Salon at Home

Is it possible to set up a styling salon at home and if so where do you get the equipment/station etc.?

Yes, you can buy the salon station and place it at home. It it is under the hobbies tab in Build Mode. Be warned, it is rather big so make sure that you have a lot of space.

Thanks simdancer!!   I couldn't find a station so I didn't think it was possible, of course I looked everywhere but there!

It won't function as the Salon though. You can give Sims makeovers etc. but no Jobs will spawn or clients will come etc. You can invite sims to your home and solicit your work later on when you are higher up the Stylist Career.
