Degrassi Legacy
« on: February 06, 2010, 09:57:00 PM »
(Yes, I am so typical). I was bored the other day so I decided to start a legacy. Degrassi: The Next Generation is my favorite show so I decided to name my people after characters on the show. This Legacy will probably not be illustrated but we will see.

Enter Emma Degrassi!
Evil, Flirty, Genius, Brave, Heavy Sleeper
Favorite color: red
Emma has red skin and black eyes. This will be a matriarchy with the criteria for an heiress being red skin. Flirty will be a passed down trait

Emma has decided she wants to start a new life in the town of Sunset Valley. She was scammed into buying a large plot of land and, consequently, has no money.
I quickly purchase a cheap double bed, fridge, toilet and shack to house said toilet. This leaves her with 2 Simoleans

Emma is an evil Sim so she immediately wishes to join the Criminal career track. This could get interesting seeing as I have set my sights on Hank Goddard. She decides to take a cab over to his house and woo him. Hank is outside watching the sunset and Emma seeks her prey. After MANY tries she eventually kisses him and then asks him to break up with Pauline. She hasn’t even met the woman and already wants to be mean to her. He responds positively to every romantic interaction and the head upstairs to try for a little bundle of joy (HA!). Hank refuses and pushes her away. She changes tactics. After a few tries she gets him to move in with her and the fun begins. For some reason, Hank goes back to the shack and Emma sleeps in the bed at Paulina’s house.

After being kicked out the next morning, Emma heads home just in time to meet up with Hank. She decides that she needs him to be hers so she becomes his girlfriend. Since I am on a roll here I have her “Propose Marriage” and “Have a private wedding”. Then (I hate babies SO much) they decide to produce a little heiress.  I didn’t think this through as they only have ONE wall. Using Hank’s paycheck I managed to pay for two more walls. The next two Sim days pass uneventfully except for one thing Hank rolls a want to woohoo with Blair Waignwright, his police officer partner. I quickly dismiss it and a want to woohoo with Jamie Jolina pops up. Uh-oh.

Emma goes into labor at 3 a.m. As she heads to the hospital, I realize one thing. I forgot to buy a crib. I quickly take care of that (they have a roof now, the luxury) and little Manny enters the world. Her traits are Heavy Sleeper and Genius (I did NOT pick these, she’s a mama’s girl). She is red with brown eyes. I lead Emma and Hank to the bedroom for some ‘celebrating’.

Emma wakes up around 9, runs to the bathroom and throws up.

I’m not sure how well this plan was thought through especially since I was too lazy to get Emma a job before she became pregnant with Manny.

This will be interesting.

Stay tuned for more from Hank, Emma,  Manny, and the unborn child who’s name will be Paige or Spinner.

Oh did anybody on this site watch the original Degrassi from the late 1980’s. If so you might recognize that the producers picked up the modern idea for Degrassi on the grounds that the baby that was born during the series was old enough to go to high school. Emma was not only the founder of my Legacy, but of a TV show that is entering its 9th season.

That's a great start on what looks to be a very interesting legacy!  I can't believe Hank wanted to woohoo with Blair and Jamie!  I've never had something like that come up for a married Sim.  Has he been pursuing them romantically?  And I thought he was such a good guy.  :)

He was best friends with Jamie and flirted with her once of twice. I use "Chat With Partner" at work a lot so maybe the can flirt at work? Hank does have comitment issues and wants to be a Heartbreaker. (Not near my Sim he's not >:()

Oh, that's right!  I forgot about the commitment issues he has.  Lol.  Now it makes sense.

Oh this will be cute!  I'm, ummm, 26 and watched both Degrassi's until Mia showed up.  I was exactly like Emma in school (minus "social diseases"), even looked like her.

The early seasons WERE better.

Alright, the second baby was born and we named her Paige, she is not red. I was able to add a ding table some cribs and start on a 2nd floor with the money we had saved.

Manny aged up to child and she is the cutest little thing (Pam likes toddlers. I like kids). She can take care of herself; all Emma has to do is cook and put meals in the fridge. There was some drama about the fact that the dining table was to close to the oven and nobody could cook.

After giving birth to Paige, Emma decided to find a job. She went to the Outstanding Citizens Warehouse and got a job at the first level. Her athletic was at 3 so she was fine. I had her go to the Gym and work out for a long time. She gained 2 levels. I had her go home soon after.

It was very challenging taking care of Paige because she was a little whiner. I also have no schedule for taking care of babies so this was difficult. Hank was constantly woken up by her whining. As a result, sometimes it would be 3am and I realized he hadn’t slept yet.  After a nearly impossible toddler stage, Paige became a child and Manny became a teenager. Manny immediately set her sights on Sam Sekemoto.

Dear faithful viewer(s),

Something awful has happened. My legacy has been corrupted and is now gone.

I am very sorry-

It was awful. When I opened my game, I noticed the picture of the current version of the Degrassi family wasn't there. I still clicked on it and recieved a black screen and a notice that said "your file has been corrupted".

Oh no!  I was interested in this one too.  Can you go back to your last reverted save?  There's a youtube video somewhere that shows you step-by-step how to do so.

Sorry as you may know, I was AWOL with a broken wrist. I am also typing a really depressing story 24/7. I will get back to Degrassi ASAP. (Don't you love acronyms ;D)
