Pam is right. The gallery's main role is to serve people here at the forum, giving them an alternative for hosting the images that will be used in stories. If folks started uploading hundreds of images without using them, it would take up too much space and bandwidth and I wouldn't be able to offer it any more.

I hardly ever not use an Image I upload, sometimes the odd one slips through but that is very rare. Actually I think I have the most uploads/files and have sometimes done around 50 at once, as chapters for my Legacy. Which I hope is okay?

I try to use all the pictures that I upload, and I never upload more than 25 at a time.
However, I don't always use all of my pictures because most of the time I update it's on my mobile, and it's easier to not use some of them, and some of them I thought were good but then I realized they wouldn't fit in my story.

I have a small problem with the gallery. I forgot my password (I'm at work and am bored and was going to update my decadynasty, finally). I tried the reset link and it sends me a link but the link said the reset was expired. I tried a few of my passwords that I use and ended up getting banned from the gallery. How can I get reset?

Your best bed would be to send a private message to Carl and see if he can get it reset for you.

I'm just trying to start using this and I'm having a problem figuring out how to make a sub-folder, if it can be done.
I made a folder called Patterns and I'm wanting to make folders under it for wood, tile, fabrics, ect. Instead of having them all in one folder.
Is there a way to do this or do I have to make make a folder for each one?

I'm not sure if this is the correct place to place my queries, but here I go. I actually registered over at The Gallery a little over a day ago, but so far, I haven't received any notifications regarding the activation of the account or lack thereof. That said, I have also tried login to The Gallery but to no avail as well. Is there a problem that I need to address or has my registration been rejected?

P.S.: My apologies if I'm jumping the gun a little bit too quickly for this one - first of all, I'm not sure if the notification option is still broken or if I have somehow bungled up the registration process and have no idea that I have done so.

The gallery shall now properly send notification emails when people are activated. Also, we'll be finally getting notices that people need approval!

As a lot of people know, the picture editing/hosting site Picnik is closing in exactly 10 days. I have some collages on there that I use for my stories. I make the collage there, then save it to my screenshots file, and then upload it to the gallery. So when Picnik closes will the collages dissapear or will they not since I saved them to the screenshots file?

If you've safely saved the files to a location on your computer, you should be fine.

If you are getting the IMG URL from Picnik you may lose the images. If you have uploaded them to say this Gallery or Photobucket they should be fine still.

Yes, you can use PhotoBucket. The Gallery is just an option. I use both the Gallery and PhotoBucket. All my Sims related photos, I upload to the gallery and any other photos I want to share are housed on PhotoBucket.

This is kind of weird... I went to my Dynasty's album to link to it, and it turns out that there's 1481 Pictures on 124 pages... Which is weird because I created it today and have only uploaded about ten photos.

How can I fix this?

Looking through them, I can't see anything. Maybe if you look and sort them by date uploaded you can identify where some of the pictures come from. If they aren't yours, that's really weird.

Edit: Got it. It's because your album keyword is Dynasty. Anyone else who uses the same keyword will have a similar problem. Keywords on albums need to be unique or coppermine will "link" other albums to it so that a person browsing would be able to see more images on that topic.
