Expanding the Building guide?
« on: August 13, 2011, 09:42:11 AM »
Hi,
I have been reading the building guide for some time now, it is good but there us much that could be added to it, there are many talented builders around here and I think that many could be glad to help with it, so maybe it could be expended?
Best Regards,
kiko94

This is something that we'll be working on once we get some of the more urgent items completed.  I'm sure Carl will let everyone know when he's ready and exactly what he needs, so stay tuned!  :)

I will accept any quality building articles. I'd love to build that section up. Any docs and screenshots can be mailed to carl@carlsguides.com Just be sure to denote within the text where you want any screenshots to appear.

This would be great! I would love to help in any way possible, but if Kiko plans on doing it, that's fine. I would probably do a "tour" on all the different build mode tools, such as foundations and half-walls.
If I were to do this though, there's one thing that I heard you say in the Stuff Pack Guide Thread (before you found the other website):

Just be sure to denote within the text where you want any screenshots to appear.

I'm sort of confused by this. Do you want the person to go (Screenshot) [Actual Screenshot], or put some sort of number there and have all the actual screenshots with there respective number sitting on the bottom? Thank you  :)

I think he meant the number thing, however I won't be able to do it on my own, and beside pam told us to wait for them to finsh whatever they are doing, befor we get a plan on  who should do what, or did I misunderstood?

Well, Pam is right..there's a lot on the plate.. but that doesn't mean you can't work on it. By numbering I mean the screenshot # should appear somewhere noticable in the text, like between two paragraphs. PM me the message and note where the images go and I can have it up within a couple days.
