Perfectionist seems so obvious in retrospect.  :o I went with ambitious myself, but over-emotional and the three skill-based traits took the other slots. Like a lot of people I spent way too long on hot dogs. I'm not even sure how you get a link that's not 'normal' quality. Good job on topping the charts ik, and thanks for the explanation of your trait choices.
Thank you Carl :D . Actually I think over-emotional played a large part, too. My sim got a ton of happiness points simply by filling the green bar to the top most of the time. I left the hot dogs last, but spent a good part of the last few days cooking them. If I remember correctly, I did not get perfect hot dogs until a day or so before the finish, while I had all the other dishes perfect well over a week before. In fact, I just checked my final savegame and found a total of 28 dishes of (not spoiled) hot dogs in there ranging from great to perfect quality :o .

This challenge was really fun.  I didn't find it in time and it ended while I was on vacation in Hawaii but I was off to a great start and made it about 3 quarters of the way through.  I look forward to participating in the others and actually finishing :)

I know it's too late for this, but if you wanted to you could have submitted your score, even if you weren't finished with the challenge at the time. I had to do the same thing, but then my camping trip ended early and I was able to finish up, but I got lucky.

That would be great. I look forward to seeing you in other events.

Thanks for trying to contribute to the forum, Eftyen.  However, this is Metro's project and he should be the one to make any announcements about the challenges.  I'm not even sure that's how he wents to handle conversation for challenge threads that have already been closed.

But let's leave it to him, ok?  Thanks.

Hey, Eftyen, thanks for popping in. Yeah, definitely. If players want to share their strategy they used for a closed event in that Graveyard thread, great. They are welcome to do so. I'm always going to talk to the winners for some Hall of Fame information, so that will be another source of info.

Although now that I think about it, there may be an issue with permissions for non-Moderators to post in the Graveyard. A couple players have tried to update old Challenge threads and could not do so.

Let me think about this a little more, Eftyen.

EDIT: Oh, I see you were able to edit your post and you put in your strategy for Perfectly Happy, Eftyen. Good. That was nice info you offered up. Thanks. One thing players might consider in a future happiness points challenge is throwing lots and lots of parties. I only got that idea just a few days ago when I was writing a party article for the Guide. But, if your Sim is Ambitious, that "Throw a Great Party" is worth 850 points. And if you're really good at parties and there's plenty around for guests to entertain themselves, then your Sim can easily do other things to fulfill bigger wishes at the same time — the whole party thing would just be another layer obviously, not the sole thing going on. Two parties every single day would be completely manageable, and that would be an extra 1700 points/day.

Is there a list of all 96 items that we can get?

And for plants, its for a perfect plant, not a perfect ingredient/fruit, right?

And lastly, we can dispose of the fish/plant/dish after completing it right? no saving to end?

dannyr, this event is closed. You're welcome to try the challenge on your own, but the scoring table has already been finalized.

Ah, okay. Check out the Cooking, Fishing, and Gardening Guides. They'll have a list of all individual items. As to your last two questions...."yes."

I'm glad you had fun. However, this tournament officially closed 3 weeks ago.

EDIT: Ah, you already knew that. ;) I see on the previous page you asked me a question and I told you the same thing.  ;D
