I got nothing. Lol. I beat you, so that's a clear indication that something was messed up. Hahaha. No, seriously — it was a fun event. A little too much luck involved? Yes. How could anyone doubt that when your score is in the basement. But, I try and look at the big picture and realize that's it's fun to sometimes see a couple other names up near the top. This will obviously be an event you drop. For others it will be a huge boost.

I am one of those others and the fact that it was mere luck is the only reason I got anywhere near the top. Hehe but whatever works! I was lucky enough to get about 7 earthquakes and I used all 10 nasties but there weren't too bad. I had them dance together whenever they could and that helped with the fun mood and put them back up to acquaintances. Then I did a few other things nobody mentioned. When they were enemies they would constantly get wishes to be mean to each other so instead of fast forwarding till they were starved I kept it slow and made them interact meanly and when one would be mean to the other that one would get a wish to either be mean back or beat them up. I always excepted those wishes and that really racked up on the LTH points. As soon as they had enough instead of going for the rewards like Steel Bladder I went for the ones like Eye Candy and then for the male who wasn't the unflirty one I got Master of Seduction that way his romantic advances were never rejected. Then right away from acquaintance he was doing romantic interactions and they were engaged in no time I waited till the very end to have them marry so they didn't have to take time off. That is really all I have to add!

Yeah, master of seduction kinda made the unflirty and commitment issues completely trivial. I started working on the relationship as soon as they were enemies - they remain enemies until you get the relationship bar back above '0' so you could do a lot of that work while you were waiting for them to starve. I had them tell a lot of ghost stories because they're never rejected and give decent relationship gains 'per action' even if the interaction does take a while.

Something I completely missed on my first test was the ability to upgrade their personal fire extinguishers - makes putting the fires out faster and increases the chances of getting back from a small fire in time for a second call-out.

I saved up my happiness points on my people so I could get teleporters as my first reward.  Teleporting to the fire made putting it out a lot faster (they each used their own).

Nice score Delgar, and welcome back :)  I hope you'll be doing some other challenges, too.

Yes I will be attempting the last two challenges of the year, hopefully I can find the time. :)

I don't understand how this worked - How could you work on the relationship while you were waiting for them to starve when the rules said you can't do any friendly or romantic interactions until the starving moodlet appeared?  I didn't see "Tell Ghost Story" as a choice when just clicking on a sim - I see it under friendly, which wasn't allowed.  Did it show up differently for you?

Because as soon as they're enemies, they're enemies until they're friends and there is no rule saying that the relationship bar has to be 100% negative.

No Friendly or Romantic socials can be attempted until the Starving moodlet has appeared.
Yes, the relationship bar does not have to be 100% negative, but the player can't do anything but mean socials until they are starving.
That's how I interpret this.

Ooops looks like I missed that - I didn't actually do it in my real attempt because I went with good traits so even as enemies I spent most of the time having them walk around the lot so they would stay away from each other and stop trying to be friends.

In my real go they were both athletic, it took no time at all to build relationships - I did 'enthuse about exercise' and like someone else upthread I've found that the 'boredom' doesn't kick in if the little relationship panel goes away, so if you stop them interacting and then start again the counter that tells them to be annoyed with you for repeating yourself.

One thing I wish I had paid attention to - is that Charismatic sims have a benefit that acts like the Never Dull LTR - they can tell a joke four hundred times, in succession, and the other sim will never be bored. I think that, since my sims had identical traits, if I had found an interaction that gave them a decent bar boost, I would have actually remembered to finish the challenge. ::)

Huh, I didn't know that - the only time I've told jokes is for the charisma challenges, so my sim would have been charismatic. I just figured it was a joke thing.

Seems I finished last on this one  :D
I was worried for a bit that I wouldn't be able to finish it all. I had them play chess and watch telly together first to get them to socialize without getting into a fight. It went faster than I expected to get them to be friends and even if she turned down his first marriage proposal next time I waited longer and she said yes. They even had two kids that I have moved out as soon as the oldest turned into a YA to escape their mothers constant abuse of them.
It took the longest for him to reach his LTW but he was really hard to get moving, being a couch potato and all. The alarm would sound and would tell them both to go and deal with it, quite often I then realized that only she had made it their while he had ignored it to go and watch telly instead.
I didn't plan enough space in front of the house to make room for two fire trucks, so I got some funny screenshots from that.
Then when the fire was put out I had to watch them, he liked to sit down and watch their telly, even that he had a better one at home, she could start making drinks or insulting the inhabitants of the household.

Ooops looks like I missed that -

Well, your sims had good traits, and that might have changed the interactions and how they showed up - you  could have had options outside of the "friendly" section that I didn't have since my sims were mean and nasty and grumpy and all that bad stuff.

I just wanted everyone to know that I did PM Agneza for a HOF interview but have not heard back. She/He (not sure which..lol) was on today so I'm assuming she saw my PM.

@Agneza — if you happen to see this post and not my PM first, then check your PMs.

Hi everyone!
I apologize for the little delay in writing, but I was waiting for my husband to come back from a business trip to help me, cause my english is not good enough. Thanks for the congratulations, my regards to everyone who finish this event.
I was very dissapointed at the beginning, cause saving 60 people simed to be a very long enterprise. In my town my sims didn't fullfill his LTW after 12 weeks. I was surprised when I finished in 8 weeks and 2 days when I first practiced this event ( with 6 nasty traits). But this practicing helped me to see where I make mistakes, e.g. too early marriage, the right way to make them friends, how to speed up the intervention. At the end this event turned to be very amusing, it needed a good strategy and a big portion of luck.
The firestation is too big, it needed lot of time to walk, so I bought sleeping bags, radio, fruits and the hopscotch court. This way they didn't had to be inside the firestation at all, this speeded up the time they needed to go on the inetrvention. They where the whole time in the courtyard, learning the skills and took rest in sleeping bags. On the way to work and back they jogged. The first weekend they spend in the library learning skills, also sleeping there in sleeping bags and eatting fruits. The first ten days I was verry carefull not letting them to communicate with others cause they started the confrontation very easilly. I found out that the best way to get the red bar toward green is playing with hopscotch court. I was surprised how much this helped for this raised up fun, social and athletic. When I had enough points I bought the entrepreneurial mindset reward and after that office hero. In the second week they took charisma class which helped a lot the communication. I had more earthquakes. One person was engaged by the fire, and the other rescued. By the next earthquake they switch the role. After reaching the tenth level they had almost every day a small fire, and late in the afternoon a large fire. I played often on slow speed to prevent them doing something else instead of fighting the fire.
Reading Your posts I see that everybody had a good strategy, I simply had more luck this time. To be honest, I'm surprised with my score. I'm very happy cause to be in the first 20 was a big success for me. Good luck to everyone in the next events.
