The Bridgewood Legacy

Introduction

Hey everyone. I have done only one unpublished legacy before, and I actually got to generation ten on it, so I made a new one. Let's hope this goes well. I currently have another going on, which will be my "break file" for when I am not playing the legacy.

I am going to mix up the rules a bit:

- The heir doesn't have to be female (my founder will be female).

- I will be doing alphabetical names. (April for child one, Bobby for child two, etc.) I probably won't need help with names, as I am quite creative but I might need help. Twins will always have the same letters. (Tia and Tara, etc)

- She will either start with a boyfriend or have a CAS spouse she will marry later. Sorry guys, I don't like to marry townies, I like to "make" my own genetics.  :)

- I will most likely stop at generation five, but I may continue if I'm up to it.

And some other notes before we begin...

- Anita will be in Riverview.
- CC may be used, so please don't hesitate to PM me if you have questions about hair I use. I only have hair and some store clothing, so it will mostly be game items.
- If you see any custom patterns that I don't credit you for that is yours, please PM me and I will fix it.
- Updates will come at least once a week.
Table of Contents

Chapter One: A New Home in Riverview
Chapter Two: Could This Be Love?
Chapter Three: The Secret
Chapter Four: Apologies
Chapter Five: Surprises

Spoilers!

A note to new readers: The following links are spoilers. This means I release some information about the next update before it is actually published. These are not updates to the story, so if you want a surprise, do not read these. I made this section for those of you, who, like me, like to read comments, but you don't want to read any spoilers.

Chapter One: A New Home in Riverview

My name is Anita Bridgewood. I'm a artistic, bookworm, family oriented, nurturing, computer whiz Taurus. I want to become a famous author.

I moved to Riverview after my old house burned down. My mom said it was the right thing to do when I said I wanted a fresh start. I moved from dirty, crowded Bridgeport into beautiful Riverview. I chose to purchase an empty lot and bring 1,800 simoleons with me.

Pretty soon I had built myself a ramshackle of a house. I started to cry as I only had 15 simoleons left.
I headed to the library to start my writing, as I had no computer! Unfortunately there was no writer application so I decided to go online to a chat room.

I met some guy named Mark Strider. He sent me a picture of himself, and boy was he cute! I sent him back a picture of me and he said I should come over to meet him in person.

I went over to the address he sent me. He had a nice two room cottage.

We hit it off real well. He is family-oriented and nuturing, like me. He also likes to read books and is a Taurus. He wants to become and teacher and have a big family. He never said whether he was single or not. I assumed he is.

I made the first move, and he accepted it. Does he have feelings for me, too?

I decided to go home around nine. I had to eat soup on the toilet since I couldn't afford a chair yet.

I quickly fell asleep in my sleeping bag.

Author's Note: As you can see, I wasn't lying when I said there will be CC. Mark and Anita's hair are both CC. Her top is from the Store, and her nails is CC. Everything else you've seen so far is game content. Do you guys like it so far?

Chapter Two: Could This Be Love?

I awoke at 6am sharp the next day. I was excited as today I was going to get a job!

I chose to get a part-time job at the supermarket for the time being until I could afford a computer and I was getting a steady flow of cash from writing. I'm supposed to arrive tomorrow around three. I called up Mark to celebrate and asked if wants to get breakfast with me. I even said I would pay for the meal. He said to meet him there.

I arrived shortly at the restaurant. I started off by complaining how starving I am, and I can't wait to eat! I heard it was really good.

After we ate a rather greasy meal (which ate up 12 of my simoleons, by the way!) Mark told everyone a ghost story. I thought it was cute.

Mark gave me a bunch of flowers as a gift. I'll find a place for them at home.

He even held my hands hand gently swung them back and forth. Does he really like me just after one chat online? I think I got an idea for a book!

I decided to do the first real move: a kiss. Mark looked shocked, but he held onto me a little longer and gave me a hug. I decided to go home since it was already six and it takes almost two hours to get home in that slow taxi! Hopefully I can save up for a car too.

I felt rather dirty when I got home - literally. I stank like a skunk sprayed me! I will have to stop at the gym to take a shower.

I put the bright, purple flowers on the sink. It brightens up my little house and makes me feel cozier.

I lay in my sleeping bag for a long time, thinking about today and Mark. Could this be love?

Authors Note: Sorry for a short chapter but I didn't have much time to play. I'm thinking about doing dialogue once Anita gets married. I won't say who it is, but you can say your ideas if you want. What do you think, will Anita marry Mark or move on?

Chapter Three: The Secret

I woke up at four thirty. I was groggy, but since today was my first day of work I had to take a shower. I hadn't had one in days!

I stopped at the Riverview Gymnasium. I was surprised to see a car parked there that early!

After my refreshing shower, I decided to gussy up and stop at Mark's.

My visit was rather brief, but I decided to go steady with him during that time. Afterwards, we talked about my new job. Mark has yet to find one. Also, right before I sped off to my first day of work, we had a little fun...

A large crowd of people were grumbling about long lines. Good thing I arrived! I expect some tips today. I heard some people gossiping once they saw me. Did they know about me and Mark?

I arrived home with a smile on my face. 98 hard earned simoleons, jingling in my pocket! I could buy a computer in just a week! I sleepily ate a cold sandwich and dropped into my sleeping bag.

I woke up in the middle of the night, feeling awful. I threw up my dinner into the toilet...perhaps I ate some bad meat?

After waking up a few hours later, I stopped at the stylist on the way to Mark's and gave myself a new outfit...just in case.

The moment I stepped into Mark's house, I threw up again. I felt relieved it wasn't on the lawn! I found out I was pregnant the moment I finished my business! I was so happy...a little baby to care for...Mark's baby. I felt disgusted with myself...we weren't even married. I have to tell Mark though...

Once I sat down next to Mark and pecked his forehead, the doorbell rang twice in a row, and sounded rather angry. I stood up and insisted on greeting his visitor.

A rather rude woman was at the door. Once she saw my bump, she glared hatefully.

"Did you dig into everyone's fridge last night, fattie?" she spat. My eyes got shiny.
I tried to explain. "I..." She finished my sentence for me.
"Look" she snapped, "I have come to see Mark. Where is he? And who are you?" I disliked her more and more as each hateful word poured out of her mouth.
"I'm Mark's girlfriend..." I started to get confused. I remembered the rumors from yesterday at work. Had she heard them?
The woman looked at my as if I was some monster.

"Well I," she spat hatefully, still glaring at my stomach, "am Mark's wife."

Author's Note: Cliffhanger! I wanted to finish really badly, but I love cliffhangers. Stay tuned! I felt rather hateful about the last part, but I love legacies with drama in the first generation. Anita will get married soon...Probably around chapter four or five.

Chapter Four: Apologies

Those words pounded in my head like a drum. There was one thing on my mind: run. I ran as fast as I can. Every step I took pained me, but it felt good to run away from my troubles.

I could hear yelling from the house. Mark sounded really angry.

"Why do you always do this Sandy? Why do you keep following me?"
"Because we are married, you idiot!"
"No, we're not. I signed the papers, and so did you. Leave Anita and I alone!"

I heard the door slam and stomping footsteps. I bit my lower lip. Is Mark married or not?

I went to the park to cool off. I got a call from Mark, saying he wanted to talk to me about something important. I hung up. I didn't want to talk.

I was exhausted, but I didn't want to leave. I didn't feel like taking another step. I fell into a lounge chair and fell asleep.

I awoke with pains in my tummy. I decided I should head home so I can feel safer.

Mark was there at my house, around 3:00. I completely ignored him and went inside. I was too angry and upset to talk to him. I wish he would stop following me and calling me as well, as I got another call.

I called him in the morning and he arrived almost as fast as I can say "Anita". I can tell he's been wanting to talk to me.

The moment he saw me, he pulled me into a hug.
"Anita...are you..." he whispered.
I kissed a lock of his hair. "Yes...I'm pregnant with your baby." I felt him smile on my neck. I pulled away from his embracing hug.
"Mark...why didn't you tell me?"
"What do you mean?" This made me mad. What did I mean? I wanted to kick him.

"What do I mean, Mark? Why didn't you tell me you had just gotten out of a relationship? Or if you even are in one? Mark, I am having your baby and I don't even know whether your married or not!"
He looked as if I had slapped him in the face, but he gently took my hands and caressed them.

"Anita, I'm not married. Sandy has this thing where she's been following me since me separated. I didn't want to scare you off when I would say some old lady is stalking me. Listen, we should go to the park. I need to talk to you."
I giggled. "Okay" I whispered. I stroked his blazing orange hair.

Mark lightly pecked my cheek and brushed a lock of hair back from my face.
"Anita, I want to show you something."

He bent down on one knee. I gasped and widened my eyes.

"Anita...will you marry me?"
His words were so short, yet so life changing. My mind was set.
"Yes, Mark." I said with tears in my eyes. "Yes."

I felt as if I was the luckiest woman on the planet.

Woot woot! Anita's married!  :D I'm so excited till next update!

Hopefully I will update tomorrow. I feel I didn't get enough shots but I want to start Ariagirl's Abc Townie Legacy, I forget what is was called, lol, but I will defianatly update tomorrow.

Spoiler Alert! Please do not continue if you want to have a surprise.

I just wanted to say that Anita had TWINS! I will reveal gender and twins tomorrow. I'm anxious, as Anita will be an adult about ten days, I think. I don't know, I have aging off in some games and it's effecting my story, so I have to keep turning it off. Anyways, she just got a computer and she hasn't finished her first book yet. So crossing my fingers her LTW (Professional Author) will get completed!

Chapter Five: Surprises

Tears spilled down my cheeks and dampened Mark's shoulder. I kissed his ear over and over.
"I love you, Mark." I whispered
"I love you Anita."

I prepared a wedding for that night. I rented the arch and chairs from a wedding supply store. It would only be me, Mark, and some acquaintances I met along the road. The buffet table and cake will be delivered later.

The guests started arriving around seven. Everyone wore their best clothing. I noticed Sandy showed up. Mark bit his lip and was about to ask her to leave, but I said she just wants to see him happy again. I hope that was true. I was a little sad I would have no wedding dress, no dressed up hair, no veil. I couldn't squeeze into a dress, and I had no money for one anyway. My mother's veil was back in Bridgeport, buried under ashes. After having a toast, I called to everyone's attention.

I kissed Mark's cheek. He gazed into my eyes.
"I love you, Mark....and I always will."
"I love you Anita...and I will love our baby." He stroked my large tummy while he said this.
We exchanged rings. We were now man and wife. We were together. We were married.

I cut our strawberry wedding cake. I gulped it down right away and took another slice. I had never been so hungry. I ate a salad as well.

Mark brought in about 10,000 simoleons. He was embarrassed that he didn't have much, but I told him I married him for love, not for money.

The wedding went on until midnight, until the final guest left. Then, we cleaned up and put the cake and leftover buffet food in the fridge. I returned everything to the wedding supply and fell into bed. It was three AM by the time we got under the covers.

We both woke up at seven. I went to write a book on my new computer, while Mark got a job as a teacher at the school. Which reminds me, I haven't been to work lately. I got days off for maternity leave and because of my wedding. Mark has a morning shift and I have an afternoon shift, so we can always have someone at home to watch our little one.

Mark took me to the gazebo on a picnic after we got back. I sat down and took a bite of my apple and then...

I went into labor.

"Mark! Hospital...now!" I gasped
Mark picked me up and called a cab. He said it would take an hour to get there, as he is already transporting somebody. Mark grumbled.

"Anita, we're going to have to walk to the hospital...should I carry you?"
"No. I'm fine." I planted my feet on the ground and almost fell over. Mark caught me.
"Anita, I'm carrying you. That's an order."

We walked for about twenty minutes to the hospital. I fell asleep once we entered the lobby.

"Hello...this is an emergency, my wife-"
"We'll have a room for her right away. Name?"
"Mark Stri- I mean, Bridgewood. Mark Bridgewood."
"Okay, follow me."
...

A few hours later...

"Hello, Mr. Bridgewood. Your wife just gave birth to two baby girls. What would you like to name them?"
"Have the first child be Anna...what is she like?"
"Well, she is very strong, Athletic I should say, but she was woken up easily once I set her down. Light sleeper is a good word for it."
"Okay, what about her sister?"
"She is also very athletic, like her sister. Although, she seems shy, a loner.

I woke up. A nurse was smiling. Mark was holding two babies in his arms. I covered my mouth with my hand.
"Twins? I had...twins? What are they like?"
Mark held my hand, handing one of the infants to the nurse. "Anna, as I have named her, is the older one. She is athletic, very firm grip. She is also a light sleeper. Her sister, which you may name, is athletic and a loner." His eyes were twinkling.
"Alice." I said firmly.
"Huh?" asked Mark.
"Her name is Alice. My sister's name."
The nurse smiled. "Okay, Mr. and Mrs. Bridgewood. Can you carry them home, or would you like a basket?"
"We can carry them." I said.

I carried one of the little children in my arms, Mark the other. A cab was out front. I stepped in and headed home.

I ate some leftover turkey from the wedding when I got home. I was starving!

After giving birth to the twins, I noticed I had put on some weight. I would go to the gym later.

...

I heard the doorbell ring. I opened the door, and the post lady was there.

"Mrs. Bridgewood?"
"Yes?"
"A package from Alice Bridgewood? Is it yours?"
"Oh, yes! Thank you!"

I tore open the package from my sister. There were two odd looking toys in there. I read a note.

Congrats, sis! I stopped at a pawn shop, you know, the one we used to go to. Anyways, they had these odd little toys. The lady said they were special and kids grow fond to them for some strange reason. Anyways, see you soon!"

I looked at the toys. I handed one to each child. I could only get one picture, Alice didn't let me take the other one out of her arms!

I staggered into bed with Mark. I was exhausted.

...

Boy, are twins exhausting! I woke up three times before I finally got to sleep more than an hour. I woke up at nine, rather late for me.
Mark had already left for his first day of work. I ate breakfast, but got interrupted by a wailing cry, then another. The worst part is, I don't have enough money to buy two cribs, so Alice has to sleep on the ground. I fed them and changed them both. It was around four when I finally put them down for naps. Mark was home. He brought home some money. He expected a promotion very soon. I said goodbye, and headed to the gym.

I did some cardio on the radio. I didn't want to look all tough from strength. I'll leave that to Mark. He has a six pack as well.  ;D

I checked myself out in the mirror. I looked good! I headed home around nine. Mark was already in bed. There has been so much excitement for the past three days!

Yayy! TWINS! I decided that after Anna and Alice, I'll have no more kids. Sorry Mark, no completed LTW for you.  :D I just wanted to apologize for the late update. I had company over yesterday cough *friends* cough and we were busy goofing off I didn't want to be rude. Also: The blue plaid on the bed and clothes rack is an Ausette pattern. Thanks Ausette!

I'm Still Alive! Update

Has it been a month already? Phew. Have I been busy!

I recently got back in two games I used to play actively: World of Warcraft and a game called Whyville. They are both very fun to play. I still play Sims 3, and I will be getting Pets soon.

I have also been busy with school; new quarter, new classes, and lots of homework. So I've been busy with that.

I have an update, by the way, very juicy! Its half way done. I'll just say there are some "disagreements" in the next chapter.

Cheers! Hope to have time to update soon.
