LOL. I saw a townie wandering around in Twinbrook wearing that the other day. Call the fashion police!

Just suddenly wondering, does the randomize button also determine age and gender?  As unlikly as it is to happen, it would be inconvienent if both sims came up as children.

I've never been given any thing other than YA Sims with the random button. I would say it's very unlikely that you would get a child Sim this way (probably because you need an adult Sim in every family anyway).

Correct. Everyone is going to begin with 2 Young Adults because that's the game's default starting age.

Thank you.  I just wasn't sure if age was randomized or not, or if it just randomized for that specific age set.  Guess the only remaining thing left is hoping my adopted sims don't get traits as they age up that conflict with their LTW.  Really stunk once when my child sim in a legacy challenge I tried had the LTW to be an Illustrious Author, then got technophobic for a trait when aging up to teen.

This challenge looks very funny! I have a soft spot for the random button and the impossible combinations resulting from its use ;D

The LTWs don't need to be unique/Sim this time, right?

No, they don't. As long as the LTW are spawned from wishes your Sims make that's fine. Choosing the first LTW is not necessary. You can wait and hope for a different one. But, remember — no Change Lifetime Wish reward allowed.

I'm looking forward to this challenge. Sign me up.  ;D

The adoption part should be really fun. I hope I adopt an evil child. That's going to be a blast. I wish the names were chosen at random though.

Tournament players don't sign up for individual challenges. First, please read the General Rules sticky titled Read Me First and then you'll need to PM me to be put on the Roster.

Well, I'm excited to participate in this challenge. It looks like I could have some Swap Shop worthy Sims from this, even some really humorous stories.  ;D

Well, I'm excited to participate in this challenge.

I am too. The Random tourney was the sole event I won last year. With this year's much larger field size if I can defend my title it would be much more impressive. The whole adoption component is so different though. It's going to be quite chaotic.

I just happened to look at the dates again and although I wrote them down, I thought this one started right away.  Yay, I should be settled enough to start this one with no problem.  I am such a ditz sometimes, lol.  I think this one is going to be the best one, besides the BBIII. ;D

Even If I don't win this challenge, it could be a fun story, especially, if the kid turns out to be evil and/or mean-spirited. This might be a story worthy challenge, from the kid's perspective of course.

EDIT: I changed my avatar to show off my excitement for the Foster Frenzy Challenge.

If a Sim dies early, should we continue with the game or stop there?
If this occurs while there are 2 - 7 Sims in the house, do we adopt an extra sim to fill the gap?

EDIT: Metro, if you don't mind me asking, what do you mean by:

Choosing the first LTW is not necessary. You can wait and hope for a different one.

Your choice, but there's nothing in the rules forcing you to stop, so you might as well grab as many points as you can.

If this occurs while there are 2 - 7 Sims in the house, do we adopt an extra sim to fill the gap?

You're allowed to adopt one Sim child per week. No more.

And what I meant by the Lifetime Wish rule that you quoted was say a child gets the Illustrious Author LTW. You do not have to take that LTW. You can cancel it and hope for something different. However, the only LTW you can take are ones that spawn.

Oh, you mean LTW's that pop up in the regular wish window?
Thank you for clarifying that.

For some reason I was thinking we couldn't do anything in this challenge unless we rolled a wish for it.  Then I re-read the rules and I don't see that anywhere.  I re-read the postings thus far to see why I had that idea and I found this response to someone's question about making over a sim that is wearing clothes/hair you don't like.

I guess I don't have a problem with that — make sure you're fulfilling a wish though. That's my stipulation. If you simply don't like the look and want to change them and they don't have a wish, tough luck. You'll have to deal with the mohawk.

"Rolling a wish" is just a stipulation for getting a makeover/changing appearance, not all other actions in the game like cleaning, eating, right?  Obviously, fulfilling wishes is part of the point of the challenge, but you don't have to have a wish to do the basics, right?  I have played a challenge like that and it's actually fun, but if this isn't that restrictive, there's no sense in me driving myself nuts either  :)

Taking care after the adopted children is considered a basic too, right?

Well, of course. If any would die you'd be out of luck because you can only adopt one per week.
