Ended on Week 9  Day 6  5:41 PM,

so that was 8 Full Weeks, 5 Full Days, and 17 hours, Minus 240 for all ten traits.

According to the spreadsheet, (Thank you Seabody) the total is 1241 hours.

I used the spreadsheet and got 1289 - 240 = 1049.

Welcome to the forum!
And 3 of the traits can be used by both sims. Read the rules again to see which ones.

Hmmm I concur with CynKuy

Week 9  Day 6  5:41 PM =

8 weeks = 8*7 = 56
+ 5 days = 61 days
61 days * 24 hours = 1464
1464 + 17 hours = 1481

1481 - 240 = 1241

I think you put the wrong figures into the spreadsheet (looks like it autosaved - you put in week 8 day 5)

Yep - 1241. I think the reason is Metro, that you placed in the Full Weeks and Days.
You just need to input the final week/day/hour/minute. That's all. Don't worry about changing it to Full days, full hours, whatever. Just put it in - the spreadsheet will do it for you.

You're right. It's the 2nd line of CynKuy's post that threw me and that's what I put in the spreadsheet.

Tramp and Hero Burns finished on Week 9, Day 2 at 6:02 pm. They had 5 nasty traits. 58 days - 5 = 53 x 24 = 1272 + 18 = 1290 hrs. This was fun!

Edit:  1410 - 120 (trait reduction) = 1290

I discovered in my practice that if your firefighter is not a celebrity, they apparently can't save a celebrity! Oh well.

My firefighter just arrived a large house fire and was not able to interact at all.  I reset him and sent him back.  Then he was able to put out the fire.  Is this allowed in the actual tournament? ???

Sure. Sounds like a glitch worthy of the reset.

Your starting two? They won't. Once you get them to enemy status and you just sit back and crank the speed up to watch they'll just hurl insults at each other.

Actually in my testing on a number of occasions they have done friendly interactions on their own - talking about favourite tv shows, and expressing fear of the dark, just to name 2. Should we just let them keep going, or will we need to slow the game down to stop them from having these interactions?

Doesn't matter to me. Your green light to go is when they are enemies AND starving. Both conditions need to apply. So, if you hit starving and your Sims have been chatting socially and are no longer enemies, then you're delaying the process.

I guess I have a glitch: not all the people saved by one of my Sims do register in her LTW count. She has already saved 5 lives, but it still says 3/30. Is that really a glitch? If so, can I add the missing "saved lives" by myself? Otherwise, I guess I won't be able to finish the challenge if the problem stays...

Just want to make sure of this:  She is the one who told those people to run, not the other person, right?

Sure. Though, it was an earthquake, so she was helping them get out of the obstruction. Her husband was doing the same thing with the other housemates, and his saved lives did count, but hers didn't, in two houses in a row.

Ended on week 6 day 2  6:48 PM
Used 10 nasty traits=10 days x 24=240 h
Full 5 weeks x 7=35 days x 24h=840 h
2days x 24 =48 h+18 h=66 h
840 h+66 h=906 h
906-240=666 h (?)

*sigh* Requesting permission to start from save, please.

The Roomies house in SV simply refuses to cooperate.  I'm running into the same glitch/bug I had during a practice run.  I can't enter the building.  All fires on the lot are extinguished.  I did a visual check with walls cutaway and again with walls non-cutaway.   Additionally, the box in the blue assignment box is ticked.   There are clearly Sims freaking out inside but I cannot interact with them.  I tried leaving the lot and coming back, and I made sure to click on the Fire icon to tell my Sim to Respond to Fire, but I still get the "No interactions" message.  The only option I get is to Visit the Roomies Household, which is not of any help.

This is so frustrating :(.

I know the answer to that problem, at least, I had the same problem and found a solution. Except no one answered my post about posting solutions to glitches.

Chuckles, I'd assume your best bet for getting an answer to your question is to send Metro a PM describing the glitch and the workaround.  I noticed that your post hadn't been addressed -- I probably should have mentioned something.  In any event, I assume Metro would have to make a ruling as to whether a situation is a bonafide glitch, then decide whether talking about the workaround is, in fact, discussing strategy.

As for me, I just went back to the last save (with Metro's blessing) and so far the Roomies haven't started another fire.  If they do, I'm tempted to just let 'em burn.  It'll serve them right for trying to sabotage my Challenge!
