Whew, finally!!! The Mc Lains raised 24 babies to YA (from Alpha to Xray). I'd say this is the most difficult challenge for me so far (despite it being bug free). Thanks, Metro!!! I learned so much about raising sim babies in this challenge. But I am not ready to see any sim babies any time soon.  :)

Moved out sims: 18 x 3 = 54
Remaining Sims with LTW fulfilled: 2 x 2 = 4
Remaining Sims with no LTW: 6 x 1 = 6

TOTAL:  64

I've got a question. Seems like I remember reading that this was ok but better safe than sorry! Can we use the birthday cake on the day of the sims actual birthday even if they didn't meet the requirements or are we to just leave them be till they age up normally?

Yes, as long as it's the birthday, you can use the cake.

I can't give you the okay, but should you need to reset them, you have two choices.  You can reset them both individually.  You open the cheat box by hitting control, shift and the letter C at the same time.  Type resetsim John Jones, inserting your sim's name, of course.  Then do the same for the other sim.  Popping one out of the action might pop the other out, too, since they're interacting with each other, but you may have to do both individually.  The second option is to reset everyone.  To do this, don't use a name; instead, type resetset sim and put a single asterisk * instead of the name.  This resets everyone in town from what they were doing.  Anyone doing any action will stop and be reset.  This means sleeping sims will pop out of bed and I believe it also sends everyone to their home, but it will include your two glitched sims in with the rest.

@momofmany — that's fine, go ahead and reset.

@CSquared2 — that's interesting about the town reset. I did not know that was even possible. Pretty cool.

Really?  I think I learned it from this site.   ;)  I use it when my game starts to move five to ten sim minutes at a time, then stops and freezes for 30 seconds or more.  I've been told that happens when someone in town is stuck and the game is trying to figure out what to do with them.  It keeps trying at the expense of your gameplay.  Resetting the town solves its problem for it without any need for you to go house to house banging on doors, looking for a sim who can't get out of his bathroom.

My score is a disappointing 33.  I'm eager to see how the winners managed such high scores.

Adam and Eve Nooboo had 28 kids.
 - 23 of them moved out (69 points)
 - Adam, Eve, Xander and Yves got their Lifetime Wishes (8 points)
 - Zahara, Zaiden and Zena did not get their Lifetime Wishes as they were born the day before Eve aged up (3 points)

Total = 80 points.

This challenge was a lot of fun!

I really should have waited another week to get The Sims Medieval since playing that one will cut into my challenge time for this challenge.
The first bunch isn't even out of the house yet, time to go faster it seems...

Officially dropping out of this one.  Too much other stuff on my plate to focus on it.  I enjoyed what I've done so far and may do it just for myself later but got way too much going on right now in RL.  Thanks, Metro for putting all these challenges together for us.
What?  Grannies can't play games?

Hey, you're welcome, Joria. I have lots on my plate now as well and may very well not post as many scores this year as I did last year. RL always comes first.

Jack and Jill Boomer had 13 kids. 7 moved out for 21 pts. Jack and Jill completed LTWs for 4 pts. 6 pts. for the rest, for a total of 31 pts. Most humorous moment -- when they decided to try for the last baby while Jack was dressed for surgery -- "Oh, those elbow-length green rubber gloves are soooo cool!"

-last word replaced by cool, original was not bad, but also not really appropiate by the forum rules. Leto -

Same with Joria, I'm going to have to drop out too. Too many problems with my game I can barely manage to get 10 minutes of playing time without "Exception Raised" popping up and the game quitting. Oh well.

Done!
Jake and Belinda Lovit had 18 children. 12 of them moved out leaving Jake and Belinda at home with just Sebastian, Seth, Lonnie, Lenny, Logan and Brodie still at home.
Of the remaining household, only Belinda and Jake achieved their LTW's

So..
moved out 12 x 3 = 36
at home LTW 2 x 2 = 4
at home no LTW 6 x 1 = 6
total = 46

I surprised myself with this one. I really didn't think I could do it, but hey, I did! Not sure if playing it after installing Generations was the best idea, I survived a house full of babies and toddlers with more ease than I survived a house full of teens!
It was hard seeing some of the new Generations things and not being able to explore them fully, so I might have a play with a non challenge game for a bit and really look into things. Overall though, I must say Metro, you've done it again with another great challenge.

I finally finished. Did not do quite as well as I had hoped, but I did a rush job the last 3 or 4 weeks and just wanted to be done with it. Lol.

# Sims moved out = 17 = 51.
Household members who did complete LTW = 4 = 8.
Household members who did not complete LTW = 4 = 4.

51 + 8 + 4 = 63.

Time to get totally random!

With your comment about not finishing as many challenges as last year, I had been wondering whether you were going to finish.  I'm glad you did :)  I'm still hoping that I'm going to finish in time.  Even if I do, I might have to skip a challenge in order to stop feeling like I'm behind on all of them.

Me too. I don't have your chops, but I still like to whip the sword out with everyone and give it my best.

Skip the Random one so I have a better shot at defending my only win from last year! Lol.  ;)

I ran out of time before I was half done with the Photography challenge, and with 4 1/2 weeks to go it looks like I might run out of time for this one too. I've already decided to skip the Rock Star challenge. This game really isn't as much fun when I'm racing to beat a deadline, and I want to take my time and have fun with the Wishmasters challenge.

I hope this doesn't break any rule on strategy, but how long did it take you guys to finish this challenge? I just want to know if I should bother attempting it, since there's only 6 days left.

I am boggled & impressed at some of the high scores.

Sims moved out: 10 = 30 points
Completed LTRs: 2 = 4 points
No LTRs: 6 = 6 points

Total score: 40 points

That would be pretty tough. You'd be playing about 2 Sim weeks per real day. Doable. I've finished full length challenges in less than a week, but never one with a full house. Lots of juggling in this one. Go for it. If you don't finish when time runs out, then post your score anyway.

True, I play a couple hours a day anyway so I should at least be able to get far in it. Thank you, again  :)

I doubt I'd beat you.  You beat me last year with your impressive score.  Not sure yet which one I would skip.  I'll try figuring it out once I finish baby boomers.

In response to the person who asked how long people have been working on this challenge, I've been working on it since June 6th.  Included in this time is a practice run I did where I got about halfway through the challenge before restarting as my actual.  I play sims pretty slowly, though.  I play especially slowly if I have a full household.  I expect to finish around this Friday.
