Maxine Madness has done her duty :D

18 maxed skills  and 6 additional skillpoints   = 18300

(42 challenges * 0,05) + 1,00                   =  3,1

Final score = 18300 * 3,1                         = 56730
I only live in real life when my sims need a break ;)

Pretty solid participation in this event — 49 players. That's what I love to see. :) I guess I should let players cheat more often. Lol. Anyway, congrats to the champ, NancyJ, and to all participants — this is definitely one of the favorite formats for an event to be sure. Lots of fun.

I cannot believe how fast this season has gone. Only one event left.

This was definitely my fave event of the year. I think a big part of that is lots to do and all of it different. A lot of challenges can easily end up doing the same repetitive task for 12 weeks straight, with this one you're maxing 2 skills per week rather than watching your sim write childrens books for 12 weeks straight or playing the same guitar song over and over and over heh. Even with baby boomer, you're crazy busy but its essentially the same process over and over with each wave of new kids.

Congratulations Nancy,I would have loved to have completed this challenge but I went and blew it in the first week when my poor Sim burnt to death in a tragic inventing accident.

@Metro yes,yes you should let people cheat more often.

*happy dance* (not about the cheating part - the cheating part is lame ;) but otherwise this is my kind of challenge)

Hehe, I've sent Metro my HOF entry but I think most of its going to get cut - it was huge (oops - just ran a word count, it was over 1600!)

Congratulations Nancy!  I look forward to reading your HOF entry.  I too find it difficult to write a short entry but I don't think I've had anything cut yet (one was over 1400 words, others are slightly less), so it might all be there.

I think all 3 of mine got cut last year - especially crazy 8s lol (I had collectables locations and transmutation formulas etc) but I have noticed entries have tended to be quite a bit longer this year.

I read the hall of fame entry.  Great job with time management!  I wanted to say a couple of things that I did differently.

I did play in Bridgeport.  This made it easier to complete the insect collections, because it has extra insects that the other towns don't have.  I also spent most of the time that I was learning instruments performing in the subway.  I performed one time and cancelled it before I played for tips, and had made more than enough money in tips by the time my sim hit level 10 to have the skill achievement for tips.  My sim did this at the beginning and spent most of his tip money on a Margaret Vaguester, so that he could get around town quickly and easily. Even though I played in Bridgeport I still didn't do the professor of drinks challenge, because it would have taken too long.

I did get the paparazzi skill challenge in photography completed, which I was surprised about since I'd never done it before.  I did this mostly by attending various parties and taking pictures of the sims there.  He also completed the one where you take pictures of different subjects, since this did not take much in game time.

You said you did all the skill challenges except for the ones you listed as not having done.  Does that mean you completed the hero challenges for various instruments, and shutternut?  How?  Also, I am confused as to whether you completed architectural eye, since it says that you completed it but then listed it as not having been completed.

Bridgeport has extra insects?! I didn't know that, still don't think anything could convince me to play there though. I did originally do my instruments like that but the skill gain drinks massively reduce the amount of time needed to get through those skills. I think it knocked about 3 days off in total. 30 performances was about the right amount to get the 25k on one 6 hour drink. I did the car thing too in my original tests but since you have to spend 75 hours doing cardio I found that even jogging everywhere to get all my collectables, shopping trips and fishing sorted, I still had some top-up cardio to do to make the 75 hours.

I knew the 75 subjects would be doable but I just couldn't be bothered, that's like more organisation and planning than I put into the rest of the game! I think photography is my least favourite skill and mixology might just be my new favourite.

Great hall of fame entry!

There are many brilliant ideas there. Many things where I thought also "wow, why haven't I thought of it!". When I saw your video, I knew how much I had been sub-optimal with inventing :-) I agree that Mixology is over powerful with skilling, especially for the music instruments. It's just that I only used it for the 2 last instruments, certainly 24 hours were lost there. And it's "Photog" the photography challenge with 75 different subjects.

I knew I missed something - no, I did not do any of the "Star" challenges for the instruments, too unreliable and not worth the effort. I didn't do any of the photography challenges except Architectural Eye.

My main strategy was to pump out 3 of the instrument skills (I totally forgot to do Drums). With this, I used the guitar exploit on all of them and got 3 skill challenges easily. When my sim hit level 5 of each of them, I bought all of the compositions and learned them quickly.
I also discovered an interesting glitch - a Romantic Interest counts as a friend, no matter what the relationship level was. My sim was Charismatic, so that in combination with the "Master of Seduction" LTR meant my sim only needed to either WooHoo or Kiss a sim to make a friend. I did have to deal with the ramifications, however (accussed of cheating). My sim never really went out when I was leveling Charisma, however, so I didn't need to deal with it often. I just kept an eye on where Madeline was going and avoided her lovers. In the end, about 3 of her 13-ish lovers accused her of cheating - and I used the LTR "Clean Slate" afterwards to avoid any unpleasantness.
I didn't enjoy listening to the piano, guitar and bass over and over again, but I did enjoy the cheating part. I think that you should include a challenge like this next year. Even less for you to write in the specific challenge rules Metro - "Everything goes except Edit Town, BuyDebug and other cheats I wouldn't like you to use".

Oh, and to ease NancyJ's mind, and anyone else who wondered why Metro removed my post - I had a glitch after I discovered the glitch with Romantic Interests, where my sim could flat out not increase relationships. I fixed it by using TestingCheats to alter the relationships, always to the exact point they were. Metro believed I was flat-out cheating, but I don't think I had explained it well, so I PM'd him about it, and he let me continue.

No. If I had truly felt you were cheating then you'd be gone. ;) I just wanted that little trick clarified which you did.

IF I had more time I could have bested you Nancy! Good job. :)

Playing Crazy 8 last year definately helped me complete the collecting challenges no prob in this one. :)

Congratulation Nency! LThanks for lot's of great tricks in HoF!

I was good considering that I didn't practice and I planned while playing it. Actually, I haven't played the actual game ever since Generation patch ruin the game, so this challenge brought me back, and I love it! Interesting, many things to do and not much repetitive tasks.
I could do it much better but by the time I realized that I was near the end of the challenge. Totally forgot about tutoring children until it was too late, I haven't even tried setting up the things for handiness challenges, and I never got the opportunity to plant steaks. And I never find rainbow bug or butterfly even if I know their spawning places >:( In total, I think I lost at least 4 days so I know it can be done much better, but still I had a lot of fun.
I started with Logic in a library up to the max, then gardening but only up to level 6, after planting all I got to the max by tending garden. Next was mixology and with skill drinks it was instruments. Then it was almost random - I only left Charisma and inventing for last hoping I'll get that gardening opportunity chain - never got it, but got the Simbot one. I had no problems with friends and celebrity system - my Sim got friends while playing guitar, then few parties later (and tutoring poor Sims) with Legendary Host he got best friends he needed. Didn't tried the joke part..
And I did similar with blowing things up, only I put several cheapest chairs one on top of the other, and in 4 squares - moveobjects on is allowed - but I still needed to blow it up few times - all was done in 2 or 3 Sim hours.

I agree a million percent!!  ;D Congrats Nancy! If it wasn't for worrying that patch 1.24 would totally mess up my game, I would have had fun with this one! Well, hopefully next year!

I forgot to mention - my score would've been better if I had the sense to learn Charisma and THEN start Guitar. My sim would've learned two skills at once.
I also made a big deal of training her in as many skills that increase two skills at a time - Martial Arts (also trains Athletic) and Inventing (also trains Handiness). I think those are the only two.
