Thanks NancyJ! I'm usually an awful mod user - booooh! This hopelessness is only related to the specific rules of the challenges :-) Then of course, I can always hope that EA will eventually fix this mess in their code. Who knows, there will be a patch with Generations.

There will undoubtedly be a patch with Generations but if they follow form, it will add more bugs than it fixes

The last patch, which as far as I can tell is causing this specific issue in our specific circumstances only supposedly fixed 2 minor bugs.

Just wondering - anyone who is having the problem playing in Bridgeport? From reading the official forums it seems that the guy who made the mod has tracked down the cause of the problem, there's a routine throwing errors (something to do with Bar Brawls) and it continually throws more and more errors until your sims get stuck/go invisible. There are several mods that handle the error so that it doesn't break your game. I'm just thinking maybe its throwing errors because there are no bars for brawls to occur in and maybe it doesn't happen in Bridgeport (although there are other things in Bridgeport that can break your game!)

Oops. I spoke too soon. I had a hiccup last night with my Bridgeport game. My guy was on the computer and a few feet away his wife was on the treadmill. Poof. They disappeared. Thankfully, resetting both of them brought them back. I played another day with no additional problems, so fingers crossed on that.

Oh noes! How far in were you? IME resetting is just a temporary fix, you could play for a few more days or sometimes a few more weeks but eventually it happens again, and again and again.

We'll see. So, far no more problems. I'm at week 8 now. I'm doing really well too. Everything's happening as planned, so if this file is catastrophically hosed I'm going Hulk Smash on something.

9 rabbit-holes = 9000 points
19 carrots X .05 = .95. Final multiplier = 1.00 + .95 = 1.95
My Total = 9000 X 1.95 = 17550

Please make yourself comfortable. Now, tell me when your Sim first started having these feelings? Was there anything else going on in your Sim's life that would lead to this depression? If your depressed Sim left on a southbound train going 40 mph and another train was heading north going 50 mph....

I played all day today and finished out. Thankfully, there were no more technical issues other than that one glitch where my 2 Sims disappeared. I did better than I had expected. Kathy and Tom Kah-Rear definitely put the "Rear" in careers. Lol. I was hoping for 12 careers and managed 13. The carrot total was respectable as well at 21.

So, here's the high water mark for now...

Careers — 13 X 1000 = 13000
Carrots — 21 X .05 = 1.05 = 2.05

13000 X 2.05 = 26650

Just one quick question. In the rules it says that you score 1000 points for a fully explored rabbit hole. Does that mean that when a rabbit hole contains two careers we have to complete both careers to get one rabbit hole score of a 1000 points or do we get 2000 points if we complete both careers.

2 careers = 2 separate rabbit holes.

At one point I didn't think I was ever going to be able to complete this challenge due to all the glitches, but I did! Yay! lol Didn't do as well as I would have liked mainly, I think, because I messed up with my strategy, which I realised around week 9 - oops. But anyway, here's my score:

Careers: 7 (7000)
Carrots: 15 (0.75
7000 X (1 + 0.75) = 12250

Haha, that puts me dead last, oh dear, good job I'm not (too) competitive! lol
