Thank you very much Alyssa.cole  :D

Thank you, Gheez. Consider yourself my Number One for the Flight of the Starship Crescent Wrench Challenge.

Ooh, *blushes a little bit with pleasure and polishes imaginary badge*, looking forward to the use of phrases such as 'time check supplemental', 'it's worse than that, it's wrong, Met', and 'it's addition, Met, but not as we know it'.

Well, I'm off to wipe the 'cling-ons' off the starboard monitor and sing-along to that 'Star Trekking' song again.

Lol. You just keep practicing, Number One. No self respecting product of Starfleet Academy can be allowed to be relegated to the bottom of a leaderboard.  ;D

Thanks Captain Metro, I'm just lowly acting ensign Simsly Shursher, so no pressure. :)

Congratulations to all of us for finishing and big congratulations to the ones on the top of the leader board.  So looking forward to finding out how you did it.

Just found a few small errors/oddities:

Paula2424 - first vacation time a minute less, so revised total vacation = 12,783.  Total time = 23,567 minutes

stella_d - I've presumed (after looking at her calculation) ended her final holiday on day 4 after already having one 6 day or two 3 day vacations.

NancyJ - I agree with jaxpylon about the town time addition, town should = 3,394.  Revised total time = 14230 minutes.

biancasimone - um?  I couldn't find her times, did I miss a post?

rahmbr - Town time: week 2, day 1, 10:23am (10,080 +600 +23) = 10,703.
          - Vacation time: ended on 6th day at 2:04pm (7,200 +840 +24) = 8,044.
          - Total time = 18,747 minutes.

Leaderboard
                 - ClumsyMum's vacation time is out by 10 minutes, it should be 19,357, bringing her total time up to 28,103 minutes.
                 - along with biancasimone, I also haven't double-checked hrdrdrdr times.

So, because that looked confusing, only two changes necessary to leaderboard:  Paula2424 & ClumsyMum, but they are hardly big changes.  Phew.

Congratulations to winnow.  So looking forward to hearing how it should have been done.  :D

Gheez - You didn't miss it, I PMed my score/times to Metro.  I messed up some of my calculations anyway... darnit ><  Metro and I have been going back and forth because I seem to have added an extra week and extra day to my town and vacation scores.  Not that I ranked in the top 10 or anything, but I want to have my proper credit!

As far as strategy... Did ANYONE ELSE have issues with certain sims not wanting to stay seated at the chess table?  I was in River View and Jamie Jolina would NOT sit at a table!  It took me almost a week to complete any games with her. ARGH!

I found that if you don't invite them 'inside' or greet them when they arrive, often they'll stay for one match and then sit through a bit of the second and then get up and leave.
Side note - why was Jamie Jolina in Riverview?

The leaderboard now shows your correct times and total.

Never though of that!  My sim had "loves the outdoors" (so I build the non-house: bed, fridge, microwave, sink, ONE WALL and a toilet) so I never really had an 'inside' to invite them, so I never though of that.  Sheesh, what a silly thing to overlook. ><

I wondered, afterwards, if that is what had happened.  I'm glad it's all sorted out for you now.

I had problems playing chess too. Sometimes it two or three attempts to get them to actually play.  Then, if I was really unlucky they'd leave and when I called them back I'd have to wait because they were at work.  I'm reading the other thread for hints and tips on what I should have been doing.  :D

Still, although I took a long time, I did enjoy Metro's challenge.

Maybe that's why she would not sit down at the chess table.  She had a nagging feeling that she was in the wrong town!

I had the same setting, but I used invite inside anyway. They just walked to the letterbox :)

Good catch, NancyJ!  I really meant Sunset Valley.  I wanted to play in Riverview (and I did for one or two practices) but I couldn't get over NOT HAVING THE SKILL BOOKCASES ... ><

I think it's Twinbrook that doesn't have any of the skill books.
