You're right, the minutes won't matter. If anyone cares, here's my log of The Trump Challenge

I've finally finished this challenge at Week 11 Day 2 :D :D.

I guess I lost about a weeks worth of my limited play time due to the deed bug in patch 1.6  :( but I've now completed my first ever Sims3 challenge and beaten 'Carl the amazing' in the process :o

Great job, Helen! I had no idea anyone else was even still doing this one.

Well I got Sims3 much later than most so I'm way behind on the challenges I want to do.  I'm planning to do your Max Skills Marathon next, I've even planned my Sims traits so now to create him/her (not sure which yet) and play.

Nice work Helen! 8)

You should definitely try the Max Skills challenge, it's long but fun. You're bound to learn something, I'm still using things I learned from doing that challenge.

I just now noticed this:
...my Carl Sim can now safely Woohoo with Ivanka Trump without worrying about any 'accidents'.

If anyone is still doing this challenge, please speak up by Friday. Otherwise, I'll be moving this thread to the Graveyard. Thanks.

I'm going to be trying this challenge. I'm doing the Centurian's Solo challenge too, but I prefer to have a few games running simultaneously.

This will give me a motivation to complete it faster, as it is obviously quite a dead thread.

Kaitlin, don't feel rushed to get this one done quickly. I'll keep the thread in the main Challenges section for now and ask again in a couple weeks if anyone is still in it before moving it to the Graveyard.

Yeah, but I'll still try not to get distracted. By the way, THAT'S gonna be a challenge in itself for me :P

I'm about 1/3 of the way through - Week 4, Day 6 and Alan and Laura Harrison are now partners in every business. Now the hard part - getting the serious money for ownerships and the items. Another $824,775 to go. Omg I didn't realise how much further I have to go.

What the heck. I've learned a lot since I tried my hand at this that I'd be curious if I can shave any time off my effort. Kaitlin, I'm joining you!

Awww that means I'm gonna be bottom of the leaderboard  :'(

:D No, I shall think positively. I shall only be second bottom.

EDIT: Omg. I went to get my dinner, and pressed "p", to pause Sims. Little did I know that Sims wasn't highlighted, so it didn't register it. Got back - 4 Sims days, gone. Work performance down so that they are under a millimetre away from being fired. Could have earned around $35,000 - $40,000. Am sooo mad at myself.

OUUUUCH! Well, here's one tip if you don't know it already: always spring for the most expensive ownerships you can afford and wait until Sundays to make the purchases because that's when you'll have the most money.

Yeah, I know, I've been doing that. I wish Sims had an automatic save feature that you could use. Set it to save once every Sim day, or once every real life hour. It would come in sooo handy.

Well, I got to about 4 weeks and was doing well. Then Eftyen posted a mind-blowing score in Perfectly Happy that pushed me down a spot. And I've got a sinking feeling that my downward movement in that tournament is not over yet. So, I'm bailing out of this and doing some more prep work for the nectar tourney.

I think this challenge hates me. For some reason, for the past 3 Sim weeks, my Sim hasn't been able to collect ANY money from the Partner/Ownerships he has around town. He had all partnerships and the ownerships to Science Facility and Stadium and NONE of them would allow him to get any money.

Am going to start this from the beginning. If something goes wrong this time around, I'm quitting.

Kaitlin, it sounds like you're not patched up. The collecting money bug was fixed in a recent patch.

I've got all the recent patches and this bug has never happened before. Honestly, I sometimes think this game is more trouble than it's worth.

But then I play it and change my mind :P

I haven't heard of any other reason for you to be unable to collect from your deeds except for the bug that was fixed in the most recent patch.

??? Just my luck. I'll try uninstalling and re-installing and see if anything happens. Unfortunately, that is probably the extent of my technical knowledge.

Yeeeeeessssss!!! It is fixed! I have another game where I have ownership of the businesses and they can now collect the earnings. Unfortunately, I have lost so much time with my couple for this challenge that I am going to restart, if that's ok?

Sure, Kaitlin, you can restart. These older challenges are a lot looser than the new ones. Hopefully you have smoother sailing next time around.

Fingers crossed. I'm not a big fan of CC, so any I did have has now been deleted. So there is no way anything can go wrong this time....I hope I didn't jinx it.  :(
