I really didn't realize the bugs in World Adventures went this deep. It's almost enough for me to fire up a Sim and go check up on Sekhmet Hawas, does anyone know if this behavior's been fixed?

According to the Dynasty thread this bug is still alive and well.  It can strike for any single sim who is teen or older, to any gender.  This is due to the way Foreign sims propagate themselves.  They do not have to have a romantic relationship in order to have a child, and when your sim meets them they can instantly spawn a baby (except that they don't have babies, they just pop out full grown children, no pregnancy necessary).

The only way to avoid this bug is to avoid traveling with your single sims.  If they are married then for some reason it won't happen, but if they're single... WATCH OUT!

I had magical kids in China, Eygpt, and France! I have the story in the share thread. I was mad, I already had 4 kids and 2 men living with me, so I could not be a mother to all the kids. It totally messed up my game.

Me too. My married female Sim had a child in France with Francois Lambert, after meeting the guy's daughter, Jeannine. She never even met Francois! During the next trip to France the game marries her to him even though she went on the trip with her husband. That must have been a really awkward conversation!
