It's not a back breaker that's for sure. But, there's some micromanagement techniques that some skillful players will take advantage of that will save time.

I'm in :D i feel very lucky so maybe i would start now :D

I'll add you to the leaderboard, but you cannot begin until Friday when the event officially opens.

Oh, i don't start right now even if i want.

Nope. Everyone needs to complete the challenge in the same span of time for fairness.

.. maybe i would make just the family for moment.

That's totally okay. I've created my team and moved them to their lot and several other players have as well.

The following new rule has been added today —

  • Tinkering is banned.

There's a very good reason for this. Players can have their Sims tinker objects at lvl 1 handiness and objects will automatically upgrade to a random upgrade often before they technically can be given a certain upgrade. Most importantly, not everyone has this knowledge, so some players would be at a severe disadvantage by not employing this trick. So, the simplest solution is to simply ban tinkering. My thanks to mordana666 for bringing this to my attention.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!! Lol, I was so hoping to be able to tinker since that would seriously speed things up. Oh well, as long as no one can do it.

Yeah, I figured I'd get that response. Anyway, have you seen my last response on the nectar challenge thread? I asked a question that I really do want answered... lol.

I'm planning to make Bob The Builder and his Can Do Crew!  lol  Sorry, with twin 2 year olds in my house that's the first thing that comes to mind. :P

I've always wondered why Bob & Wendy in that show never hook up... maybe I'll find out in this challenge.

They almost did in one episode. You could feel the tension. I can't remember what the main plot was. It was so funny.

Ok, I've made my team and they are at the lot ready to get started this week.

While not feeling as creative and not particularly in the mood to creat a team from a design show or such.
I did however download and install from the exchange a sim version of my favorite female singer Mylene Farmer and one other sim version of her previous protègé Alizée to add to those two I did make a decent version of Mylène's songwriting partner and producer Laurent Boutonnat.

[Edit:  Please stay on topic. Thanks!  -Pam]

I think I saw that one, where they went out to dinner at the cafe together for the "grand re-opening" or something like that.  Wendy obviously wants more from their relationship, while Bob is totally oblivious.  Hee hee!  So typical...

This one looks fun too! And handiness is one skill that I've used a little bit, but haven't fully tried out yet. Unfortunately, my jobs tend to have long and unpredictable hours and will be starting up again right after this challenge starts. I might have some time in March, so don't mark me down yet, but hopefully I will be back to tackle this challenge! If not, then I'll just have to try it for fun someday!

This event officially opens in less than 24 hours....

So, with that in mind I want to remind all participants to please reread the rules before beginning. There are some rules unique to this event such as the "no tinkering" rule and the "kaching cheat" rule.

I'm hoping everyone's move from one neighborhood to another is nice and smooth with no glitches, so if you've never done this action before it may be in your best interest to go through the steps outside of the event.

Remember when you post your final results, I need Weeks, Days, and the hour (PM or AM or 24-hour format) you finished for each town. Don't worry about minutes. Just ignore them.

Good luck, everyone. See you at the finish line!

I assume you start off by reading the handiness book, since they do not have the skills to start with, can you upgrade your own appliances, might sound like a dumb question, I know you can't upgrade anyone elses, but thought I would ask to make sure.

So, i have a suggest for you, Metro.
When you finish one town, you should do a photoscreen of each member's Handiness board to know you didn't cheat with one - two upgrads in less.
If you understand what i mean.
For exemple my team - Sean, Darren, Melissa. Sean did 12 upgrads, Darren 15 upgrads and Melissa 13 upgrads .You will calculate the amount.

I tried to explain how could i do . I'll need to enhance the english from now on.

Thanks for the suggestion, lovergirl. But, I'm going to pass on that requirement. The rules are clear: one upgrade per object, and no more. I trust everyone. Requiring screenshots just means more legwork for everyone.

Ok well it is well into friday here and I have finished!!
Really enjoyed the race aspect in this challenge, much preferred it to the 100-day ones, but that is just my style :)
My little trio started in Sunset Valley and completed it on Week 1, Day 7 at 6pm.
We then moved neighbourhoods to Riverview and completed that on Week 2, Day 2 at 8am.

Fingers crossed for ME! Maybe I will actually place somewhere worth being on the board this time!!
Looking forward to everyone else's scores.

New Zealand :) first place in the world to see the sun rise, man!

Plus, it didn't take very much real time at all, so I had it done and dusted in a jiffy!

Ha ha. That's awesome. Very good. I'll convert your score into hours. Wouldn't be a bad idea for all of you to double check my figures against your own.
