It's okay. There are two difference concepts of time you need to keep in mind with any challenge: first is the start and finish dates — in other words...real time. These are always clearly noted in the schedule sticky as well as towards the bottom of each ruleset. The second concept is the amount of game time you're allotted for an event — this varies from event to event. It may be a full 12 Sim weeks, it may only be 8 weeks, but I try and make it clear in a couple different places in the ruleset.

Now I need to sleep and then I can look for another tomorrow. It was fun but I think I should done some things different, oh well you live and learn

Very true! I actually more than doubled it! Doubling it would mean 32 760 points.

Nope. She was correct all along. What was confusing was the 16000. 32 skill points in unmaxed skills is 1600, not 16000.

I guess photography. Do I get bonus points for also guessing that you didn't even touch a camera and got all 3 points from the book? Not a big fan of photography myself, that fact that its totally bugged since Generations just adds to that.
