My Founder's Story
« on: January 19, 2010, 08:24:51 PM »
My founder is Leah Brown she is really pretty I might post a pic. She had a mom, but the mom was an elder who drowned in a pool the first day. This bad note started my legacy. Leah was single and living in a huge house. She met NPC Barry Sky at a party held by a mutual NPC friend. She was very flirty, and she eventually invited Barry home with her. They got really close and had woohoo! Leah woke up late the next day really nauseous. She found out that she was pregnant and asked Barry to move in. He had a girlfriend, though, so he said no. Leah accepted her pregnancy and went to her friend Ashley's house, who was a World Renowned Surgeon. She found out that she was having a girl. She didn't have anywhere to turn except her mom's best friend. She vented to the woman and then turned an old guest room into a nursery. Everything was pink. When she couldn't sleep, she read pregnancy books and child development books. By the time the baby was coming, she was ready. She thought it was going to happen shortly, so she invited Barry over to take her to the hospital. However, he was detained. She called Trudy, her mom's friend. Trudy was very old and also busy. She called Ashley, who was having a party. She decided that she had better chances of having a safe at home birth than taking a taxi to the hospital. She ended up with a baby BOY. She had been craving apples. She had to change the whole nursery to blues. She was always tired and was having bad nights sleeps and being woken up because her baby was lonely. He aged up to toddler and she wanted him to have toys to aid his development, but creating the nursery ran her dry, so she sold some possessions to pay for a babysitter and then got a job. She worked long hours and her baby was drifting away from her. When he became a child, he wanted chess boards and telescopes and ovens to make muffins and to go to the pool. She couldn't take him to the pool, so she installed one for him. He almost drowned on the watch of the babysitter, so she was fired. He (Aiden) developed hydrophobia and barely wanted to take baths. He was a teen, and he brought girls home. Leah had really wanted a daughter, so she called up Barry. He was single (with kids) and she took him. She got pregnant, and she got the daughter that she wanted, and she had a stepson and twin stepdaughters. She had a son who was almost a young adult, a stepson who turned 15, twin stepdaughters who were 8, and a new baby girl. Barry was getting old, and he died of old age, leaving Leah to raise 5 kids. Aiden couldnt afford to move out, so his fiancee moved in and they were pregnant. Her stepkids wanted to live with their mother, but she had moved out on them. Leah wanted to look her up, but she told the kids that she moved out of Sunset Valley into Riverview. Aiden's son Jeff started the next line in the legacy.

Hi andthenkaylawaslike!  Welcome to our forum.

That's a nicely done story.  Thanks for sharing it with us.  I'm curious, though...  are you playing the official Legacy Family Challenge from the Sims 3 site?  It sounds like it a little, but there are some rules you've missed.

This is a really good story. I'm curious, did you make the founder or did her mother give birth to her in game?
If you want to make some money early on, I reccomend Business Career. On Saturdays and Sundays (around ceo you get the option), my founder holds about 5 meetings and comes away with like 5,000. He also gets just under 2,000 for like 4 hrs.

Yes, I am doing a kind of legacy and following the part of buy the biggest lot in Sunset Valley. But, to be honest Im not into all that word by word stuff, I'm generation 2 and my family is set for life. (I'm so glad about the No Bills Lifetime Happiness Reward.)

Pam - I disagree that it's the official legacy challenge rules. Yes, it was the first but isn't this kind of the game? To go through generations of Sims, make money, don't use cheats and all that? So, basicly the Rules are just for people that want some more restrictions and make it harder on themselves. Yes, I am doing a legacy and following the part of buy the biggest lot in Sunset Valley. But, to be honest, I'm generation 2 and my family is set for life. (I'm so glad about the No Bills Lifetime Happiness Reward.)

I don't know what you're disagreeing with.  I only asked if Kayla is playing the official Legacy Family Challenge.  Her use of the words "founder" and "legacy" made me think of that particular challenge.  For all I know, she doesn't know about the Legacy Challenge and maybe she'd like to play by the official rules.  As for the object of the game, it's whatever anyone wants it to be.  Not everyone would play multiple generations or strive to be wealthy.  Pinstar's Legacy Family Challenge is specifically to play all the way to 10 generations with many restrictions.  That's where the use of "founder" and "legacy" started.  So, I'm just saying that if Kayla is trying to play that particular challenge, she's missing some of the rules.
