in their own bed, they already do that.  Once a sim sleeps in a bed, it is basically their bed and they will always sleep in it, maybe not 100%, but if you try to have someone else sleep in it, it will have the other sims name of whos bed it is.  Mine always go to their own bedrooms, so I always fix the rooms just for that sim.  I agree, in some areas, the kids should have more options.

I know a lot of people complain about the ingame hair, eyes, lips, etc.  But to me, I think the ones available to us are just fine.  EA does a good job of keeping up...And I think their eyes are very pretty, especially when I custom color them.

Yeah, I would like more hairs, but the eyes and hairs people make...They scare me. Especially those huge ole anime goo-goo eyes. I accidentally downloaded one with the scary hair and eyes, and...You're right, they're too shiny. As for lips and noses and faces, you can customize those.

Pam I do agree with you that EA seems to create more realistic hair for the game.  The CC hair are generally big and not what most people would have in their daily lives but I still like them.  LOL  I guess it is a throw back to my Barbie days!  The hair always got me first!  Then the clothing!  If I wasn't so afraid of crashing my game I'd be downloading clothes and hair like mad!  LOL  I battle that temptation daily.  CC will also cause your game to load very slowly.  I used to get lots of cleaning done waiting for my Sims2 to load.  LOL  Now not so much since it loads properly since I have NOTHING!

I haven't done much with generations in the game, so I did not know that, thank you for setting me straight.

Sometimes, but not very often.  I just wake them up and send them to their own room.  I would probably say 98% of the time they go to their own room.  I do notice if they are really in the red, they head for the closest bed, but if you click on them to go to bed, they will go to their own.  Ok, enough of the off topic, lol.  I tend to get carried away.

I have been getting frustrated lately.  :( I want to edit families in the relationship area in CAS, but I can't seem to do that to the extent I want. I also get frustrated that in the game, a old man can be the father of a toddler, but I can't do that in CAS. I'd like to make a young adult the child of a adult, since that what happens in average games with normal lifespan, but I can't. It makes me sad I can't just start these families, instead of trying to get through 30+ sim days to make the family I want.  :'(

That's why we should get the ability to do zoos, and have a Ambitions style career as a Zoo Keeper. You could wander around the park and take care of animals, and train some species to do tricks for a show. It would also be nice to make a good exhibit for animals, instead of just boxy cages, there being actual plants and trees and toys...I dream of a animal expansion.  :-\

That would be so sweet! I think marine animals should be included as well.

Or, better yet... 8) Instead of Evil Sims letting animals out, why not have Klepto sims stealing exotic pets? Like nabbing a baby bear or tiger, and raising it at home? Loser sims could also get attacked by animals when they visit the zoo...Like, 'Opse, I left the croc cage open, and poor Loser Larry got attacked'. People shouldn't die from animals, but they get a moodlet like 'Singed', and are afraid to interact with any animal, wild or domestic.

It's absolutely about marketability.  EA designs the game targeted at the lowest common denominator.  There are people who would refuse to buy the game if it was highly immoral, but there are very few people who would refuse because it's not immoral enough.  They will do whatever makes the most money.  It's just that simple.

Also, if you're going to quote something, it's a good idea to identify who you're quoting.

When Wil Wright first designed The Sims, he was very concerned with which things to include and which things to leave out of the game.    He thought there would be a huge backlash from some people because the game allowed gay marriages, but surprisingly, no one complained about it.

Maybe people are more accepting than we think? :)  Nah, I doubt it. ;)

Another improvement that I think would be really great is if there was a lifetime reward for 'faster gardening'; this has to be the longest chore in the game.  ::)

I don't understand why we can't just hire a gardener!   It would make perfect sense for wealthy families to have gardeners.

I miss the nanny from Sims 2 if I remember rightly she would work round your Sims work schedule
It annoys me when you have to hire a baby sitter every time you leave the house. Although I do tend to just pick the baby up now and take it with me where ever I go. Not tried taking it to work yet not sure if the game will let me.

one more things I would like to see change in the game, since so many skills are tied to each other (cooking to gardening to fishing) why dont they seperate the harvest into quality groups in your backpack...rather than having to go to the store and sell all the cheap stuff...they should make it easier for us to see the difference rather than lumping into one pile.

I would like to see more interaction with the hospitals, operations & births. People having broken legs set in plaster. Our Sims could trip and fall and need hospital treatment- as they never seem to fall over. And if they were like me they would be so uncoordinated.
I would also like to see more differences in the height of Sims, as they all seem to be the same height.

I loved the Pianos too. I also loved the changing seasons with all the gardening and sale of veg.

I would like to see the new career as ballet dancers-they could do barre exercises and have a dance studio in their home and take their grade exams to get to the height of the profession culminating in becoming a professional dancer. And we could have actors, they could learn their lines and quote from Hamlet in Simlish, they could buy the scripts from the bookshop. 8)

''Also more interactions in the water with other sims, like dunking them if they don't like each other or splashing each other.''

Do you remember in Sims 2 that babies were always going to the bathroom and playing with the loo? It got so annoying I build my bathrooms up on a step to keep them out as it always brought down their moods as everywhere was messy and needed constantly mopping up. :(

LOL building on a step is a good solution to that. I never would have thought of that. Anyways I am pretty sure that right now you can splash but dunking I don't know about. Also I am pretty sure that if you have a Sim with the clumsy trait they do trip and fall. But I do like the hospital idea. Someone had started a thread about something similar to your idea a while ago but I don't know what happened to it or even remember who it was but it was about destruction and such being added to the game. I like that idea to an extent of course. I would love a more in depth medical career that could branch out to hospital or like clinic doctor and then when you break a bone you would go to the clinic or whatever and sickness being added as in colds and the flu. Another reason to go to the clinic along with prevention by going to the clinic and even going to the clinic when pregnant instead of reading the books and watching the kids channel. That could be a help in boosting the chances of multiples or something. The clinic would have hours and if it was after hours you would either wait till the next day or go to the hospital which in turn would take longer than the clinic you know sort of like real life. Well at least that is how it is here where I live I assume mostly similar to other places. Maybe even having to pay to see the doctor. Just my thoughts on the hospital idea. Oh and operations would be neat too like routine things.
