can our sims count books found and read while using the time machine or etc. and can we use any cheats, such as buydebug to get the time machine, or, as always, there are no cheats allowed?
I do wonder as well if books read at the library counts as well, I could save some money early on if it does
Well, why wouldn't they? The Books Read multiplier means ALL books that kick that stat up obviously will work for you.
Also, simply since it relates to writing, I forget, will books writen by your own sim eventually show up in the library as well?
I don't know if they all do, but I've certainly found library books that my sim had written.
Just to clarify, you are allowed to sell other things whilst writing, right? For example, you initially bought a cheap bed, but now you have enough money for a more expensive one, you can sell the old bed, right?
Nobi, since the scoring is based on money earned writing, which is recorded under the writing skill, it should be fine to sell the cheap bed. It doesn't matter how much money you end up with in this challenge, just how much you've earned through writing.
@ Schip and Tom - I thought so. Was just making sure This one is gonna be much simpler than Garden of Eatin'.
It is. However, you and everyone else need to be aware of an inevitable scoring change I'm almost certain to make. After quite a bit of testing for this event with my Dynasty writer the Book multiplier value at 5% is way too high. It will probably be lowered to 1%. I'm not going to go into why with numerical examples, obviously. But, I'm pretty sure it will be more balanced.
Uh-oh. This is going to make a significant change in strategy for my contender. Less readin', more writin', to make the 'rithmetic come out right! When do you think you'll know for sure on this?
Probably I misread the rules (I read them on a mobile phone), but at which setting must the aging be set on? Or can we turn aging off? Sorry if this was in the rules.
Games Settings: Length = Long • Aging = On • Freewill = High
It will probably be lowered to 1%. I'm not going to go into why with numerical examples, obviously. But, I'm pretty sure it will be more balanced.
You’re allowed 12 total vacation days. Break it up however you wish — i.e. 12 1-day vacations, 4 3-day vacations, etc.
This is considered traveling abroad, correct?
