I did know that, but for some reason I misjudged time haha

Yep. Not long at all. I'm excited too. I have not done a total wipe/reinstall of Sims since I started the Man Dynasty last fall. So, now that I finally wrapped that up I did a full reinstall yesterday and created my character for this event — EeyoreWrite Man. But, it's a brand new EW, sort of a "new and improved" hotpants EeyoreWrite. So, I plopped her down in Sunset Valley and now she has to wait 10 days.

As long as you use your phone to move and don't do anything via Edit Town, yes, you can move as often as you want.

I can't believe this starts Monday. I'm very excited. And I can't believe the Grandmaster event ends on Sunday. Wow. With participation levels this year compared to last year I'll definitely be giving my spreadsheet program more of a workout with the world ranking.

I'm excited to play this challenge because it seems to rely less on randomness and more on strategy. Intending to play on speed 1 at all times so it lasts longer.

EDIT: Say, Metro, doesn't moving to another lot reset your sim time to a Monday morning?

No, not if you're staying in the same neighborhood. Moving to a new neighborhood is obvious totally against the rules as that entails starting a brand new file.

I don't understand that. Why the phone? Why not the computer? Or are you just refering to keeping your sim within the neighbourhood?

Just wanted to mention that this is absolute torture having to wait another weekend before the challenge starts. On that note, I dreamt last night that I gave my writer the WRONG traits! Oh no!

Metro, what happens if you feed an Omni plant your best book that you've gotten back in the mail and then you sell the books the plant gives you? Should the omni plant be banned?

If you made money this way, it still wouldn't add to the 'money earned writing' total in the skill journal, as far as I am aware.

Alexandria_ is correct. Having an Omni plant in this event is irrelevant.

I prefer to put on some music I like and mute the in game music, that usually helps.

I created another EeyoreWrite Man from my Man Dynasty. It's not THE EW like Pam is doing — saving her Dreamweavers to the bin and recycling them. It's a brand new character with just the same name. After all of the juggling of multiple things to do in the gardening event, I'm looking forward to a little bit of repetition and monotony in this one.

Haha, that's clever! My character's named Kahlan Amnell, which is a character in my favourite book series (The Sword of Truth series by Terry Goodkind).
