Yeah, my iMac's 24" so I just stretched it out some and the scroll bar disappeared on your massive photo.

But did you see how cute that toddler is in the picture getting a hug from her sister?  Squeeee!

You are definitely right about the cuteness of that photo! I've yet to try out the interactions with child to toddler, teen to toddler, and teen to child, but I can only imagine how great some of them are!

I think there is a Bottomless WIne Cellar LTW, but how do you get it? As in do you need to have it and what trait/s do you need to make it come up?

No, you definitely don't need the Bottomless Cellar LTW. But, it certainly makes sense with your tasks in this challenge. It's the Green Thumb trait that's going to fire that LTW.

Horkslair, you're in.

Looks like I'm late to the party. Count me in.

Off to start some test characters now, I had one before for testing recipes but I didn't know this was going to be a 2 sim challenge. I've never taken more than 1 sim on vacation before so I've no idea whether that's a good or bad thing.

And I'm so glad you removed the #sims served scoring - I did a practice run where I practically had to trap them in a room with nectar and nothing else - then some f'ing neat freak would try to clean it up!

Glad to have you on board, Nancy.

A hint: think Martha Stewart.

Ha ha. That's funny. Yeah, my test Zeus and Hera that I created last week were in Riverview and it was like guitar central. Everyone broke out their guitars. Not good.

Maybe they were trying to complete the guitar star challenge!

:D

Besides my Martha Stewart tip above, I have one more freebie I'll throw out to everyone. It's not really a tip as it's more of a serious thing to consider when deciding where to plant your couple — Special Seeds. Riverview and Sunset Valley have definite differences in the amounts of Special Seeds that spawn. You'll need to figure that out for yourself. There are advantages and disadvantages of going with the town that clearly spawns more Special Seeds, namely, you'll be spending a lot of time obtaining the Special Seeds which is time away from keeping up with the growing garden you'll be making. Food for thought.

Can we have a 'culture fair' tip instead ;) I know she went to prison but I don't think thats what you were hinting at.

Martha is famous for a certain expression.

I personally dislike Martha Stewart with a passion.  Now to figure out her certain 'expression'.   :o

Go back to NancyJ's post on whether or not to take both Sims to France. It's staring you in the face.

With a bit of googling I think I can see what you're getting at... just not sure how at the moment. Need to run some tests.

Yeah, do it both ways. I didn't actually. My hint was just my gut instinct on whether on not taking both Sims to France is a good idea. Adding a Sim to the travel itinerary is what — another 1k simoleans? Not sure on the exact number. But, what do you get in return for that investment? 'Nuff said.

It would be nice if people competing in this challenge could keep some notes on their best recipes (obviously keep them to yourself until the end of the challenge). The recipes thread kinda died when someone looked up the code and found that the final outcome was determined by your computer but I still think there's something to be learned from seeing what recipes work well for other people. [edit — MM]. So far my best recipe involves [edit — MM] which I guess are out of this challenge but the value is still short of the $604 per bottle reported in the recipes thread which leads me to believe there's a better recipe out there for my computer (unless that was the concentrated price - I haven't been able to do that).

Anyway, just a suggestion.

I'm not experimenting in this event and will not be keeping notes simply because I already know what my recipe is.

Hehe, shame this game doesn't work like old-fashioned beat-em ups. I am the random button masher queen and I always win ;)

I'm definitely in on this one.

Tepoztecatl and Mayahuel will meet the Olympians' challenge with Aztec passion!

This will definitely warrant some more thorough research than what I did for Perfectly Happy.

As far as nectar recipes, does anyone know if your computer changes recipe outputs for each game file?

I think I'm with you. I have some ideas that should help me, but the rest I think I'll just make up as I go. :)

I don't have a big strategy plan, either.  Just going to play it my best and see what happens.  I don't have a lot of experience with nectar making, either, but I've read up on it some.

I don't really have a plan for this one.. going to read up as much as I can about nectar before I start and just take it from there. I must say, I've been enjoying the last few days/week. Playing a challenge has added a whole new spin on Sims yay
